This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopping
by a J.Crew store this weekend to see
what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in
person, maybe you might be
willing to share that with us in this
post. In particular, if you could
share with us a few of the
noteworthy items that are available, at
what prices, and potential sizes
the store is carrying (as well
as the store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also,
please let us know if your local store is
carrying an additional percent
off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S.
I noticed that many of
you have already been reporting sale
items (and in which stores) in
other posts which by the way "thank
you!" :) I really appreciate how
helpful we are for each other!

$40 in rewards just sitting there...waiting for a good sale.
ReplyDeletethere's a pair of pants i'd buy in the sale section (and of course it's showing only 1 pair in my size available) but even with the 30% off and rewards, it's more than i originally paid for a different color that wasn't final sale.
ReplyDeleteWhich pants? I’m curious about
DeletePleat-front easy pant in 365 crepe
Item AV644
Because I lost a pair of crepe joggers (or gave them to daughters) and I like that these are a little more structured.
Vintage slim straight stretch chino pant (Item AB648). I'm a very casual dresser and live in chinos and jeans most of the time.
DeleteI like those pleat-front pants! But the rise is too high for me.
Did anyone else get an email from a “personal stylist” (mine is wearing that square neck seersucker jersey top and sunglasses in front of a fountain) with their favorite selections (nothing I’d ever wear) offering a virtual consultation? Kind of funny because if they looked at my purchase history my style is pretty clear and this is not it.
ReplyDeleteHi Suz, I got a similar email but for men’s stylist. I seldom buy menswear from the crew.
DeleteNothing for me as of today, only an email from my own personal stylist asking how I’ve been and if I need her assistance with anything. Other general emails flying in from Crew Cuts to Menswear which I never purchase. No interest in Jcrew at the moment. Perhaps this may change after their large launch mid month
DeleteYes Suz. I received the same email from stylist Amber so I think it was a mass mailing maybe. I do like the look of those Made-in-Italy half-circle drop earrings
DeleteItem BB545 though!
I received the same email, but I'm like Lynn now with no interest in anything J.Crew has to offer right now.
DeleteMe neither, at least nothing new I’ve seen.
DeleteI received it. No thanks.
DeleteThe PLAY Comme des Garçons converse showed up this morning, not final sale, so I grabbed a pair. I doubt they will ship but weirder things have happened. I don’t usually like the fit of converse but reviews said these are much more cushiony. They are elsewhere for $150 and they were $100 and additional off. Still a lot for converse now that I think about it. 😂
ReplyDeleteI have bought and returned those sneakers twice in the past few years, and couldn't figure out my size even though I wear non-PLAY converses as my regular tennis shoe. That unisex sizing throws me off - my size 6 feet are too small.
DeleteWell I’m not holding my breath then! I ordered an 8 and if they are unisex sizing they will be way too loose. They haven’t shipped yet and I almost hope they don’t..although I ordered a few joggers from Nordstrom and know I’ll be returning a bunch anyway so hopefully I can coordinate returns to one day.
DeleteI've been stalking a dress online for weeks (the cottage dress). I couldn't try it on because my store doesn't have it. It was marked down 60% a few weeks ago but now it's only 30% final sale. So, no thanks. J.Crew should auction these items. Or do 7-day returns. No one is buying them.
ReplyDeleteRecently my store has been taking things back, but it’s still a tricky proposition and I don’t like to risk it on too much.
DeleteI agree with you and hate final sale.
This weekend, I went into a couple of stores that I haven't been to since pre-pandemic: ZARA, COS, & Other Stories. Now I get why JCrew looks the way it does this season and next: except for COS, which always seems to buck trends, everyone else seems to be doing similar takes of the same styles - poufy shoulders, Amish collars, ruffle necklines, sun-washed colors, country florals, poly poly poly, chunky soles. Only difference is that JCrew seems to be doing a slightly upmarket version of that. Not my style, I hate looking like a Raggedy Ann doll from the 1980s. I don't think I'll be buying ANY new clothes for the rest of the year if this is how fashion trends are going.
ReplyDeleteThere’s a lot I hate in that description. The raggedy Ann kind of cracks me up but that nails it for me. Not for me.
DeleteI don’t mind puffy shoulders and chunky shoes but really don’t like most of what I’m seeing out there.
Pouffy shoulders remind me of the bridesmaid dress I had to wear to my uncle's wedding in the early 1990s. I could have stuffed two bread rolls in each sleeve. What I really hate about current trends is how all of them infantilizes women. I see a lot of women on the subway wearing a mix of them and they look like middle school children from the 1980s/90s, except they're in their late 20s/early 30s. They don't look like women. They look like children.
Delete@eeps My shoulders are so wide that poufs are the last thing I need.
DeleteBack in the 90's the first thing I would do with a new blouse or dress was snip out the little shoulder pads. In a way it was a good trend for me, since the extra shoulder room without the pads worked out well.
