This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)

I feel like I’m one of the very few people who like the look of the loose button up (especially the stripe) over the wide leg pant. I have several striped button ups but none as loose and billowy as what is shown. I’d tuck my shirt.
ReplyDeleteI also like the warm brown pant color, but wonder how it is in person. I’ve tried many olive pants as an alternative to black but it always feels very dull and drab (which I guess it is). It seems like the burnished pecan color in Pull-on wide-leg chino pant
Item AY943 which appears really rich in some pics looks like a khaki/tan in others.
It’s been easy for me not to buy though, I can emulate this look with what I already own.
I really like a loose button up over loose and wide leg pants. My uniform when the climate permits is an old ralph lauren classic fit button down over boyfriend jeans, with timeless ballet flats. I also like the look with a cropped wide leg pant and sandal. I just prefer a button down to tee shirts, in general. Can't say I like the AY943 pant at all though, the waistband doesn't seem well done.
ReplyDeleteI don’t trust that those pants would fit very well from my experience, just thinking more about that color. I also prefer a button down to tshirts in hot weather.
DeleteGoing through my clothes I’m definitely realizing I prefer the feel of a breezy cotton or linen shirt over the cotton/elastane. Same with pants especially in warmer weather.
I've two JCrew button ups from two/three years ago that are my perfect summer tops. They are oversize (I have a S and an XS and both fit), a cotton/linen blend, button up, with two front pockets. One is indigo-dyed and the other railroad stripe. They are not cropped, and the tail runs a little long. Love these shirts loose over shorts when it's hot. Never thought to wear with wide-leg pants, but I'll have to give it a try.
DeleteOh, they are also short sleeve, with a little cuff.
DeleteI have a linen one like that but it’s a popover. I had an indigo one that was super lightweight (same shape though) but sold it because I never wear that solid blue. It’s perfect for a front tuck. My only problem with the linen is the sleeve cuff needs to be steamed but otherwise I love it.
DeleteI stumbled across some new colors in the cashmere wrap- I must have missed when the new roll out happened- pink and navy! If you haven't tried the JCrew wraps, they are awesome! So happy to see these two new colors- they will be mine! ;)
