  1. I have three items from the "fire sale" out for delivery via UPS, a day early. The quilted regency blazer, the sophie plaid blazer, and the gray chateau parka. Looking to love all three, and still in disbelief the coat shipped. My coat size can vary, and I hope the smaller of my sizes that I ordered will fit.

Does anyone else having shipping movement?

    1. Just the sweater blazer. Due in tomorrow but who knows. Report back on your delivery.

    2. You know I will!

What size did you order? I ordered XS. Hoping the sleeves are not up to my elbows.

    3. Small. Better for layering over my cashmere mocknecks/turtlenecks. I already assume the sleeves will be short.

  2. Hi, Cheritheberry. That's great! I ordered 4 coats and the Sophie glen plaid blazer. So far 2 coats and the Sophie blazer have shipped. I had to compromise on the sizing of the coats which may mean they are destined for donation to some lucky person but I'm hopeful that they will work out. A more disciplined shopper would have walked away, but I could not say no to $12.99 US wool winter coats that might work, when I think that these coats retail for over $400 Canadian on the Canadian website. It sounds very weak, but I was hard pressed not to order more coats at these prices.

    1. I also ordered 4 coats! Today I am wearing a size 0 crew coat, but usually size up from my normal 2 to a 4, so who knows how they will all work out. I honestly didn't think they would all ship. A woman's gotta do what a woman's gotta do. Please keep us posted on what works out for you.

    2. @Cheri I think we are similar sizes so if you bought any 0s or 2s that don't work out let me know. I missed the coats and wanted a Chateau parka!

  3. The coats were a wonderful deal! I didn’t even look at them because I know they would just end up in a storage bin. Everything on my order shipped for Saturday delivery. Nothing particularly exciting. Another pair of foundry pants and some vintage straight cords for next winter.

What I really need right now is a huge umbrella. We are having extremely heavy rain this week. I had an unproductive trip to the grocery store about an hour ago. I pulled into the parking lot, realized there was no way I could avoid getting soaked walking from the parking lot to the store, then turned around and went back home. The streets are flooded and my yard looks like a lake. I really hope no water comes in my house. I’ve done a lot to improve the drainage since I bought this house in late 2019, but it still needs more work. Do not want water intrusion!

    1. Stylebee (Lee) just posted something recently about a curated rain wardrobe which I thought was smart. I admit I change my outfits when it’s raining based on appropriate footwear, but it really does make miserable weather more tolerable when you have the right gear.

    2. Thanks, Suz. A rain capsule is a wonderful idea.

    1. I get error messages most of the time. It’s so buggy!

    2. Happens to me all the time. Or my posts don't go through at all, which is when I appear MIA for the month but am still reading.

    3. Yes, copy your text before you hit publish. That way when it errors out you can try again, which often works.

  6. The only movement I have from my two orders of 5 items is the pair of NB Comp100s, which is due Saturday. I hope that I don't get individual shipments for each item.

  7. My cashmere dress and wrap shipped today. I was getting worried after others had shipments/cancellations. Due in on Tuesday, but we’ll see.

  9. Hi all, I been little off the grid after my vacation to Aruba and super busy upon return! But I been following all your posts! Aruba was good. Beautiful and sunny and warm!
I under estimated my New Yorker covid paranoia and had a small meltdown 1st day at breakfast buffet after I saw some one licking their fingers end picking up shared utensils. Ughh humans lol. Hotel was low occupancy so pleanty space at beach and pool! Dining was indoor or outdoor so we did out side as my preference. They check temp before any restaurant entry! I was given my own utensils so I would not share with crowd! I did not know but Aruba has 10pm curfew and 9pm last meal! So I was glad we did all inclusive and the kids were eating all the time! Covid rapid was done at hotel so that was easy! Overall great time and I have much more bravery to travel now!!!

I also bought 4 items: black chateau parka Sz 0, cashmere turtleneck, and 2 summer button down in stripe and cap toe booties for $6.99. All shipped! I missed cashmere wrap, so upset. I did but it during 60 off for $30+, but this kinda price got me.... not much restock I guess so perhaps it’s good!!! Lol

  10. @Kate, glad you had a great time. I was the same way during my VACA last August...a little meltdown the first 2 days after seeing others doing a complete 180, of what I was used to!
