This is the weekly "Looking to VENT with J.Crew" post, a place to share our not-so-stellar experiences with J.Crew.
If
you have recently experienced a
frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe
you might be willing to share that
information with us in this post.
Please
feel free to share your story on almost
any topic— including poor experiences with
purchases & orders, promotions/ offers,
in-store visits, transactions with store
associates, etc.
I’ll start things off today. My vent: pricing games. Every time something I am interested in pops back and is available, it is excluded from the promo. We all know how to play these games so we wait!
ReplyDeleteand wait. and wait.
Deletei needed to replace a sweater (just a gray one) but i got a pop back in the sale section... but it literally came with no tags. the ones on the back of the neck that say j.crew and the size.
ReplyDeleteI have also received very used items! Pink cashmere sweater that was pilled and smelled like BO. 😂
DeleteBoots that were ripped... few things!!!
Lost packages in mail is another gripe
Cancelations and then a pop back next day
Jcrew is a lot of work, but I keep playing 🤣
I did reorder the liberty romper today with my cancelled price and they added 20% cardlove which i applied it cart! $25 hope it ships
I did order 3 cashmere sweaters( bad bad me, I have a shelf of them).
2 sweaters were price adjustment form a lost package in early January
1. Short-sleeve cashmere T-shirt in floral, Item AU202. Love it! Supper cute and good quality! Can’t wait to wear it! $26
2. Cashmere crewneck sweater with bow stripes
Item AT821. Took the Muslim charcoal color. Like it a lot! Took a small as I do usually in crewnecks, it’s little looser then their reg cashmere crew neck, but I like it. $26
3. Cashmere crewneck sweater Item K1313 in HTHR LEMON. Waiting for it to ship! I love that color! I have another pale yellow form 2 yrs ago that I love! $34. Hope it ships!
I posted before love the Cashmere boyfriend cardigan sweater with flower buds. AS274. It was pricey even on sale $65. But they have not come back at all.
Great cashmere finds Kate! I can vouch for your statement on the boyfriend flower bud cardigan not popping back because I have been watching for it!
DeleteToday should be a huge deal with JCrew finally shipping to Canada, but ..... it's not. Nice that they are offering 30% off many items, but the prices are way too stinking high. 1984 rugby shirt in indigo stripe
ReplyDeleteItem AU871 is $173.50 CDN. Yes I can get 30% off that, but seriously way over priced. For that price I can buy a Polo Ralph Lauren one in a choice of regular fit or slim and it's far regular price is less than the JCrew one with the promo.
I actually looked hard to find something to buy since it's been so long, but based on the current prices it'll be even longer before I buy from them.
At $118US I'm not buying my hubs one either! That said it does look like a nice shirt.
DeleteYes, and after waiting soooo long for shipping to return to Canada, you would think they would have a better promotion than that. Most of the items I would like are not eligible and the others are upwards of 150-200 dollars with the 30% off applied. Thanks, but no thanks....
DeleteI was so happy to see they’re back but agree that prices are too high. I guess 30% is something because we weren’t getting any promos for a long time. Shipping is still $14. I don’t see how this is a better experience for us as they kept saying.
DeleteAny thoughts on Wool-cashmere poncho. Item AW423. Decent price... although seem thin... and not all cashmere? Has anyone seen it or own it? Thanks 😊
ReplyDeleteFrustrated with the "vintage tee" that I bought (L2225). After washing, neck binding folds and twists and won't lay flat, looks TERRIBLE. Will have to go in my pajama drawer. I was folding laundry today and I noticed the cheap tees my teenage son has from Target look GREAT at the neck binding after tons of washes and dryer time ( and I never put my JC tees in the dryer, heaven forbid). This is a basic t shirt thing I would expect J Crew to get it right, *eye roll*.
