Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. I just went to do my returns, in case the malls end up closing...
My husband drove and was waiting in the car, so I couldn't look at new arrivals or sale for more than a few minutes. Did like the bright colors I noticed.

OT, but my office is closed and I'm working from home for at least 2 weeks. One of the fitness instructors who came in to teach a yoga class tested positive.

    1. Oh crap! That’s crazy. Sending love. I’m sure we will hear many more similar stories.

    2. Yes, it will get a good bit worse before it gets better.

Glad I made my returns, I guessed the shutdowns would come this week. I'm sure the return deadlines will all get waived for anyone who didn't make it in time. It's not business as usual anywhere now.

  2. I was placed under quarantine this weekend due to an exposure last week so no store visits for me. However, I’m excited for new arrivals I think tomorrow. I’ve been on a shopping diet since before Christmas but I think online window shopping will probably help me cope with this uncertain time. Stay safe and be well everyone! I hope everyone checks in here from time to time - this community is such a refuge for me and I hope others too!

    1. I'll keep up for sure, now that I'm working from home I will have a little extra time & freedom. Hoping you pass through your quarantine with nothing more than boredom. I read someplace about new arrivals tomorrow as well.
Plan to use some of my downtime in a wardrobe clean up/clear out. Good time to hand wash all my sweaters.

    2. I’m feeling just fine. Hopefully I don’t contract it and now that we are locked in the house for the next month or 2, we’ll avoid it altogether. Thank you :)

  3. What happens if you miss the 30 day return window? I can still return but store credit?

    1. I'm seeing on IG under the JC post about store closings that SAs were waiving the 30 day window for people who had been quarantined due to travel. I agree that most if not all businesses are making exceptions to their policies because business is far from usual right now. No one has any idea what the world will look like tomorrow, let along 30 days from now.

(I saw this as I have a pending $300 order to ship and hoping that shipping gets delayed so the 30 day window also delays)

    2. I think my order is delayed as well. I almost wish I could cancel it. Who needs the extra aggravation right now.

    3. My orders from 3-13,14 haven’t shipped and I actually feel stupid about them. Of course there are things I like and will keep but with everything going on it seems frivolous.

    4. Fashion is generally frivolous. But a little gaiety and frivolity can be quite helpful in gloomy times. I made my husband turn of the news and watch Frozen last night :-)

    5. On their FB post about it I saw they were waiving the return fee for some folks to be able to send stuff back instead

    6. Of course it is! I might get dressed or at least try some clothes on today. 😆

  4. I'm working from home for next few days at least and I'm already getting cabin fever. (First world problems, going to stop myself now)
@liztriden - sorry to hear about your quarantine and hope it turns out to be just a necessary precaution. I'm in NYC and we've been told to assume we all have it and just stay the eff home. So I'm kinda on quarantine too.

I'm going through the sale section again and just noticed that smocked waist dress in botanical bees (AL210) has a description that says it has bracelet sleeves. The photos clearly show a SLEEVELESS dress. Bracelet sleeves means 3/4 quarter sleeves, correct?? Just want to make sure I'm not going mad.

I really hope JC waives return fees and/or extend the return windows by at least 30 days.

I have a flight to Portugal in less than a month and am nervously watching the conditions here get worse. I'm unaffected by the current Europe travel ban but I have a feeling that in 30 days, the US will be the country that everyone else shuts out due to being the new epicenter.

  5. I'm also working from home for likely the next several weeks (time undetermined). We had an employee test positive that works in my building - they self quarantined after traveling and haven't been to work since but that clearly expedited the directive to put our buildings on "density reduction." So while I won't be getting dressed for work (or much else for that matter) I will still be happy to check in and keep a sense of community during what is going to be a somewhat isolating time.

I got a little emotional this afternoon reading all of the Facebook posts from local restaurants and businesses having to (hopefully temporarily) shut their doors during this time and while necessary, my heart breaks for them. If I am doing any shopping during this time it will be dollars towards my local shops and restaurants. I will still window shop at J.Crew though. I do hope they will be lenient with return policies, I don't see how they couldn't be. Or maybe even allowing free mail returns if they end up having to close stores like some others have done. Stay healthy JCAs <3

    1. Same. The owner of my small hair salon posted a letter and video where she said they’re closing until the end of April and was in tears. I have an appt in two weeks that I made in December. I feel terrible. I may buy gift cards just to help with cash flow.

  7. Not sure about everywhere else but the NY, NJ, CT area is basically shut down as of 8pm tonight. Gyms, salons, etc closed. Restaurants take out and delivery only. My dr even canceled my physical and told me to reschedule in 60 days.

Sending love and wishes for good health to all and please keep updating.

  8. I went to the store Saturday to pick up an order. I often ship to my store to discourage those thieving porch pirates. I received an email today saying the Jcrew stores were closing effective immediately and another 5 minutes later that another order had arrived at the store and was ready for pickup. You gotta laugh!
