"Looking to VENT" with J.Crew

This is the weekly "Looking to VENT with J.Crew" post, a place to share our not-so-stellar experiences with J.Crew.

If you have recently experienced a frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including poor experiences with purchases & orders, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  1. I noticed JC has extended the return window to 60 days for orders placed after March 1, though I wish they would waive the $7.50 fee. Anthropologie has extended to over 60 days and waived shipping fee.
I normally return in store and I know many have had problems shipping back multiple items with one label. Any tips?

    1. There's a poster here who said she would put a big red sign on top . Maybe: STOP! MULTIPLE ORDERS (##) ENCLOSED !
But I expect they'd take returns for a couple weeks after the stores reopen if you can wait...

    2. You might also be able to put both in and retain copies of what was sent back so if you only see one appear you can contact their helpdesk to tell them you were only credited for one. I've also heard you need to do the return process for each order and have each order's information in the box.

I also wish they would waive the return fee for this period -- I have my eye on a few things I'd try but not sure I want to be stuck with them if they don't work!

    1. Wow, article states employee tested positve and there's additional testing with CDC. This is likely to happen at other facilities too. Amazon is actually hiring 100K warehouse employees. Not sure how they're ensuring employee safety.

    2. I don’t think anyone can ensure safety from coronavirus. You can only do so much at work but If the employee isn’t stringent outside of work or lives with someone who isn’t stringent, then that’s not the employer’s fault. This is why it’s important that everyone is just as cautious because one person who isn’t diligent cancels out everyone else’s carefulness.

    3. Wow, what a disaster. I guess it’s bound to happen all over. I’d imagine there are infectious disease specialists who could set guidelines. I’ve seen help wanted posts for warehouse jobs locally as well.
      These are scary times.

    4. I saw this the other day, too. I think this means that orders are going to be super slow and so I won't be placing any. Nowhere to wear anything to, anyway!

    1. It works for me, but only if I add it after I get to the payment page.
