"Looking to VENT" with J.Crew

This is the weekly "Looking to VENT with J.Crew" post, a place to share our not-so-stellar experiences with J.Crew.

If you have recently experienced a frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including poor experiences with purchases & orders, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  1. the lack of promos for Canada has me looking/browsing elsewhere.
Zara and Joe Fresh have my style of clothing for alot less. I know the quality of these retailers have some of us questioning ..to buy or not to buy. but I am having the same thoughts regarding J Crew's past 2 or more years of using cheaper fabrics....just my thoughts. but the above two retailers definitely have some J Crew similar pieces...

  3. Visited my store today. Spring stuff out. No extra percentage off in sale section. Nordic boots marked $151.99. Sale section was neat but nothing of interest, especially when it’s almost March.

I was not inspired to try anything on. I liked the cut of the red pleated pants but they’re all poly and look stiff and shiny. Def some vibrant colors if that’s your thing. Some pretty scarves.

    4. When I first joined Posh and began listing, I got a few comments that were clearly just bots asking things like "would you take $$ for this" so I blocked them from doing the same on my other listings.

    5. I did ask for size measurements and if she knew what year it was, made one offer, and was blocked after....

    6. That’s too bad. I really try to understand when you answer questions it helps make happy buyers. Selling can be time consuming. I guess some people think it should be more simple and can’t be bothered.

  5. I finally bought the Kiki flats in red when they were 40% off. When I opened the box the shoes were thrown in there, none of the packaging usually in the shoes, the card which states if you wear the shoes you can’t return them missing & they looked like they had been worn. The address looked like they were shipped from the warehouse but where is the quality control! Also, they were too big so not tts for me.
