This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.
So
if you have recently purchased,
or stopped by a J.Crew store to try
on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you
might be willing to share that
information with us in this post.
Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.
In
particular, if you could
mention a few of the noteworthy
details like fit, size, fabric, and the
like— that would be fantastic! Thanks
in advance! :)
Had to use my $25 off $25 coupon before it expired so I bought a Perfect Tee in bright cerise...that was all I could find in the weekend sale section. Anyway, it goes perfect with my f/l cotton pants that I bought (and never wore) from 3 years ago. Thanks JC for not changing your colorwheel in the last few years.
ReplyDeleteJust a question for the JCA community, do you think the implementation of AfterPay will change JC's sales/promos? The last promo was ok (at least it wasn't final sale) but I wondered if the new service had any impact on sales, especially the coats that I thought were too high even on sale. I've used it before (not at JC) and understand how it works as an alternative means of purchase so I am just curious.
ReplyDeleteIt’s not even on my radar but my initial thought is that with so many issues with debt is that something responsible to push? Is it a matter of convenience like a credit card or a way to buy something one can’t otherwise afford, like a mortgage?
DeleteI mean seeing the numbers broken down makes everything seem reasonable. I just don’t think I like the concept.
I agree. It's a recipe for a major debt issue. Credit cards can be bad enough.
DeleteFor some, I am sure it may not be ideal for some if you are not managing it or keeping track of payments, life happens to us all, but it worked OK for me the few times I used it. I just wonder if JC looked at it as an opportunity for the customer to buy more using the service as a way to clear out much of the leftover stock. There are always conversations and comments about popbacks, missing out on a sizes during a sale, not offering a "good" sale/promo, etc. I call it consumer-purchase psychology at play: a way to buy it when you see it on a short term, no interest basis... More millennial-type stores are offering it (Nordstrom even offered it on some items during the holidays). Just wondered what made JC jump on the bandwagon and if lagging sales played a role.
DeleteThere are some hints at the upcoming rollout on the site this morning even if most of them aren’t items with pages yet. There are a handful of new cashmere sweaters, but if you sleuth you can also see 2 new prints (a bright primary-colors Liberty, and a warmer-toned paste plaid) for now only in shoes but promised in more items in the product descriptions- I saw a plaid button-down on one of the models for the new wide-leg pant. There’a also a bubblegum pink gingham A-line skirt with waterfall ruffle down one side. What else have you all spotted?
ReplyDeleteType in a search for ruffle shirt and a lot of things that look new to me show up. Spring 2020 may be the year of the ruffle!
DeleteI thought we’ve been through the ruffle already.
DeleteNot that I mind...it will give me the opportunity to continue wearing my ruffled tuxedo shirts.
Deletei do not understand the linen ruffle back tee. or the ruffle trim pleated peplum top. however this makes me glad i recently found my old Margot silk tops.
DeleteThere’s a lot I don’t understand. I’ve even bought and regretted some. I’m trying to be better about that.
