  1. Hard to say if I should vent or love: $35 in rewards vanished, but then $100 showed up. I decided I'd best re-order something I knew I wanted and then return the original. So I re-ordered the denim jumpsuit. I also ordered the Pull-on flare sweater skirt in textured stripe (white with black stripes) to wear this fall with a black top. This skirt is quite heavy with a full flare. I really like it, but it might overwhelm a petite. And a pair of black wool pants for my husband, who had been asking for black pants - these stopped showing up in searches, but linked from my wish list found them both marked down + extra 60 off. I now have a 'negative' points balance with 300 points to next reward (but that's due to returns?).

Now for my actual love: Finally wore my extravagant collection hand-beaded mini skirt out to dinner. It worked out great, my husband liked it a lot. K4498. I sized up two sizes to a 6 to get a fit like the model photo.

    1. That beaded skirt is so pretty! Were you nervous wearing it? I’d be so afraid of catching it on something or crushing the beads if I sat down.

    2. Oh man...I googled the style number without putting J. Crew in front of it and the result was hilarious, so thank you for a laugh!

      And the skirt is pretty!

    3. @shopgrrl - No, it's not that fragile. You do get a bag of extra beads and sequins though. It's also surprisingly heavy.

@Alyssa - I'm afraid to do that, but terribly curious!

I had it wishlisted and then one day there was an extra 70% off sale AND I had another 15% off that...

  2. Received Collection suede wrap dress in coral. Quality is exactly what you’d expect from Collection. Beautiful shade of pink and fit is tts. Ordered during 60% off sale and looking forward to being able to wear for fall.

    1. Such a graceful style, what shoes will you wear?

    2. Agree with you! I have pink suede wrap around block heels (oldies) that I'm planning to pair. Could also see wearing leopard calf hair slingback flats too. Now it just needs to cool off, but that won't happen for a while.

  3. I tried on the Frankie pant today. I was pleasantly surprised after reading several negative reviews. I was able to get the smaller of my two sizes on, but my usual 0 fits better as long as they don’t stretch way too much. Hard to tell with the fabric, usually i find this thinner cotton/poly stretches quite a bit. I could also try a size up but they might be less flattering.
I really liked the high rise and wide leg. I felt very chic in them with red Seavees and a white button down.
The material is very casual. I liked it but aside from the cut they’re not dressier than chinos. It’s great for warmer weather when you want to look polished and not wear jeans. I have the lightweight wide leg chinos from Everlane, which aside from being slightly cropped are a similar fabric. Prob don’t need both.

The length. At 5’6” these could only be worn with flats. But that said, they looked good with sneakers and I could see wearing them with flat sandals. I didn’t feel squat without the lift of a heel. Sometimes wide leg pants need a heel.

    I’ll consider these on sale.

  4. I wore my Bright Cerise stretch perfect shirt for work today. Although I was initially apprehensive of the colour intensity when I bought it in the spring (I believe I called it a "tour guide shirt" in my review), it’s really grown on me. The Bright Cerise, though oddly named, is really versatile and pairs well with many different colours.

    2. I'm curious what color bottom you are styling it with. I returned mine...

    3. So far I’ve worn it with navy, cream, brown, and denim. I think it would also work with green or tan khakis.

    4. Funny you mention this. I’m seeing a lot of bright red with shades of brown, like a warm nutmeg or that deep tan. The combo mostly reminds me of the seventies.
Speaking of brown though, I feel like it’s a color that has fallen out of favor in the past few years but I’m definitely more shades of brown this fall than I’ve seen in ages.
