This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.
So
if you have recently purchased,
or stopped by a J.Crew store to try
on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you
might be willing to share that
information with us in this post.
Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.
In
particular, if you could
mention a few of the noteworthy
details like fit, size, fabric, and the
like— that would be fantastic! Thanks
in advance! :)
New arrivals up today though it’s a very small rollout. And it’s such a mess. I’ve been trying to remain positive but there is just no cohesion or direction that makes any sense. Loft has more direction than the crew right now. Makes sense since they are between designer rollouts but man. Absolutely nothing I want. I like the tiger collection silk top but haven’t worn the cheetah one yet so not buying another one. I’m still pulling for ya crew!
ReplyDelete+1 What a hodgepodge, nothing to make me even stop scrolling. Okay, I did stop at the Ornate Jungle Print top, but kept right on going when I saw viscose. Didn’t feel even slightly inspired by what I saw today.
DeleteCard perks works with the HIFALL promo...if you can find anything you want.
ReplyDeleteI posted a negative review yesterday about the high neck tunic dress in lightweight cotton. It’s in the “did you visit this weekend” thread.
Not surprised at that outcome, still sorry the material was not nice. You may have liked the tie waist version better...M0599.
DeleteI did find a shirt for my husband, he's given up on his $$$ custom shirts for Ludlow slim-fit clearance.
I considered that version of the dress but I have separates that basically look the same so it didn’t make sense.
DeleteHi Liz - I agree with you. Is this rollout Johanna Uurasjärvi's work? I can't remember which seasons were going to be attributed to her. It must be weird to be in a position like Chris Benz where you're technically the face of women's design, but haven't designed any of the clothes that are currently for sale.
ReplyDeleteNo must-haves for me (I admit, I got bored halfway through scrolling the new arrivals). Is all of their cashmere "everyday" now?
Zzzzzzz .... new arrivals are a bit of a snooze. A few nice looking sweaters for us guys, but merino/nylon blends at that price plus the costly shipping. Pass.
ReplyDelete+1 on the snoozefest/lack of direction. Anything I'm looking at are basics/neutral pieces but I'm missing the pretty prints and classics with a twist. I am also a little annoyed that the only pieces I'm liking are the collab pieces which of course aren't eligible for any promotions. Why can't J.Crew make their own cute puff sleeve sweater or bobble sweater? Yes, trendy but they could do it in their own way.
ReplyDeleteI might get the new 10" button fly jeans but that's it for now.
I'm styling the Boyfriend Blazer in Houndstooth Plaid, ruffled neck sweater, and satin headband on the blog today. I found the blazer to run a little big, so I sized down one size. It's nicely made. The ruffle neck sweater is also a hit. It's TTS.

Partial to Pink
I'm interested in the new leopard Tippi (pink & brown) and the charcoal straight leg jeans. Would've liked the velvet tuxedo stripe jeans if the velvet was black instead of burgundy. The jewelry and coats are not doing anything for me. Agree that there is not a lot to love right now. Saving my money and hoping the holiday rollouts hold more promise.
ReplyDeleteMore of an observation, not a review...does anyone else think of Fozzie Bear when they look at the Teddy Sherpa Topcoat in Warm Brandy? That is immediately what I thought of the first time I saw it. Haha.
ReplyDeleteAlways.
DeleteYES!! It's Fozzie Bear all the way.
