This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

The Point-sur tailored indigo jumpsuit is included in the 60% off sale. It's nicer than expected, and a good fit for my hourglass figure. The pants portion is not too large for me (often an issue with jumpsuits). I took my 'usual' dress size 4. It works with a layer underneath (I tried it with a tissue turtleneck) which will extend it into Fall. The fabric is not heavy like denim, but substantial enough for cooler weather. I have a 4 Tall coming as well, so I have not worn until I get to try the second size. I like the idea of a longer leg so I could wear it with booties.
ReplyDeleteI stopped in to the store on Saturday and did a quick try on session for the first time in months. I barely visited my store over the summer except for in/out returns. I tried on the dutch floral dress/blouse, leopard toothpick jeans, Liberty tie neck top, green midi skirt (the satin looking one), swiss dot top, chiffon dot top, better silk button down and a few other items.

I also picked up a few items with the sale yesterday - 10" black jeans and hoop earring set (40% off) as well as the ivory point sur pointelle sweater and black ribbed knit dress. I need to lay off the black dresses - I think I've bought four in the last month. :D

Deleteooops! Well, it isn't final sale. The waist is fitted, which works on my figure better than many jumpsuits.
DeleteThat's what intrigued me about the jumpsuit. I like the option to cinch the waist. If I can take it through fall, I'd be all for it. I ordered this morning so I will report back!

DeleteI don’t love much in this roll out but really like that short sleeve silk top on you and have crinkle chiffon top in solid black is wish listed. I bought that puffy sleeve short sleeve in polka dot and don’t wear it so I know I don’t need more polka dots as much as I appreciate them on others. Still hoping the pleated skirt is available in black because I think it would be a nice addition to my dress up wardrobe.
I did not visit this weekend but have been perusing the sale section. There seems to be items that are hidden. I bookmark items to stalk and this morning found the Drake’s pajama top and matching pant in horseback rider green and a pair of glitter with embellishment maryjanes. I’m not sure if they will ship but worth a try & not final sale. These pieces are not searchable by item number or name. If you don’t have them bookmarked, google search and then click on the item and some sizes come up. I found pieces from years ago. A pair of suede Sloan’s were sadly not my size. Happy hunting!

DeleteI’ve noticed this before and it is kind of odd (and random). I was at the car dealership for a couple of hours today so I went through some of my bookmarked pages. I noticed their is a pair of the Collection Leather Ryder Pant in a size 12 (C1156). They are $250 (originally $650) before the 60% off.

DeleteJust for fun I looked up the Ryder pants. They’re listed for $956 Canadian. Nine HUNDRED fifty six. Clearly it won’t be a Canadian JCA snapping those up!
DeletePicked up the Ruffle-front top in satin crepe last week in a couple of colors. Impressed with the quality and found it ran TTS. Would recommend it.
