J.Crew Sale Got Better: Over 150 New Gift Ideas

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know the following news from this morning.

J.Crew has a nice update to their Sale (click here to shop online) section online this morning. J.Crew also sent out an email letting us know that 150 new styles were added to the sale section. Plus, a lot of items got an additional markdown on the base sale price. Yey!

Don't forget that J.Crew is offering customers (1) an extra 30% off select full priced styles as well as (2) an extra 40% off sale priced items with promo code JINGLE.  The offer expires December 18, 2014.

Did you check out the Sale section today? Were you able to snag any amazing deals? If so, please share! :)

  1. Just got a code for an extra 10% off my purchase. Can be stacked with the current promo. Pretty awesome! Maybe I'll bite on a few things I've been on the fence about.

  2. I won't be using my code:

  3. I also got the code for an extra 10% off; picked up two pairs of the vintage Nike racers and a sweater. Not too shabby of a deal!

  4. I got the 10% promo and can't decide if I should bite or wait and see how good the prices get next week. Argh!!

  5. I received the code the morning too. Of course I just placed an order last night. Emailed for a price adjustment as there is nothing else I want at this time. Hopefully there is not an issue getting it. Fingers crossed!

  6. Also got mine and placed a small order, including the stripe oversized turtleneck.

  7. Snagged the last pair of the Nike Montreal racers in Navy Mint in my size. Fingers crossed my order isn't cancelled!!!

    1. I have the waffle racers in red, and they are seriously the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned. I've had the Montreal racers on my wishlist for-eva, but I never pulled the trigger -- because I have the red once, and since I'm not an actual track star, how many pairs of racing flats do I really need? -- buuuuut, they are $32 with all the discounts, so I went for it. I also got some gifts for the man in my life and some baby stuff for the baby in my life ;).

  10. Good morning! If you're not going to use the 10% code, could you please to ohjoymorelaundry at gmail dot com?

PS: do you think the Point Sur x rocker jeans in manfred wash (what kind of description name is that anyway?) are worth $78?

    Thank you!

On a side note, I think my email is having a personality disorder. The email this morning from J Crew opens up to a Madewell ad and the one from Madewell opens up to the above J Crew ad. Neither had a 10% code. Thank you.

  11. I didn't see much difference in the sale section this morning (new items, extra markdowns, etc.?). What did I miss? I got the coupon and will wait for the morning to see what else pops up.

  12. OT -- if you use rewards card on a purchase and return the item, do they give you the rewards back? somehow?

    1. I think they just credit the full amount inclusive of rewards back to your J crew credit card but wait for someone else to confirm.

    2. @Julie Taylor when I've returned items that I've used rewards on, in my experience they credit whatever the supplemental payment was...so I've had cards other than my JC card credited.

    3. I've received my Rewards card back in the form of a regular gift card that has no expiration date.

    4. thanks so much everyone, that is a relief!

  13. For those that bought the Nike Montreals- did you purchase your regular shoe size? No chance to try them on in store and I know I would be wearing them sock-less so thinking I should just go regular size.

    1. I went up a half size... the "overall" review thingy said "runs small" and width skews toward narrow with that type of sneaker. But I'd def. order my usual size if I wasn't planning to wear socks. Those sneakers where a great deal, can't wait to try them!

  14. I bought two pairs yesterday for my daughters - I bought their regular size. Nike is pretty consistent. But they're not final sale...

  15. IRL pic of the Wool Pointelle Cable Sweater in snow. The description said oversized fit so I sized down to an XS. It's too short and boxy. I think an S would be even wider.

    1. I don't think it looks too short!

    2. I think it's a pretty sweater and agree with cate, it doesn't look too short. I've been very tempted to buy it in the snow.

    3. I bought it in snow too and have worn it a few times, as an FYI there was a lot of pilling after a couple of wears but with a super sale it's probably worth it. You can take the money you save and invest in a good sweater shaver
      :-)

  16. For those interested, the cable knit side zip sweater that I reviewed here: http://instagram.com/p/vUJ93Sx56c/?modal=true is currently on sale marked $159.99 in store plus eligible for the additional 40% off. HTH!
