This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopping
by a J.Crew store this weekend to see
what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in
person, maybe you might be
willing to share that with us in this
post. In particular, if you could
share with us a few of the
noteworthy items that are available, at
what prices, and potential sizes
the store is carrying (as well
as the store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also,
please let us know if your local store is
carrying an additional percent
off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S.
I noticed that many of
you have already been reporting sale
items (and in which stores) in
other posts which by the way "thank
you!" :) I really appreciate how
helpful we are for each other!
Very likely going, since I will be downtown with friends this weekend.
ReplyDeleteReview of a few new items here.
There's a pair of serengeti Juliets on Ebay, size 8, NWOB, starting at $19.99. Auction ends in 5 hrs. Not mine. Just sharing the deal.
ReplyDeleteIt's Good Man Friday. George tries on a popover. (lol)
ReplyDeleteI left a question for George and when he answer you could maybe report it here for public interest.
DeleteQuestion is: do straight men really do popovers?
I'm done with browsing the Sale section, never thought that would happen. 32 items per page takes too long. It's a deal breaker. If there is ever anything I really want, I'll check on it by bookmark. This web site "improvement" is going to save me a lot of money. I went through two pages of Sale this morning and quit. It was slow loading images, at 32 per page, at the not very busy time of 5:30am, so I'm not sure what this 32 per page even helped. It was faster before when I could see 90 at once.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. My screen feels very cluttered as well.
DeleteThey must have done some market testing - for which customer is this a better format?
I don't see why they don't add a "see all" option like they have for viewing new arrivals. And viewing on a phone is a total disaster -- it takes forever (at least on my phone) to flip to the next page.
DeleteAgreed!! It's ridiculous that they changed it this way. Very annoying and yes, I've passed on looking at sale b/c it's so poorly laid out.
DeleteI agree! It takes too long to scroll through the sale merchandise. I too wish they'd at least add a "view All" option as well. I usually look every morning but I've given up lately.
DeleteLol! I agree! I thought it was just because im using ipad. A lot of other retailers are upgrading their websites to this super slow annoying layout. Whats wrong w the old fashioned see all layout they had before? It's like upgraded at the same time too, so messed up.
DeleteAgree with cate, it's a real deterrent. Do they not want to move this stuff? Shopping at JC is not for the faint of heart.
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree with Cate. Not even tempted to scroll through the sale section any more.
ReplyDeleteI have given up as well. Why would they think these changes are improvements ? If they think I will just get used to it...well sorry I won't visit the sale pages like I did before...Just sayiong J Crew sometimes things need to be left alone.
DeleteTotally agree too!
DeleteIt is a pain to go through the sale section.
Boo Jcrew,that is inot improvement!!
Totally agree, what a horror show of a website. Has anyone got the Next to work? After tapping it multiple times on different pages on my iPad and nothing happening i gave up.
DeleteJRSConifer, I use a laptop and I haven't had any problems with the Next or Prev working. It's just slow to load and every time it loads a new page that stupid menu bar pops up and gets in the way. I'm seriously done with browsing sale, and no J. Crew that doesn't mean I'm going to spend more on full-price J. Crew. The year is 2014 and there are other sites that make shopping much easier than J. Crew does. It's one thing to not improve their web site (with reviews, for example), but I can't get over that they are taking away functionality. I'll shop elsewhere.
Delete...and why can't you sort through the sale merchandise by item: Shoes, Pants, Shirt & Tops, etc.
DeleteI don't feel like looking through the entire sale merchandise, I only want to see certain items on sale...
JSR,you can sort by item.
DeleteYou have to go to womens and then there is a little tab, that let you go into items.
HTH
JRSConifer I too have had trouble on my iPad with getting the "Next" button to work properly.
DeleteI have to laugh every time they make website "improvements" instead of adding reviews.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone if stores still have 25% off outerwear? I am thinking about getting the Downtown Field jacket in navy. TIA!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen that promotion in the store. I'm not sure how wide-spread it is/was.
DeleteCate this promo has been going on for a little while. Out of case jewelry and a few other random items have also been 25% off. It's been discussed by JCAs so I am assuming it's a company wide promo not just specific stores. It was going on last weekend when I was in store.
DeleteI didn't notice any signage in my store, but I wasn't looking for it either so maybe I missed it. I'm not looking for coats either, another reason I may have missed it. Anyway I hope it's still going on so you can get the jacket at a good price!
Delete312JCgirl, call around to some of the Factory stores. The Park City, UT Factory store has Downtown Field jackets (sometimes called Everett) are IDENTICAL to the retail versions. I snagged green and blue for around $75 each. Also, it's not available online and you should mention to them you want the one without the belt (I think that one comes in dark blue or black).
DeleteThanks Jackie! Yes I actually saw the Factory version in store this week and they were 50% off. I actually think the retail version has a coating on the jacket that the factory version does not so I was hoping to get a retail version. ETA I just called the store and they ARE still running this promo! The SA told me that they should stack the 20% off card holder promo.
DeleteDoes anyone know if the coating is longer lasting? I've washed my moss field jacket at least 4 or 5 times and the coating is gone. Navy jacket still has the coating but it's only a month in.
DeleteThe navy field jackets in the Factory store are the Retail version - I picked one up yesterday and the SA confirmed that it was the retail version as I was checking out - tags are retail. My store had a darker greyish green version as well that was the Factory version.
DeleteA bit off topic, but I received my shipping notice just yesterday and UPS is showing that the package is supposed to be delivered TODAY! Now that's a change!
ReplyDeletethat happened to me as well. it ended up that the item shipped from a nearby store .
DeleteInteresting. I have four items in my shipment some of which I don't recall seeing in stores so I am guessing mine shipped from the warehouse but I will check when I get my package
DeleteAre you in Chicago? (312?), there's a warehouse in Illinois. I live in indiana (formally from Chicago), and I receive my packages literally 48 hours from when I order them.
DeleteI got my catalog and honestly the ONLY things I'm interested in seeing in my store (hopefully THEY will be in my store...you never know with the Crew) is the RMS Beauty products. I've read so much about them. Aside them those, I don't see any clothes, shoes or anything I want. Jeez.
ReplyDeleteSo interesting to me that they are selling RMS - a great brand and I own all three of these items and highly recommend them. But they're available in plenty of places besides J.Crew. The RMS site itself has an occasional promotion.
DeleteOT.....but have the Cece flats been completely phased out for the Emmas? If so I'm really sad because the Cece's were the PERFECT flat for me.....
ReplyDeleteFrom all the discussion I've seen on various J.Crew blogs, the answer is "Yes". Which is a bummer. I bought several pairs of Cece's this fall and winter (on sale, yay!) and love them - good basic colors and some fun ones too, and a nice, sturdy sole. I have not tried any of the Emmas. Reviews from other JCAs on the Emmas appear to be mixed.
DeleteOh darn!! Sigh. :-( Yeah, I was at the store yesterday and looked at the Emmas and they seemed "pointier" than the Ceces..... the Ceces just fit my feet soooo good. I should go and buy whatever Ceces I can find that are left! :-)
DeleteAll the Emmas were $98 in my store today. I agree, the shoes are pointier and in general, I don't like the look, but the bows on the Emma bow flats break up all that toe coverage and IMO are much cuter.
DeleteWithin the store there was confusion about whether this $98 promo price could be stacked with the store wide 20%, with one SA saying yes and one saying no. Since I happened to have the nicer one doing my checkout, I got it applied. Good for me (getting $148 shoes for about $80) but annoying in general...
I have a couple pairs of the Factory Anya suede ballet flats, which (I think) are the factory version of the Cece's. I love my "Anya's!" Super comfy for me (and the nice sturdy sole you mentioned, Jennifer D), and I don't usually find ballet flats comfortable at all. It may be worth trying them if you're missing the Cece's.
DeleteDoes anyone know if stores are doing an additional % off sale?
ReplyDeleteI believe the stores are doing 30% off Final Sale (which is now restocked with lots of January offerings!). I asked about stacking the 20% off since that promo is offered in-store along with the website (because that would be so cool!), and no deal. SA responded that the 20% off was only for full-price items, at least in the store.
DeleteThanks, JenniferD! Too bad they are not stackable, that would be too good to be true :)
DeleteI just went into a store tonight. Sales items were 30% off and they were not stacking the 20% card holder on sales items but they were for promo items.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete312JCgirl: Sorry, can't reply -- saw signs for 25% off outerwear when I visited North Michigan Ave. store on Tuesday afternoon. Who knows if the promo is still going on, though . . . I have that jacket in navy and love it. Totally worth the money.
ReplyDeleteSeconded on its worth! I wear that jacket year round and with everything. So much that I bought two of them. ;)
DeleteThanks Shopalot! I called the MI Ave store earlier and they are still running the promo! I have DT field jacket in the moss color and love it. I hope they bring it back in black as well
DeleteNot this time. I don't think I'll be getting much from this roll-out either unless there's a decent discount with it, as I'm not a cardholder. There's not much I want anyway.
ReplyDeleteI was at Time Warner earlier this morning. The promos are 25% off sweaters (including novelty), 20% off cashmere, 25% off button-downs and popovers, 20% off in-case jewelry and some other random item promo (like Minnies were $69.50). Sale was 30% off. They told me the 20% off cardholders and these promos could stack. The SA was shocked because I only bought a pair of earrings that were on my wishlist since the holidays and can only find in this particular store. They were $40 with promo. I really wanted to buy the merino eyelet chambray sweater but the fit was so off that I sadly had to leave it there (tried 3 sizes and none of them worked, mainly because it is too short and wide at the hem).
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that the sweater is too short on you too. i was afraid my long torso was the problem, but i think its the sweater thats the problem.
DeleteJcrew should take note of this and start making normal sized sweaters:(
These are good deals, and you can stack it with the 20% promo, wow! I wonder if the store promos apply to all of the other J.Crew stores across the US? or only for the NYC stores? And when is the store promos running till?
DeleteWould love to own the Reversible Lightweight Merino Sweater...at 20% promo plus the 25% sweater, nice!
I was your instagram photo of the Eyelet Chambray sweater, Emma. I thought the sweater looked great on you, not too short in the photo. I liked it with that denim wash too.
DeleteHow would you compare it to the Cubist-print Merino sweater? Thanks!
The cubist-print merino sweater is not as short.
Deletemaryeb, they are very different. The panel on the cubist one is that very thin/smooth silk that lays down well and the sweater fits more or less like a Tippi. The eyelet chambray is a double layer of cotton plus chambray so while not stiff it doesn't lay so well. It could be fine but the sweater itself is cut very wide at the bottom (the hem didn't even touch my jeans). It just looked weird. I tried a XXS for comparison and it was considerably narrower (like more than an inch) but also smaller overall and while it still fit it looked like I was wearing crewcuts (plus, really I couldn't raise my hand without exposing everything). It could work for layering but I am not a layer ;-). Hope it helps!
DeleteI posted a pic of the cubist skirt with the cubist sweater. By the way, the colors don't match in the skirt and sweater,.in case someone wanted to try the "hookup"
Thanks so much Ema!
DeleteI saw your pic of the skirt and the sweater together. I'm surprised; there is really quite a difference in color.
I was at the mall today and stopped in....I was the only one in there which is very unusual. The SAs were sitting around talking about how someone had just been in and mentioned that Forever21 has a lot of the same items for much cheaper...whoa. I liked the new arrivals even less in person...everything was very thin and had picks and pulls on them already. Specifically the geometric poly pants and silk maxi were exceptionally thin. The maxi was like a scarf in thickness...crazy thin. My store has stopped carrying shoes which is disappointing,..I wanted to see the watercolor kikis in real life. My husband recently got me the rio sandals which I love...the sizing is a little weird...but the tong is slightly thicker than the Capri flops and the footbed is outlined in gold. I have worn them a lot and like them. He also got me the navy geometric silk scarf...I also really like this piece...I probably would have waited for a sale if I bought it...I think full priced is a bit overpriced but I do really like it
ReplyDeleteHi reaganflowers - I noticed the same thing at my B&M yesterday. Fabrics are extremely thin and I saw pulls on a lot of the items. I tried on a bunch but honestly can't remember much about the pieces... they were that forgettable. I think there's just so much similar stuff elsewhere for cheaper (Loft is looking especially JC-like lately, for example). Combine that with the fact that it's so cold here that it'll be at least another month before I could wear most of the new arrivals (by which point they'll be marked down with another % off) and I left empty-handed.
DeleteDo the people at JC not notice the decline in quality or think we don't notice? I happened to stop in BR and Gap as well since I was killing time before meeting friends for lunch and I noticed a lot of similar items at much lower price points wi much sturdier fabrics and better quality. BR had a lot of jackets, flower button downs and a cubist print similar to JC in different colors...gap had a lot of similar sweaters and pants for significantly less. I don't understand what direction JC is going in.
DeleteThe SA at Time Warner store yesterday made a very rude comment while I was checking out (she said "You yried all that stuff and you only buy this?") and I wanted to tell her that thete are only so many $50 tee shirts that one can buy and that H&M next door sells the same stuff for much less and they should thank me for buying anything at all. I wanted to put some stuff on hold and think about it during lunch since I had my old jeans with me but I just left with the earrings. I also had the lace-stripe tunic but I can't get past the fact that it was 40% off on Monday and 30% off now for the same base price and I won't need it until the summer when it will be much cheaper.
DeleteEma, last time I visited a B&M I was asked (or told!) "You're a sale shopper". I was taken aback and replied, "well, who wouldn't be in this store!". I mean, really! The stuff that was new release three weeks ago is now final sale & additional 40% off, who in the world would pay full price? I'm in Chicago, it is minus 10 windchill and I'm going to pay full price for a sheer linen tee that I won't be able to wear for at least two more months? Yeah. I'm a sale shopper, shame on me?!!
DeleteDitto, shopalot. And it isn't my fault if the only thing I really wanted and would have bought with the promo was such a miss!
DeleteI got a comment along the lines of "You always wait for things to be marked down, don't you?" which was so stupid if you stop and think for a second - and so I replied "Well, yes, that's what capitalism is about, you need a willing seller and a willing buyer." My brilliance went unnoticed, of course. Why do they mark things down if they don't want people to buy them?
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI was able to get the new diamond print ikat shirt with the 25% off promo plus additional 20%, $52.80 before tax. I love this shirt and thought this was a good deal since it was just shipped to my store today. The fabric was very nice, not too lineny...more cotton than linen. I think it will be one of my favorites. The only other thing I want from this roll out is the navy medallion print mini pant but with 20% off, they are still $80.00 as they do not fall under the minnie promo since they are a print and more expensive. BooHoo! So yes, I sought and I found...:)
ReplyDeleteBreaking news: Uniqlo in talks to buy J.Crew.
ReplyDeleteTo clarify, it is Uniqlo's parent company that wants to buy J. Crew. They already own Theory and a few other brands.
Deletewow that would be crazy! the jcrew aesthetic is very popular among asians, i could see the brand doing well if this were to happen
DeleteThe other option for JC's current owners Leonard Green & TPG is to IPO it:
Deletehttp://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-02-25/j-crew-said-to-be-talking-with-banks-about-2014-ipo.html
Aha. And so they are getting rid of elderly &/or otherwise undesirable inventory so the books will be nice and clean when the time comes for due diligence. Another huge sale update this morning, too.
DeleteSlightly OT: it looks as though Madewell's reduced the regular price of their outbound jackets--both the regular and the weather-treated. They now list at $98, which is at least $50 under what they've been selling for. This new price doesn't appear to be sale or promo.
ReplyDeleteReview here of the new stripe knit shift dress. If you already saw the post, I've since added a pic of the size 4.
ReplyDeleteI have other quick try-ons today on my Instagram.
Visited a store on my home tonight (MI Ave in Chicago). SAs were super friendly and helpful (service at that store can be hit or miss given its high traffic location). Got the Downtown Field Jacket in Navy for 25% outerwear off plus 20% cardholder promos (it came to about $88). Great deal for that jacket. Also got Martinas in black suede (on sale in store for $169 plus 30% off. I think they are full price online). I also ordered the Aggie boot in black leather while in store (I have a camel pair from last year, which I love. They are so comfortable). The store didn't have them in my size so the SA called online and they matched the store price ($169) and gave me the 30% off sale in store AND free shipping AND the online customer service gave me the 20% off cardholder even though it's not supposed to stack with sale additional % off (he was very nice about it). Wait, there's more, I also received a shipment today with the Pixie leather tuxedo stripe in black, which I LOVE. They fit TTS (I ordered both my normal size and one size up just in case, and stuck my normal size) and chambray baseball cap (also a love). Also went to a Factory store earlier in the week and got the Optic dot dress, scroll print skirt, skimmer paint in multipstripe and crystal spiral necklace (love it, wore it two days in a row). Phew. I need a Jcrewtervention.
ReplyDeletelol @312JCgirl...JCrewtervention. That's a good one.
ReplyDeleteNew reviews here ! The camo sweatshirt & pleated poplin skirt.
Thanks, Gigi! I am guessing that at least one other JCA has used that term, but if not, I'll add it to the JCA "dictionary".
DeleteNew markdowns on the website, including the swoop dress in lattice medallion print. I'm so confused, didn't the lattice medallion print just come out in the March new arrivals?
ReplyDeleteThere are some more markdowns (well, promos so they will probably bounce back up) on items that came out on Wednesday, like the merino embroidered sweater, embroidered floral tee, and back-zip colorblock sweatshirt.
DeleteI think the Grecian dress is marked down too ($98 to $78).
DeleteLadies - I am a little confused... what are the in-store promotions this weekend and what can be stacked with the 20% off? Or the student discount? Help!! :-)
ReplyDeleteNot sure if they are still going on this weekend, but last night the stores were still running promos on various full price items, including 25% off outerwear and out of case jewelry and other items I can't remember. These promos will stack with the 20% cardholder and I think with the student discount but not sure since I am not a student and never use that discount. Sales items were 30% off but that does NOT stack w cardholder promo. HTH!
DeleteThank you for the info, 312JCgirl... I ended up going and left with absolutely nothing... Nothing on the sale section neither the new arrivals made me open my wallet....
DeleteI hear ya. All of my purchases have been "classic" items that have been around for mutliple seasons. New stuff just isn't drawing me in.
DeleteVisited boston Copley on Thursday. They were having an event for eating disorders. Wanted one of the cookies on the table but refrained because I wasn't part of the event.
ReplyDelete. Lots of new merch but nothing really caught my eye except the pleated pique short in mint green...which ended up looking heinous on me.
I went in to try on the super 120s puff sleeved suiting dress in hydrangea...despite my worries that the armholes looked way too big.
The dress itself is divine but the armholes ruined it for me. You need to have perfect perfect arms for this dress to flatter. You can't even really tailor it. I mentioned this to the sales associate. Her remedy was to throw a cardigan over it. But the whole point of the dress in the ladylike puff sleeved silhouette that I wouldn't want to wear anything over!
Anyway, if you do have perfect arms for this dress, here are my thoughts. I am 5 foot 2 and ruler shaped normally but my chest is now a D instead of a borderline b because I am nursing. I normally take petites but prefer regular sizes in I.crew dresses because their petite fit model must have a really high waist. So I took my normal size in regular and loved the fit and the drape...hit right at my knee and was generally very flattering except for the dang armholes which accentuated back fat and made my arms look awful. My issue is my d cup chest worked fine in the dress but I am not sure what will happen when I deflate back to a b cup after I'm done nursing. There's no way I'll fill this thing out as a b cup and because the neckline is high there may be a lot of extra fabric in the bodice.
So...it seems like this dress will work nicely for someone with a bit of a chest and perfect arms. I hope it's still around when I am done nursing in three months but I'm not optimistic.
Used my rewards card on the botanical bird print skirt from factory, which, to my surprise, was in stock in my size. Even paid the five dollar shipping.
An event for eating disorders offering cookies? This just struck me as odd. I also got the botanical print factory skirt and despite no lining, really like it.
DeleteYeah, I wouldn't have known except the sales associate apologized for it being crazy because of the eating disorder event. I was wondering why she was so excited about it.
DeleteOne more thing...when I was trying on the dress I asked the sales associate for a pair of shoes to Ray it on with. She brought the Valentina patent d'orsay heels and goodness they are gorgeous. Flattering and comfy. I think I'd definitely go up half a size were I to order this. Shame they are patent leather as that's not my style but I wish they'd bring back the straight up leather Valentina. Best shoe ever.
ReplyDeleteMy store seemed to have a nice mix of new arrivals but not much worked for me. I did leave with the gray schoolboy for $98, the new sailor stripe tee shirt (great weight and fit for me-actually paid full price as not a card member), I grabbed the crest pjs and hopefully I can return them. I didn't think to try them on but the pants are so long! Tailoring pjs is something I just won't do. They were final sale but hopefully a SA will allow.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a jcrew card? If so, shortening the pants is free. It's the only thing they do.
DeleteI don't have a card. I had no idea they did that- thank you!
DeleteI took a look at the online sale section this morning. 48 per page, so a little better than the first day, and I tried it, but it was still taking forever paging through. It really needs to be twice that amount per page (or configurable).
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention that I tried two swimsuits (one-piece) yesterday. One is the wrap tank style in the polka dots (that's what they had vut I would order one of the solid colors). This one was TTS and quite flattering on and I didn't feel like the wrap was about to open any second and expose my boobs. The other one is the stripe lace-up tank (the one with the grommets). I don't know if I tried a fluke but this one was very small in my regular size (for reference I am consistently a 4 in tanks) and the cups were teeny and didn't cover much. Not sure if it's the style or the sizing but beware if you order it (especially on fs).
ReplyDeleteHi JCAs, do any of you know whether the factory stores have any promos going on? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the drive or if the online prices reflect what's in-store. Thanks for your input.
ReplyDeleteSavvy Shopper when I went in earlier this week, Factory was having great promos. Just about everything in the store seemed to be either 40 or 50% off. I purchased a number of items (I already wrote about them in this post and in more detail in the "Looking to Love" post.) I would think the promos would run through the weekend. There were great deals to be had. I am really liking their new Spring stuff.
DeleteThanks 312jCgirl. Heading over today :)
DeleteDid stop by cherry creek, co store. Purchased the stripe sleeve merino sweater, sized down to XS. $39. Classic stud bracelet $22. These items were on sale with 30% off and they took off 20% card promo. Used my rewards card since nothing I like from latest rollout. Noticed same promos as mentioned above. Except in case jewelry was 20% off not 25.
ReplyDeleteI've been rounding up the new cuts & promo info today. It feels like just about everything is on sale. I'll have to finish it tonite after Mini goes to bed.
ReplyDeleteClick here to view. The cuts are at the top, along w/some in-store pricing info, where applicable.
A few more new reviews on my blog:ikat popover, andie shorts, antique floral shell, chambray valentinas and a new tee with days of the week on it.
ReplyDeleteYou can see it here.
Finally got the embroidered trim printed scarf after waiting for a sale. Got the 25% off. Liked it for a while and then even more after seeing it styled on pinkpeoniesdotcom. Also pitched up the pebble colour block baseball cap with the 25% off in-store.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone reviewed the Merino Sweater in Chambray Eyelet? I'm wondering about fit. I wear an XXS in most J Crew tops except when the arms are tight.
ReplyDeleteLiza, I reviewed it on my blog. I took my normal size Large. HTH!
DeleteI tried on in store and my usual size small fit well in shoulders & sleeves but overall it was at least 2 inches too short and too boxy at the waist. Disappointed because it really is cute but just "off".
DeleteI reviewed it too!
DeleteThank you ladies.
DeleteI have not been to the Retail store in weeks, nothing is tempting me to stop in. I will concur with the website sale section woes...very annoying and I don't like that you can't switch from section to section easily. Very frustrating.
ReplyDeleteI was at my Factory store yesterday - assorted 30%-50% depending on the items. I saw a new embellished sequin sweatshirt similar to the grey/black version from fall in ivory and navy. Tried a lot of things on - including the boatneck stripe popover which I thought was a Charley sweater - obviously not because the fit was very small.
As I said above, my store had the navy retail Field jackets for 50% off $125- picked up one of those. They had a table of clearance shoes for $20 - mostly cap toe flats in assorted colors, a few factory Ceces and some of the Factory Janey flats (in an odd purple and greenish citrus lime color) as well as some cap toe pumps. I bought the navy satin cap toe pumps - for $20 it was a good deal. Aside from that I'm a little underwhelmed with Spring factory
I received the collection cate in sequin but disappointed in it- the fit the way it hangs- but its final sale.....BUT- there were a lot of loose fishing line type hanging off...I'm too afraid to cut or pull it for fear the sequins may fall off (I can always consign it)- do you think it's enough to get CS to take it as a return (if I took it like that to a consignment shop I also think they wouldn't take it)?
ReplyDeleteI have told CS how disappointed I am with a item. It can be a different color from what the website looked like or other irregularites with the item. Final sale or not I believe if you call them and tell them your not happy with the item they will let you return it. HTH.
DeleteYou paid a pretty penny for the dress...if your not happy...CS will let you return. Good luck and let us know how it turns out...
DeleteReview here of the popover sweatshirt in floral jacquard. $119.99 online vs $99.99 in-store. Thumbsup from me.
ReplyDeleteAnyone seen and comment on the necklace "Crystal and Cut Stone" I like all the colors and cant decide. thx!
ReplyDeleteOT, but anyone had trouble with the quality of Jcrew shoes? Purchased a pair of collection heels on sale less than a month ago and the back heel ripped....not sure what to do!
ReplyDeleteYou are in the 30 or 60 day reg. return window...but again quality issues should justify a return....let us know how it goes...
Deletethanks! they told me I should use their cobbler to fix the issue.....hoping he can fix it or they will take them back!
DeleteA couple more reviews. The matte crepe tee in bright persimmon and the Campbell capris in abstract wave in this post.
ReplyDeleteDropped by the store today but didn't find anything too interesting to buy. However, I did order the Swarovski crystal necklace and matching bracelet (with the silver tone metal) with the 25% LOVE promo, and CS stacked the 20% JCC promo on top ;D Love their service!!
ReplyDeletethanks so much ladies for the tip on the retail downtown field jacket stocked at the factory stores! i just did a charge send for a navy in xs for around $65! id been eyeing this jacket for years and im so glad i was able to get it at this price! woohooo
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure the Factory version is different than the retail. They look almost identical but I think the retail version has a coating on it that the Factory does not.
DeleteI did confirm with the sa who helped me that it was the retail version, namely downtown field jacket which came in just this week. She said she was surprised to see it herself. She also noted that it is different from the factory resin jacket and the emmett field jacket which are both factory only. I will give an update once I receive it and try do a comparison with my sister's retail bought navy jacket.
DeleteEek. And by emmett I meant everett :)
DeleteThanks, I would be curious to hear as I just purchased the retail version which is $20+ more! Granted with promos I purchased it for about $10 more than the Factory version with promos but it's still annoying that two identical jackets would be at two different price points depending on where you purchase it.
DeleteI bought the silk cat-print shirt (it was on sale + 30% off sale + stacked student discount), but didn't realize it was final sale and was hoping to return it. Will they let me return it for store credit at least? I'm not loving it as much as I thought I would. :(
