Today is the last day J.Crew is {secretly} offering customers to take an additional 30% off all sale items (no min) with promo code MUSTSHOP.
"Thanks!" to Gigiofca (in this post) who let us know about a nice surprise: there were lots of new items in the Spring Sale (click here to shop online) this morning! For example, the Biennial Satchel is on sale in the Red & Tan from $348 to $178. I am off to check out myself right now. :)
Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?
I've got my eye on a few items but will decide later today about whether to actually buy them.
ReplyDeleteSo - the new arrivals. Very few additions to my eye...
Is there any online promo codes right now ?!? I am getting Marriedin two weeks and would love to make a big purchase but never without a coupon
DeleteThe biennial satchel in red and saddle were on sale this morning for $178. Stacked with the 30% off, it came down to about $125! It's sold out online now, but you can always call and have then locate it in store for you and they'll honor the sale price.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the Superfine Cotton skirt and jacket are on sale in a few colors. For anybody who is just graduating and in need of a suit for job interviews this summer, or if you just need a warm-weather suit, the Superfine Cotton in navy would be absolutely perfect, imo. Plus, it's a steal at sale + 30% off!
ReplyDeletethanks Whitney, I just placed an order for jacket and trousers, I already have a skirt. I ordered two sizes just in case, how do they fit?
DeleteI think you'll definitely end up taking the smaller of your two sizes, just as I did. They run a little large, ime.
DeleteYikes, I did major damage with this promo. Two Superfine Cotton pencil skirts, a pair of trousers and a jacket! And then since I had no shoes to wear with my 3 navy suiting pieces, I bought the navy Valentina's to try! But honestly, I need a suit and for 30% off you can't beat the Superfine pieces...
DeleteI dont know if this was mentioned anywhere but the raj paisley, gondola and ultra eyelet skirts are on sale.
ReplyDeleteI bit and ordered the cotton cafe capri in yellow and the cotton pencil skirt in succulent green which I'm iffy about. If I don't like it I can always return it and get the golden sunflower color later instead.
ReplyDeleteI bit twice on this promo. My orders seem to be rising exponentially now that final sale is gone. :)
ReplyDeleteThere also seem to be a few new arrivals in the new arrivals section today!
I got the Valentina printed pumps in light walnut black.
ReplyDeleteThe Vancouver store had several Biennial satchels for anyone interested. I got this bag last fall but it didn't work out for me.
Caroline: I tried to reply to your post, but I can't, so I'm just adding this comment. I am on the hunt for the biennial satchel, which is already sold out--as you said. However, when I contacted CS, they said they can't contact a store to locate a sale item--and they also said the store won't match the online sale price. I am SAD! :(
ReplyDeleteI chatted with a rep online and they attached a message for me to help locate the bag in stores. Then they had me call 1(800)562-0258 to directly talk to a rep (for payment purposes) and they were able to locate the bag and process everything for me. Try calling again and talking to a different CS and perhaps they'll be able to locate the bag for you as well as match the sale price online! GL!
DeleteLeah, Call any store directly and ask them if they have it. If not, ask nicely if they can check their system to see if anyone does. Everytime I have tried that they have been more than happy to help. As far as the store matching the online price, it is worth asking the store directly. I have found that with many customer service questions it really depends on who you ask and how helpful they want to be. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteOoh, in the new arrivals there are some cute shoes and I love the caribbean tweed skirt and capris.
ReplyDeleteOT: Pretty sure Gwyneth Paltrow is wearing the Tipped Double-Serge Hacking Jacket @ LAX yesterday. I am a total GOOP apologist and have been since the mid-90's when she did "Emma" and "Sliding Doors", so it thrills me that she also shops at J.Crew :) Post here:

Damage performed! Ordered the pencil skirt (cotton) in rose, the capri in khaki (always good to have an extra pair), the cotton long cardigan heather flax, and a couple pairs of flip flops. I'm glad my boyfriend have separate bank accounts :)
ReplyDeleteQuestion on fit: Gondola stripe top & striped maxi skirt - TTS or size down?
ReplyDeleteAlso, Gondola top and eyelet tank are showing up FINAL SALE in my cart. What is up with that??
shopalot, I have a review of this top here. Scroll to the bottom. It's a great top, in my opinion.
DeleteThe Gondola stripe top is one of my new favorite things (I'm so glad I've just been stalking it in store and waited to purchase until now!!) I am between a medium and small in knit tops and took a size 4 in the Gondola. The size 2 also fit, but I have gigantic upper arms and so it was a little too tight there for my liking. So in my opinion, it runs a little large.
DeleteIn regards to the Gondola stripe top, how does it feel? It is soft?? The last silk shirt I tried one from J.Crew was the Talitha popover in feather paisley and I hated how it felt.
DeleteAlso, I'm a 6 in perfect shirts and a small in knits...so a 4 should work, right? :)
The Gondola top is very very soft, totally different feel from the Talitha, which I also have. Different weight of silk also, the Gondola seems heavier, more substantial. I decided not to size down in the Gondola btw, since I wanted it to drape rather than fit.
DeleteThanks for all of the info on the Gondola stripe top. I ordered one size down & fingers crossed it fits. I am so happy the final sale nonsense is over for now.
DeleteThanks cagliari76! I missed getting the top with the extra 30% last night, so I may try to find it in in the stores. It sounds so lovely!
DeleteThanks, Rose! I will size one down. I agree with you, it doesn't look like much on the hanger but it looks great on you. Chat with customer service indicated that final sale is no longer in effect. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I placed an order on Tuesday for the petite jardin skirt (in 3 sizes, since FS is gone and I was unsure of the sizing) then today for the jersey stripe maxiskirt, saint james tee, and citrus bubble necklace (my roommate got a catalog with a "welcome to J. Crew" 20% off code and was nice enough to let me use it...happy birthday to me!!!)
ReplyDeleteMy closet will thank me, my bank account will not.
I've been waiting for the mini delicious apple shorts to go on sale. Thanks for the heads up about the new additions!
ReplyDeleteDo you guys think we'll get a full price promotion soon? I've had my eye on some items that have not made their way over to sale!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for one too... Ladies? Anyone have an inside scoop?
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteDid a ton of damage but thankfully nothing is final. I am trying out the scalloped short and scalloped skirt and the Hutton trench trouser in linen because I really need a dressy white pant and I am still unsure about the Marina trousers that I got on FS. I also got a featherweight cashmere short-sleeve sweater. I'm liking the feel (completely non-itchy) of the this year's crop of featherweights but I'm not sure what the Bright Marigold colour looks like in real life. Fingers crossed that it doesn't make me look like a tangerine.
ReplyDeleteWished that I had gotton the Canary tweed skirt in my size. If anyone sees a size 0 in store, please let me know!
I did some serious damage with this sale! I can't believe the Raj Paisley skirt was marked down... one of the B&M's I frequent just got it in last week! I scooped up that and the Gondola Striped top (which is amazing by the way) as soon as I could. Also the navy Ultra Eyelet pencil skirt. I have the skirt in Chili and it's my favorite skirt to wear.
ReplyDeleteI know!
DeleteEyelet skirts limited sizes left. :(
:( Being on the west coast I always see the sales a little late. If anyone is looking for the eyelet skirt, I know the SF and Walnut Creek stores still had it in Chili as of last weekend. In fact, they probably still do. At the SF store they were in the way back of the store folded on a really low shelf. I don't think you would see them if you didn't know what you were looking at!
DeleteBoston had a big stack in Chili last week.
DeletePlaced one more order today, the Raj pencil skirt which like Christine, my B&M just got in last Friday and the Gondola stripe top and they are doing a search for me for the rope stripe skirt!!! I hope I get that as well.
ReplyDeleteMB, the Vancouver store has quite a few of the rope stripe skirts! HTH
DeleteHow do you get them to do a search for you for sale items? Every time I ask they say they don't search for sale items but they'll do it as a "courtesy." I even asked my personal shopper and got the same response.
DeleteHi Rose thanks so much, they found one for me!! In the B&M it's marked down to 119.99 so they gave me that price plus the extra 30%, very excited.
DeleteAlly my online PS is great always offers to search for me and always with free shipping. I think I just lucked out with her. My in-store PS a different story...
Congrats, MB! I'm a little frustrated... Catalog says they are 'completely' sold out; I found one in Boston, but they won't honor the 30% off :(
DeleteMB: What is your online PS' name? I am still trying to look for a decent online PS..
DeleteI feel like I need to do some kind of dance and chant for a FP promo ... either that or make a sacrifice to the CrewGods to put the three dinky things I *still* want on sale at least! RAAAAAAAARRRR! Why do I have to want the only freaking things that aren't getting marked down?
ReplyDeleteThis morning all I picked up was a striped painter tee and another merino Tippi to save for next year. I love them to bits, so anytime I can find one for $35, I'm in.
I was very excited for y'all to see the apple shorts and the Gondola top marked down. :)
Thanks to everyone for the replies about the satchel. Now another question: Has anyone seen any sale Talithas blouses in stores? I'd love to get another color (I have the wreath and feather paisley), but I missed out on the size 0/2P in the navy and cobblestone when it went on sale online this morning (darn it)! I'd love to have it in another color. Anyone have a lead? :) Thanks much!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe I missed these on sale. I have been waiting for them to go on sale since their debut. The Toronto store has some but never on sale. I checked at the start of this promo but didn't think to check back later...grrr
DeleteI just saw the navy and wreath in sale section at Sacramento's Arden store. Didn't check sizes.
ReplyDeleteThank you SO much! I called there and scored the Talitha in the berry color. It was on sale for $69, AND they matched the 30-percent promo! The SA was very nice and helpful. If only I'd been able to avoid the shipping fee; I wish I lived near an actual store! :)
DeleteIf anyone got the patent leather skinny bow belt size small on sale, please let me know if you don't want it. I've missed it every morning :(!
ReplyDeleteI saw a bunch in pink and tan at the Columbus Circle, NYC location... There were smalls and mediums. Marked to $24.99.
DeleteI had my ps order the striped maxi skirt. I went back and forth about the raj pencil skirt, but after talking to my ps, I decided to get the garden floral and maybe the seersucker. I hope they're both flattering. :)
ReplyDeleteStill full price online, but I saw the Poppy King lipstick marked down to $7.99 in store!
ReplyDeleteI just received this lipstick $22 can. for me. It is nice but I was expecting more of a orange/red colour. Its much more red...and no orange/coral which is what I thought it would be. The quality seems nice...at $7.99 I would pick one up to try and see if you like it.
DeleteCAROLYN from Vancouver
P.S Receved the poco-dot retro tunic...way too pricey for a thin cotton top, the sovreign print and abstract leopard long pencils are nicer IRL.
Try Nars' Heatwave.
DeleteI second Nars' heatwave. I have it. Perfect orange red. Incredible pigment. I circulate between heatwave and poppy, depending on whether I'm in an orange-red or poppy red mood.
DeleteI picked up the No. 2 in neon pink cotton, some basic FP tops, the white ring-around eyelet top and some embellished flip-flops to qualify for free shipping. I have a feeling the neon pink will not suit my coloring though but I'm desperate to break my safe and boring color habit!
ReplyDeleteFirst time commenter (smiles) but have been enjoying the site for some time. Thanks to everyone's comments and postings, I was able to find the biennial bag in Georgetown yesterday evening and after "some" discussion about the add'l %, I got the bag at $125 (I was going to leave it w/o the add'l 30%- no shame in my "sale-shopping" game). Wish the stores were more consistent about price matching but I have been lucky to get good sales people when I call/go to the different stores, who have not had any problems about matching the online or add'l sale prices. I see today that the bag is $278 on sale...just wondering if they made a mistake on yesterday's sale? Whatever happened, I am thrilled with my new bag. Thanks again for all the info as it definitely keeps me on my toes. Just FYI, there is a great store manager in Bridewater Commons..very nice and extra helpful.
