  1. I used the code late last night and got the navy/green striped sweater dress and woke up this morning to find it was marked down further...but of course I can't get a price adjustment...

  2. Annoyed that the 30% off doesn't apply to Crewcuts promo prices, as I was waiting for a % off to order some stuff for my daughter. It does apply to women's though, so I reordered the Valentina slingbacks ($125 with the 30% off on top of the promo). I also got the elastic clip belt from last summer for $6.99! That's a deal that is worth to adventure in fs territory...

  4. Here's a radical tip for moving some of the merchandise that's been lingering on the site, Mickey Jong-Drexler: Lower the sale price! Also: Don't take it from full price directly to final sale. Makes me wonder what's wrong with the item that I don't have option to return.

  6. I noticed some items have a totally different price structure today. Also there is a coat that went back up to $300 in the thin sulfate version.

  7. Just got the open stitch cardigan and silk marlice popover. There were mixed reviews on the popover fit, but the live chat person gave me product measurements very quickly! I had bought the open stitch in Navy and love it. It runs a little large, but it's not a style you'd want to be tight.

  8. Tall redwood minnies popped back in my size, so I got some sweaters that I tried before and I know they fit well too (ripplestitch in striped and cotton waffle). Cant' beat the prices.

  9. Any extra percent off or new markdowns in store ?

  10. They seem to have fixed the pricing issue from earlier today...I had my eye on the maritime dress but the markdown was in grey, not red, but was still showing up final sale in my cart and not applying the discount code. The code works now...just deciding if I'm going to bite and pay shipping or bulk up my order for free shipping!

  11. Had my eye on the Winnie dress forever glad I had previously tried it on in the store or I would have never ordered a zero instead of my regular size 4

  12. I ordered a few things ... Couple of ripplestitch stripe sweaters (thanks for the heads-up Rose, they were a good price), the Morse Code schoolboy, crystal stripe bracelet. I also ordered the stripe invitation clutch FP to test drive. Lots of odd pricing issues today. Definitely affected my order.

  14. I bit. After stalking the Marla dress for nine trillion years, finally grabbed it for $139.99. Here's hoping it fits...meep! Also picked up the Factory trench. I'm trusting you JCAs on the quality...I've heard great things. :D

  15. Of course! There's a Merino knit v-neck dress in navy and a linen color that I would love to have for work! <3

  16. I ordered the black and white gingham shirt last Friday and called for a price adjustment. J. Crew gave me a one time price adjustment. It never hurts to ask!

  17. I got the Marlice Popover. Have tried it on previously and knew what size I needed (took my usual Perfect Shirt size). Loose but that's what I'd like in a silk shirt. Pretty good price after the discount. See my review HERE. You may want to size down if you want a more fitted look.

    1. If I didn't already have an abundance of impractical-for-me silks, I would have gotten it, too :)

  19. I picked up the animal-print Valentinas (heels and flats) because I figured the price won't go much lower before they sell out. Happy to say this week is bonus payout week at my work, so this order is my 'bonus' treat to myself; I don't normally spend $100 on a pair of shoes (I know some of you are LOLing right now!). I also tacked on the Aubrey jacket in bi-stretch wool to match the Paley pant in the same fabric I got a few weeks ago. I hope they match as I'm expecting to, otherwise I will be SOL. Ordered the jacket in an 8 Tall since the Tall jackets seem to fit me better as far as where the cuff breaks.

I briefly debated ordering the Jules dress in the wildcat print and having it cut down into a blouse, but then I decided that was crazy talk. Someday the wildcat blouse will show up for me! :P

    1. Elaine, you can wear try wearing the dress tucked into a skirt for an alternate look. Then you still have the full dress to wear and not only a top version. I haven't tried it myself, but I've seen bloggers wear dresses as shirts inside skirts and it can work.

  20. Did the gardenshade floral skirt run TTS (like the no 2 wool pencil skirts) or did it fit big?

    1. I'm in between sizes and I bought a 6 in the Gardenshade Floral skirt, but I could have taken a 4. The larger size is more comfortable if you sit at a desk for most of the day, imo.

    2. Thanks so much!!! What about the medallion paisley?

    3. Same exact thing. I think that the cotton skirts tend to run a little larger than their wool counterparts. I'm wearing the medallion paisley today and I LOVE it.

  21. Despite having purchased a bunch of stuff this past weekend at my local B&M, I just bit on a skirt and jacket in the superfine cotton suiting. I would recommend these pieces to anyone who lives in a hot climate or has to wear a suit in the summertime. None of the superfine cotton jackets were on sale in the store, to my knowledge. Both the skirt and jacket came in at about $160 with the 30% off promo.

  22. Wanted to add that Ebates is offering 6% cash back on jcrew.com purchases today (not sure for how long) but hey, it covered my tax! :)

    1. Thanks for the tip! I decided to get the petite chinos, but since they aren't FS I couldn't apply the promo. But I'll take whatever offer I can get! :)
