J.Crew Updates Website with New Arrivals!

"Thanks!" to many of you, including wellfedfred & Desert Flower (in this post), who let us know that J.Crew had an update to its website today (click here to view online).

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, as did the J.Crew Collection (click here).

The latest HOLIDAY catalog (click here to view) is now available to view. So happy to see that this feature is back, right where it belongs!

I am off to check out the new arrivals!

What items are you most excited about and why? Which items are you surprised (or not surprised) to see? Which items did you hope would be included? Were you expecting a bigger roll-out today? Also, did you receive the latest catalog? :)

  1. The Mona mary janes are very cute... would love them more if they had a lower heel, even just 3/4" lower!

I must have the Valentina calf hair pumps. They are so pretty and the heel makes them practical.

I also like the silk pintuck blouse but since I already have all the past similar blouses (joelle cami/blouse, fineline cami, harlow blouse) in various colors, I am relieved to be able to skip this one. Well, maybe I could pick up the pink color...

They had the "cashmere on the button henley" in the sample sale last weekend, and it is nice. It fits TTS and is the standard 12 gauge... kicking myself for not getting the pretty orange one I found!

  3. I didn't see much that I had to have.

I do love the stadium cloth car coat in buffalo plaid. There was a similar coat last year that ended up on super sale, so I will bite if that happens again.

  4. Big update this morning. It's nice to see new items added to the sale section.

I do love the holiday catalog. Nobody does color quite like J.Crew.

  5. Wow, quite the update to the sale section. It went from about 600 items to about 1500 items when I looked at around 10 a.m. But... I am so shopped out and exhausted from the constant promos!!

  6. The combination of 25% off, free ship and a rewards card burning a hole in my pocket caused me to bite on a new arrival. I ordered the wool tuxedo tie pant. Live chat says the wool is light like super 120s. I just returned the disappointing Madewell tuxedo stripe pant so hopefully these will work better for me.

  7. JCrewJD I agree the Valentina calf hair pumps would be fabulous to own. I really like the heel on those!
    DesertFlower those pants look beautiful!

  8. Wow, that was a pretty big update. Nice to have some popbacks with the discount.

  9. I jumped on the perfect shirt in clay check I had been stalking since it "sold out" and got it in my size, happy dance. Also grabbed bootcut jeans in dark rinse wash in my size and Tippi sweater that I had been kicking myself for forgetting to put in the order for last night when the promotion was still active. The shimmer bow sweater jumped out of my bag as I tried to put it in (size small)

  10. Lol @ Pathos, good question. Got too tired to put on pants after all? If I recall, J.Crew also celebrated last Holidays as pants-optional...

  11. This is the big holiday rollout? I didn't find much in the new arrivals, nice to see a cotton v-neck sweater as these are great for transitioning from winter to spring and I love cotton as I'm sensitive to wool and synthetics, which rules out a lot of the other sweaters. The cotton pencil skirt is nice too. But I didn't really see anything else I must have. I am pretty shopped out though, perhaps that is part of it.

  12. I really like the Purple Hutton pants and the purple sweater dress. Tempted to get those w/discount. Every time I think I'm done, they pull me back in! I really wish they'd make shoes more like the styles of the Juliets and the older Mary Janes.

  13. Oh JCrew how you torment me when I had sworn off any more purchases! I thought I was doing good scrolling through the new arrivals . .nothing I had to have, then I came to the Toothpick jean in garment-dyed twill in neon persimmon. These may not appeal to others, but I have been on the hunt to replace two pairs of pink pants/jeans that I sadly cannot fit into anymore for two years. And let me tell you, it is a hard thing to find!! Done deal . .now just hoping that the color IRL is similar to the screen. :)

  14. Yeah, I thought I was done too, but I actually ended up rebuying some stuff that was further reduced! And just one new item. This past month I have rebought and return because of the constant reduced prices and promos. Do you guys know if there's a limit to returns because I've done my fair share of online returns this month that I'm sure the SA are tired of seeing me :)!

  15. Does anyone know if the car coat fit is similar to JC's peacoats?

  16. CCS, I saw those pants in my store. They are beautiful but the color is almost neon (like the neon melon of summer 2010). Definitively a warmer weather item.
Off to checkout the rest of the rollout now!

  17. CCS - I bought those yesterday at first sight. I think they are really cute! I live in the South and will wear these year round.

  18. Awww man! I think I gotta take a pass on this one. I have hit every single sale -- there are so many things with tags hanging in my closet it's downright embarrassing. And yet ... one more color of flair skirt wouldn't make much of a difference now would it? Oh, and those Valentina pumps? Lovely!

  19. A few things I like but overall, a tad disappointing. I just bought some Xmas presents so I'm pretty weary from combing both regular and sale priced items. I enjoy looking at the catalogs so I'm looking forward to that.

  20. pathos: haha I'm not sure! i was clicking through the catalog and saw her on p.47, remembered your comment and thought it must be referring to her! is it just me, or does she look a little bit tipsy and/or hungover in that whole spread?

oh, and I totally bit on a popback that I have been stalking all month. whoops. (oh, and same story on madewell this morning. I had either really good or really bad luck today... I'm not 100% sure which yet!)

  21. A little boring of a roll out. The Silk Pintuck Blouse and the wool tuxedo tie pant were the only two items that jumped out at me and I don't need them now. I can wait to see if they go on sale.

Thank goodness! My pocket book is happy.

  23. I like the cafe capri in green and blue. I must have the green. :) I love the purple wool pants but refuse to pay that much. I hope that many others are turned off by the price so I can get them after a couple of markdowns. :D

I have enough holiday tees, but I'm still disappointed that they didn't even put one out. Crewcuts has holiday tees this year, so why not women?

  24. My JC credit card bill is going to look crazy. I.must.not.shop. But oh so much pretty!

  25. I love the purple Hutton trouser but it I can't and will not day the retail price. I hope they Sterling skirt pops back up at the beginning of the year.

  26. Just got home from my local B&M store and...disappointed. Anyway, get ready to gasp: I just received from UPS the waffle striped leggings $38 +25% off and they are to-die-for comfy...so at the B&M they have them in navy/white and pink/orange and they are asking $48! Yep, $10.00 more and there are ZIPPO promotions...except for scarfs and mittens on promotion and vintage cords 10.00 off. But I actually heard two women say as they left that the store had no holiday appeal whatsoever and they were mad at the lack of display and color for the holidays.

I agreed. For some reason, browsing the catalog is becoming more fun for me because I can at least play with the styling/color combos of what is already in my closet. Still like the JADE CAPRI but I'm waiting.

  28. Grandma Mama Daughter Dot shirt is 100% lyocell and $275. Seriously? I don't care who designed it.

  29. Rose, I saw that shirt too and if it were something special with unique styling, a luxurious fabric or an incredible print I could accept the price but it's a fairly basic shirt and not worth the money. I don't care if it's made from wood pulp or recycled bath mats. When "sustainability" for average items cost 5-6 times more than a regular shirt it is not sustainable IMO. The Chevy Volt of ready-to-wear I suppose. You could likely burn it in your wood stove as well, if you were in a pinch.

  30. Damn you JCrew! When will you get a WISH LIST so Hacking Jacket I have tried to order over and over again does not get taken from my cart when I am deleting the other things I will wait to buy! OK...Vent OVER.

  31. Rose,

    I know. Ridiculous!

But many people will want to have it I am sure!

  32. I was looking at the Wedding/Bride's Maids dresses, and would love to hear what everyone thinks of their direction. Personally, I don't like any of them, and am wondering if this is a "trend" in dresses or some other J Crew imagining. The sashes that make a halter dress? I also thought the dresses look 2 sizes too small for the models wearing them. They overall strike me as unattractive and inappropriate for a formal occasion.

Concerned largely because isn't the designer of Bridal going to be taking over Womens'?

  33. I LOVE the Valentina calf hair pumps... but the price... ugh. Does anyone have any idea how they run size-wise??? TTS, large, small??? TIA for any answers.
