This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING & SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
I see that they are still punishing online shoppers, as I bought this bracelet in store Sunday for 39.99 (the price it had been prior to this jewelry "sale") plus 20% off, in pale buff.

It's gorgeous. $32 was fair, I would not have paid much more for it. I got these earrings to go with the bracelet (or not), although mine are much more peach than the violet dust they are showing here:

Sorry, I didn't want one post to be too long. I'm new, and it doesn't look like the links become active to click on, sorry about that. I'm excited, I grabbed the moto sweater/jacket for $39.99, and another petals vine cami in orchid shadow for the same price. I used to refuse to buy ANY gold jewelry or anything with gold embellishments, but in the last few months I have tried to become more flexible, hence, the purchase of the moto sweater (gold zipper). I felt like I have awoken to fashion, which I used to dread, thanks to blogs like this and Chloe conspiracy. I was/am a feminist, so I always rejected pink in my 20's. Since I have opened myself to pink, now I feel like I can't get enough of that blush pink color, even though it totally washes me out. I also try to "anchor" any really girly colors with a more masculine color of some sort. Anyway, thanks for reading.
ReplyDeleteLast post, I promise. To those of you who know JCrew, does this irritating Final Sale go until everything is gone? I will not order something I have not tried on via final sale, I just won't. Sizes are too inconsistent, although better than some other women's stores. I am usually a small, but the moto sweater is a great example, because the XS looked infinitely better.
ReplyDeleteSubscribing. :)
ReplyDeletePicked up the Impressionist-print scarf for 15.99, my store had a few I had missed earlier. It has a wonderful range of colors for late summer/early fall: olive, deep pink, rust.
ReplyDeleteI mentioned in another thread but worth repeating if anyone is interested in checking their stores... the Fringed Tunics were marked down to 9.99 in my B&M, 7.99 after extra 20%. I got the pink.
I also visited the outlet. Maybe it's just me, but I NEVER have good luck there. With the exception of the "Winnie" pant, I find the quality inferior vs. regular retail on almost everything. And, the price difference is not significant vs. buying regular retail on sale. Left there w nothing.
I visited 2 Crewlets this past week in Myrtle Beach SC and they surprisingly had some good stuff! I got a Frances look-alike cami (different name) in a color I'd never seen before (a purple/magenta). The only difference I've noticed compared to the full retail version is that the ruffle on the color isn't "finished" which concerns me. Anyway, they also had Jackies in the "silk indigo floral" print (brown and blue) as well as the Balustrade (blue and black) print, "long & lean" tank tops for $4.99, the ink-dot dress (perhaps slightly different) and more...I was really surprised. Oh, also some retail version graphic tees! The best looks I'd seen at a Crewlet in awhile! For men, my husband scored some great deals on shorts as well as soft vintage polo tees. Haven't ventured into my local JC lately...need to save up haha.
ReplyDeleteI got the ikat embroided pencik skirt for $55. I don't wear pencil skirts enough to justify paying fp but this one is wonderful for that price. Runs small. I got my usual size but it is a little bit snug (they didn't have a size up)
ReplyDeleteStopped by the outlets and saw a bunch of bow pencil skirts in neon pink, and orange. Hope this helps someone!

ReplyDeleteHi everyone,
ReplyDeleteDuring the additional 30% off promo in-store I saw mint/breeze colored jackie cardigans on sale for $39.99. Does anyone who has been in a store recently know if they are still that price? Crossing my fingers that they were marked down.
Ruffles,
ReplyDeleteI was excited to stop at my first Outlet while on a road trip. I was happy with what I got until I realized the 3 belts I bought were NOT real leather like in regular stores. So agree. Quality not there for about same sale prices at regular store. Keeping my belts b/c I cannot return them and I do like them but will be really looking if/when I ever do go to one again. Also, noticed the flip flops that are embroidered with the black bottoms--the black sole is not as good of quality as regular JCrew ones...
@Ema - I picked up the same pencil skirt online/FS. Hope it fits. The pumpkin color is a bit out of my safety zone. What will you be styling it with?
ReplyDeleteAmethyst, I bought the same skirt this week and I like it with navy, dark teal, charcoal, light but bright blue, and that's just what I had in my closet. :) I bought a size down from my regular non-JC size and it works. I also tried on my regular non-JC size and it would have worked, too. Hopefully you'll be fine with your choice.
ReplyDeleteWent again today and got the Canterbury Bells skirt for 32.99. Does anyone know of good color(s) tops to use with the navy blue and off-white? I don't want to match the blues perfectly so it's matchy matchy. Any ideas? Thanks, Amy
ReplyDeleteAmy, what about yellow, red, orange, coral, bright pink, bright grass green? I haven't seen the skirt IRL, but does it have any grays, taupes, or browns in it that you could play off of? Or a lighter blue in the same shade?
ReplyDelete@MathTeacher - thanks for the suggestions!
ReplyDeletegarden state plaza mall concept store just received their first shipment of fall collection. Lots of blazers, velvet skirt, and sequin collection items on display.

Seen over the weekend:
ReplyDeleteROCKINGHAM/SALEM NH store
Terra paisley perfect shirt in size 6 (fall pattern?)
Several sizes of seaside madras shirts
Several sizes of watercolor pastiche pencil skirts
White/metallic tweed jackets for $99 - 20%
NORTHSHORE/PEABODY MA store
Neapolitan pencil skirt in size 14
Also 30% off all sale items at Talbots - in store and online
Amy, I haven't seen that skirt IRL, so these are just suggestions to try: red, bright pink, yellow, bright grass green, orange, coral. Are there any shades of gray, black, taupe, or brown in the skirt that you could pull from? I saw someone on another blog wearing it with charcoal and it looked good. Good luck!

It looks like I'm crazy posting the same thing over and over! I'll be glad when blogger has this fixed (of course, it may be fixed by now! :D).
ReplyDelete@mathteacher, thanks for the suggestions. I am a bit conservative on weather crayola colors, but I had never thought of a shade of green, that's a great idea. I will have to look closer at it to see if there are any neutrals in it. Thanks!
