Preface: A big "thanks!" to Clicquot (in this post) who came up with the suggestion to create this post. Also, "thanks!" to the JCAs who voted (in the "How Long Have You Been "Sipping the Crewlade"? {poll time}" post). I will start out by posting on Mondays for a few weeks, and then see how it goes. Hopefully this will help out us JCAs! :)
This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the RESORT & early SPRING sale, or to see some new SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
I did visit. The sale section was fairly small, and there was no additional percent off. I saw some of the new arrivals, primarily the two newer prints in skirts and other pieces. I only made a return (the golden flambe pencil skirt) and didn't buy anything.
ReplyDeleteI was @ Stanford today & saw that the Rosebud Metallic Capri sandals were in the sale section for $29.99 (they are still full price $78 online). Cute, but I'd already bought the Jardins last week, otherwise I may have picked up a pair. Saw various sizes and colors (mostly the silver w/rose flower though).
ReplyDeleteThe Jcrew @ Mayfair Mall in Milwaukee had a bunch of new jewelry that was just marked down, can't recall exactly which pieces, but there was a ton of it. Sale section was small. They had tons of new spring things out!!
ReplyDeleteLots of tees on sale, as well as jewelry, in Charleston, SC. They had lots of new arrivals - some perfect shirts that aren't online, a few tees, the new purple garden print in skirt, cardi, and top, a great strapless dress that is adorable on and I want but refuse to pay full price for (it's not online yet), and some shorts. There may have been more new, but that covers what I tried on. I ended up buying a floral perfect shirt color code LIL (it's shades of dark pink w/ a little orange and spicy olive), a pair of boyfriend shorts ($10 off promo), and a garland tank. I really wanted the strapless dress, but I refuse to pay $148 for a dress, even if I do love it. It comes in ivory and a brown shade with a diamond design eyelet on it. I know that's a horrible description, but it was cute. I also saw several new flip flops, but they were $40 and up! Maybe if I could wear them to work, but that's too much for a plastic flip flop in my book. :)
ReplyDeleteKing of Prussia had $10 off solid swimwear ans several other similar promos throughout the store. I saw the Meridien tees in the men's section, they are thick and will need to be broken in to get soft but they are nice. Sale section was packed. I really like the linen-cotton fabric, tried on the tiered tank and loved it.
ReplyDeleteAnyone know when some of the new arrivals will be online?
ReplyDeleteI tried a few of the new arrivals but besides a new tee and the ribbed ruffle vest I didn't buy anything (I loved the new paisley print linen tunic and shell but the fit wasn't good on me). I will put up pics later today or tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteFrom the sale rack I bought the Mackenzie blazer in both black and peach. It was marked dowm to $79.99 in store and it's a lovely blazer, the wool is sooo soft. I highly reccomend it to anyone, especially petites who, as me, can't pull off the long boyfriend blazer look (it's a short blazer). Fits TTS if anyone is interested.
Tracey,
ReplyDeleteI heard Thursday but dont' know for sure....
I stopped by both a retail store and an outlet store. The retail store at Southpark mall in Charlotte look to have a lot of new arrivals. The tunique dress is beautiful. I wanted it so bad but the pricetag is a bit much for me. They didn't have much in the sale section. A few black blossom jackets for $29.99, some matchstick cords, lots of art tees. I didn't stay in there long so I didn't get a good look of everything that was out.
ReplyDeleteAt the outlets, they had a lot of cute stuff. There were several prints that were brought back from last spring/summer, namely the medallion print, which they have in a mini, capris, and strapless top; the gladiola print, which they have in a garland cami, pencil skirt, scarf, and capris; and the fresco print, which they have in a garland cami, scarf, and something else but I can't remember. The only thing I ended up getting was an outlet version of the gateau in the yellow color. It was in the sale section marked down to $35 with an additional 20% off.
I was at the Beachwood store in Ohio Saturday and they had a lot of the new arrivals. I was returning the Jackie in Wisteria, after I went to hang it up in my closet and realized I was on lilac overload. I just bought the Watercolor Garden cardi in Philly earlier last week. Tons on sale, lots of T's, the cotton A-line dresses that are short-sleeved with the lattice-cut neckline in navy, orange and a guava color.
ReplyDeleteI bought the linen tunique which I LOVE and will wear a lot this year, plus the Palmera cami in Whisper Pink. Plan on wearing it with the Jackie in Pearl along with a MIchelle I have from last spring in a champagne. Incidentally, I think the elusive CBR Celosia cardi is the color Cool Breeze.
I went to the Crewlet at Osage Beach, and saw many of the things that AppGal mentioned in her post. There were a LOT of cute cardis, many of them patterned, and some pretty jewelry. All denim was 30% off. There was also an outlet version of the Pixie pants, but they didn't seem to be cropped. I'm 5'4" and they fit me like regular pants. I think I'm better off with the retail version.
ReplyDeleteI got a silk Victoria cami in melon, cotton pencil skirts in beige and charcoal (unlined, but substantial enough and well-tailored), white matchstick jeans, black Minnies, a bright blue Jackie and some adorable pave starfish earrings. Favorite tanks were 50% off, so I stocked up on a few of those, too!
I visited both the Burlingame and Stanford stores today and got some great jewelry bargains! First I picked up the Duchess Stone Cocktail ring in black for $10 (!!!!!). It was marked at $24.99 or maybe $29.99, but either way it rang up as $9.99. I got the last small, but there was still a large and medium left I believe. When I went to the Stanford store, I found the Crystal Colletto Necklace in black at Stanford for 50% off (it's still $118 online). There was one more left this afternoon, aside from the one I bought. They also had a huge bowl of the Duchess and Majesty cocktail rings, if anyone is looking for those on sale. I didn't check the price but I bet they are around $30.
ReplyDeleteI ventured in last week for the first time in almost two months (yay for my diet! ;) There were few must-haves: the new hat tee (still $10 off, which makes it a very reasonable $19.50) and several pairs of peony flip flops ($14.99), the clustered pendant necklace (25723 $29.99). I wasn't crazy in love in anything.
ReplyDeleteI made it in last Sunday and forgot to post: I tried on several of the newer items and came home with the hat tee, the new Maxi Dress in Papaya, and a scarf. I'm curious to see if the Maxi Dress will be online and in other colors...I love it and can't wait to wear it. :)
ReplyDeleteNew Arrivals online tomorrow.
