Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to take advantage of what's left (if anything) in the winter sale or to see some new Spring/ Resort arrivals in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  3. OMG the Milla tank is already in my shopping cart! It better be cute for $175. What are the odds of a 20% off soon?

  4. I can't wait for another 20% off! All my shopping cart items disappear, actually, ;(
Has anybody been to Fashion Valley? Are they having any sales? last time I was there it was pretty boring.

  5. New arrivals are up - thank goodness nothing is catching my eye!

  6. I saw 25% off regular price shoes & sandals in SF Centre. They have the Cate patent slingback in sour lemon and a couple pair in the seashell color. A couple pair of Joley peep toe flats, too. That's all I remember. I wasn't bowled over & didn't see any new markdowns than we've seen in the recent couple weeks.

  7. There sure aren't that many new arrivals when this was supposed to be a big roll out!
Where is the flower skirt that was in the new marie claire? It said it was available in april.
Also where is the top that is shown with the 3/4 sleeve cardigan?
It doesn't seem like that many new items to me!

  8. yes and where are items like the vintage closet tops

  9. The big rollout is at the end of April.

  10. anon at 3:53. thanks for the info.
i'm just curious, where did you see or hear that?

  11. It is the start of the summer rollout it happens every year at the end of April and continues into May.

  12. I don't think I'll have time to visit this weekend...maybe one day next week, hopefully. :)

  13. Good Morning Alexis! Yes, I am usually up very early...not too many late mornings with so many little ones in the house. I like to get a head start on my day with a cup of coffee and some quiet time before they are up and running. ;) You are up quite early yourself! I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day! :)

  14. FFM: You always amaze me! You do so much for your family- they are lucky to have you! :) Have a great morning too! :)

  16. I just have to say that, once again, I am so excited to head to JC this weekend at Pentagon City for the DC Aficionadas outing. SO looking forward to meeting all these amazing and creative women!

I haven't been in JC since I started my Lenten shopping ban, so I am really looking forward to seeing everything IRL. Other than that, I've been feeding my passion with everyone's great reviews & pics.

  18. K Mel:

I have two of the Cotton-cashmere ruffle short sleeve cardigans, item 13504, in putty. I ordered a small and medium. I'm keeping the small and returning the medium. It is very cute, fits TTS and the pic on the model is a true pic of the item.

You can size up in this item if they're out of your size but your regular size is best fit for the style (in my humble opinion).

  19. As usual, could people post shoes, colors sizes, prices they see in their stores?

Thanks so much in advance, since many of our stores don't carry shoes! :)

  20. I will! I actually signed up for the personal shopper appointment to help me find an outfit for my bridal shower (20% plus 15% student discount
is too good of a deal to miss!) and will be blogging about it later today.

I have the Cotton Cashmere ruffle and find it tts. I ordered both the spicy olive and putty. For sure am returning the putty as it just washes me out but haven't decided about the spicy olive yet. It looks really cute over the hudson shell but the spicy olive is a bit out of my comfort zone and I'm not sure if I'll put it to good use.

  22. O/T: has anyone tried the cotton poplin tie-front dress? What are your thoughts?

  23. I agree, Anon 12:26, that Milla tank is the only thing that stood out to me, right now. I went to personal shopper yesterday & got 20% off the twisted cotton trench (got for $80), and the garland cami in beautiful breeze colour! It was really packed in at the BM, lots of peeps shopping.

  24. Anon 12:26 (Twiga):
There's a promotion going on right now that if you make an appointment with a JC personal shopper in the story by March 31, you'll get 20% your purchases totalling $125. So there, you're set!

I LOVE that Milla tank too and I have my appt today to score one! Been waiting for it to come out ever since I saw it previewed in spring booklet!

  25. Ack!!! I forgot I'm supposed to be on a shopping ban for Lent! And here I just scheduled that appt with my PS at a B&M so I can buy the Milla tank! Talk about falling off the wagon and totalling forgetting my commitment, just because I am so smitten.

So ladies, do I need an intervention? When does Lent end? Or is there special dispensation allowed for being good?

  26. @sooner_girl - JTS did a review of this dress on her blog here. She also did a Polyvore set for it: http://jadorethesestores.blogspot.com/2009/03/celery-silver-by-sailingariel-on.html

  29. Wow, the $50 price point seems to have worked for the daffodil Coralie suede heels. They appear to be all gone.

  30. Scored a pair of perfect patent pumps in dusty rose for $55 from the update today! The amount of time given to change your order has indeed gone up from 20 to 60 minutes...you can delete items from your order, but to add items you have to dump your entire order and start over.

  31. Francesca - according to my "Keepin a Holy Lent" pamphlet from church, because Sunday is a celebration and reminder of Jesus' resurrection, it is an appropriate time to lessen the restrictions of Lent. When I found out about the DC JCA outing, I thanked God that it was on a Sunday and decided that would be an ok time for me to lessen *my* restriction, provided the exercise had shown results, which it has and that I was good in the interim, which I have been. So if you are concerned, make an appointment for Sunday. HTH!

  32. Does anyone know if the 10% off coupons can be applied on top of the 20% off if you use the personal shopper? TIA

  33. * I'm still looking for a dusty rose patent belt in M and L, Wide and Skinny.

  34. I am about to go to the JCrew at Eastview mall in Victor, NY... and the outlet in Waterloo. I will let you know if there is anything of note at either store!

And I just had a JCA sighting! I am at the thruway stop outside of Rochester NY and I saw a woman who is obviously an aficionada. The first thing I noticed was her pearl ribbon necklace, which is brand new.. didn't that just come out? She also had on serengeti Juliets and the rest of her outfit was obviously JCrew too. I was pretty impressed. I wonder if she noticed my Lulus! So lady in the white jeep, if you're reading this, I loooved your outfit!

  35. Em, I responded to your post yesterday. Let's get something going either in Rochester or Syracuse, like the DC JCAs. I'd be interested to know what you find at Waterloo.

  36. OT but did anyone place an order this morning? I received the email confirmation that they will get started on my order. How long does it usually take to get notice of it actually shipping out? I'm just wondering if my item is actually in stock since it was final sale, argh!

    ReplyDelete
  37. It will ship out on Monday, they do not ship on weekends.

  38. Thanks, Heidi G! I rescheduled my appt for Sunday. Have fun with the DC JCAs. Look forward to hearing your shopping report!

  39. OT: check out Slastena's blog..yeii!

  40. Hey! I am back in Cleveland now (I visit NY frequently)... didn't find anything at Eastview. The outlet in Waterloo was better. It seems like more and more of what they have at the outlets is recreations of items from previous seasons. I like this! The only two things I got were a pair of white cafe capris for $25ish, and an adorable canvas type fabric mini which was blue with white polka dots for $25. They had many things on sale. 50% off cafe capris, for example. It was a good stop!

  41. EM: The outlet in Waterloo is good, I have been there and have always found great deals. Did you go the the J Crew is Syracuse? I am just wondering whether it is worth a trip, it is a small store and does not carry much.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thanks, Em--maybe I'll get out to Waterloo. The Carousel Center store (Syracuse) is the B&M closest to me. Indeed, it is small--they don't even carry cashmere. No shoes, either. So if you are near a larger one, I don't think it's worth a trip. If there is interest though, I would be happy to call the PS there and see if we can get an event going.
