Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. New promo. Sale stuff is mostly old and more expensive than it was months ago. Maybe if you’re lucky you’ll find a pop back.

  2. Agree. I loaded up my cart..then deleted all as I will not wear it until next year...or prices still higher than a mth or so ago.
I am finally getting tired of sale page.and really why not just do 40% off...the 30% with extra 10% is silly IMO.

  3. More of a vent, but stores make it so hard to shop. I ordered the pink corduroy skirt during one of the earlier promos (40% off). It finally arrived and fit well. I have some reward $ and would like to order the navy, but it was excluded from this promo and the last. Maybe it will be included in some future promo, or it could be excluded until spring when I won't want to wear it anymore. Oh well, needless to say I did not visit this past weekend.

  4. I picked up the SZ kitty dress, which I'm pretty sure is more expensive than it has been but it's a popback so letting it go... and a two piece bathing suit. The top is regular sale, the bottom is final. What the. I intend to try to return the bottom if the top doesn't fit, because why would I keep the bottom without a matching top? But the entire set came out to be less than $30, and I have a Caribbean vacation in December that I can shop for. Otherwise, there was nothing enticing in this promo. I tried to add a few new arrivals and all were excluded. Why bother?

    1. I've liked most of the SZ collab & that dress is really nice. Hope it works for you. As for exclusions, you might check with a store for ordering. I've found that items excluded online were actually eligible for promo if ordered in store.

  5. Woo hoo...J. Crew is reopening in the Natick Mall in Natick, MA. Double the size..Winter 2020...Never seen a store close in a mall and then reopen..any one know why they would do this? When they closed a few months ago it was defintely a permanent closure.

    2. I used to go to a J.Crew in Edison, NJ. I was told by a SA in Bridgewater that the Edison store would close. I checked with the Edison store and they confirmed this. Several months later I heard they were still open. I went and checked and they were open. They told me they had packed and shipped out everything and their shelves were empty. Then they heard they would remain open. A few months later they closed permanently. What is the cost of all of that?

    3. Malls and shopping centers are struggling so they may be making very favorable leases to keep occupancy full. I think it is wonderful to hear they are reopening stores!

    4. I was told when they remained open that the mall was worried about foot traffic but eventually they closed anyway. I'll be happy for RN once they actually open. I'll believe it when RN sees it, but what is the cost of shipping everything out and then shipping everything back? That must cost something for a company that wants to save money.

  6. Off topic.,, Tory Burch has 30 off event. Nordstrom has a lot of same prices.

  7. I received the embroidered high neck tunic dress. This is the one that comes in black and an olive green. It’s hideous. First off, it says there’s a zipper and I read through reviews. One reviewer said she couldn’t get it on due to lack of a zipper. Well, I checked every seam...no zipper. Not that it matters. It runs long and loose. The slip dress under is longer than the dress itself. It’s a very light cotton. Feels cheap, like something you would find at a street fair. Making sure I return it tomorrow. It’s bad.
I tried belting and it does nothing to enhance the shape.

    1. This was one of the few items I liked. I actually might not even buy anything from Crew this season. I bought white Supergas a week and a half ago on popback but I don’t even think that counts

  8. I ordered Collection cropped moto jacket in green. Love the color and it was eligible for promo in store. Hoping that it works.
