I will visit. Need to return the embroidered mockneck blouse in size XS. It fit beautifully, minus the feeling that my elbows would bust out any time I bent my arms. Also returning the square neck sweater with blouson sleeves. I could have worked with the short length, but the thick knit flattens my bust and I can't have that happening so back it goes.
ReplyDeleteI love the sweater with blouson sleeves. You are correct about it flattening the chest, but I like that look (I am small chested anyway) so the olive green was a win for me! LOL!
DeleteCheri - I can't remember did you get two sizes of the white blouse? My size medium arrived on Friday and I am not sure if I love it. It is very thin and I am wishing the neck were a little higher.

DeleteYes! Wound up keeping the small. That was the only item I wishlisted from that roll out, I realllly liked it. The xs fit better everywhere, except I felt like my elbows were going to bust through every time I bent my arms. The back especially is very thin. It fits in well with my wardrobe. Work pants, jeans, maxi skirts...What about yours?
That mockneck top has been so tempting but I bought the short sleeve embroidered one so I’ve been trying to refrain.
DeleteSo, code THATWORKS gives 25% off full-price items. Also, CARDLOVE gives 20% off full-price items...but they can't be combined. So why would anybody use CARDLOVE? And how is that a perk for Cardmembers?

ReplyDeleteI’m thinking about the new sock boots from Everlane. I really don’t need them though, I just think they’re cute.
I’m also thinking about another set of coveralls which of course I don’t need either.
Those boots from everlane look great, I hadn’t seen them before. Price is over $300 Canadian so I’ll try to forget about them lol

DeleteHaha, I’m not sure how I feel. It’s not cheap for fabric boots but if they’re comfortable and flattering it will be worth it. I love wearing all my heels throughout the cooler weather but life has gotten so much more casual again.

DeleteI got black, of course. I like the ivory but that seems totally impractical. I sold most of my other boots that were just too loud or didn’t get worn so I’m left with just a few.

DeleteI tried on the herringbone mockneck sweater. I sized down to an xs (normally a small). It's very cute but the neck was a little itchy for me. The rest of the sweater was ok. I left it behind for now but I am thinking about ordering it.

DeleteOrdered different sizes, so returning what I'm not keeping. Received cropped cashmere navy cardigan and fit is tts. Reviews are mixed, so I will see how the cashmere holds up. I have a couple of everyday cashmere tunic sweaters and they've worn well so far. Hope this one works too. Ordered leopard bomber sweater from Nordstorm since it popped back in my size and was on sale @ 40% off. That price is better than Anniversary Sale. Another reason I don't buy during the frenzy since most everything eventually shows back up. Also received Donegal long cardigan sweater in burgundy from Nordstrom (didn't see this on J Crew's site). Fit is tts & color is a very good option for fall/winter. I really like the long cardigan style and wish J Crew would offer them each season.

ReplyDeleteI visited - to return something I had to rebuy because they no longer honor price adjustments when there is a promotion. So it needs to go on sale sale not promo. I can't understand how this terrible CS is good business sense.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that I am contemplating at the moment is the No 2 Pencil in the Honey color, but it's not included in any promotions at the moment (although it was in the last round). Sign. With buying the Ornate Jungle top and skirt, am thinking the best thing to do is wait until the rewards hit my account and use that towards the skirt instead. I'm sort of interested in the drapey top in better silk but I'm not sure if it will be a shapeless mess given the lack of darts. I miss darts.
