Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. No visit to a bricks and mortar store for me, but I did place an order this morning. 30% off is not that great, but I've been curious about some of the pleated midi skirts and they are not final sale: Petite pleated midi skirt (L7548), Petite pleated midi skirt in shadow floral (AC761), Petite pull-on pleated midi skirt (L8561).

I think that they are all washable. Is such thing really possible?

  2. Off topic - The Madewell Fall Collection is available online now, and there is plenty to love! I've shared my picks in this post on my blog. :)

    1. I've been liking a lot more Madewell than J Crew lately. I love some of this new rollout, though not much that will be a good fit for me - as so much seems oversized. Still some cute plaids.

    2. bythelake - Yes, I agree with you about so many of the items being oversized, and that is really such a shame because I would order a lot more if the designs were a bit more tailored. Their jackets are usually a good fit for me, and the ones I have are all excellent quality.

    3. Happy Monday JCAs! Another off-topic, but wanted to share since I think many of you will enjoy this. We're talking tweed on my blog today, and the really interesting feature on the Boden website called 'Behind the Seams', which shares the history and inspiration behind Johnnie Boden's 'Tweed with a Twist'. Click here for the post.

  3. I have a question and wondering if anyone knows the answer. I bought a blouse using award credits and it's no bueno. I was wondering if I can exchange it in-store for something else or if I lose the credits. I returned an item once and was never given the credits back. The sales associate said is for one use only. Anyone here have experience with this?

    1. I’ve asked if sizing was inconsistent. I try to only use rewards for items I know will work because they don’t make it easy. Ask. Insist.

  4. Regarding the new return policy - I ordered a t shirt August 18, it arrived Aug 25, and I gave it to ups Sept 21. They treated it as outside the 30 day window - I assume because of the purchase date? And they not only gave me a gift card, they must have calculated some lowest price amount because it’s not what I paid. This seems crazy - should I protest?

    1. Ive heard varying stories about the return policy. One rep emailed me and said they must receive and process it in the 30 day window. I’m sure you know it takes a while before they get it and process it. You literally need to mail within a few days of receiving it if you want to ensure that they will refund you.

    2. $7.50 is deducted for shipping. They need to process the return within 30 days of the shipping date, and that can take two weeks. Assuming it takes up to a week to reach you - you'd best return it within a few days. Unless of course you can go to a store, which gives you a a full month and saves the $7.50

    3. That they include the processing time as part of the 30 days is preposterous. The details on the website say it may take 2 weeks to process, but my reading of this is that it must be returned within 30 days and the processing (getting the refund) may take an additional 2 weeks. Their policy does NOT say it must be returned AND processed within 30 days, so I think anyone that is denied a refund based on JC's slow processing schedule should be demanding the full refund, OR JC needs to update their policy guidelines on the website.

  5. You can start a return by selecting your order on the website. The instructions say you have to return it in 30 days, counting from rhe delivery date. So that gives you a couple of days extra.
