Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

    1. Yeah. I was in both retail and factory stores this past week. Meh. I walked away with some cords that I needed to replace but that's all. :/

Hoping next batch of arrivals are better/more exciting.

    1. I surely hope so - I am going to the clearance store this weekend & I would LOVE to have my "free money" before my trip!

    2. I have no inside knowledge, but based on past years I assume they'll be coming this week or next, with an expiration date of 12/15/14. However, the last couple of times I've gotten one they've extended the date to the 31st but I would NOT count on that. Last time they did that I got an e-mail about the extension the day after the reward would've expired.

  3. Some new markdowns this am online -- pinstripe sweatshirt for one, which nets less than $40 after "fallsale."

    1. Thanks for the heads-up! I tried this one on last week, and was so disappointed the fit was off for me. It's so cute in person.

    4. Ladies who were thinking about any of the floral sweatshirts including new arrivals and sweatpants, now is the time :):)

    5. I ordered the dutch floral sweatshirt and the one with the roses. I also ordered the cream t shirt with the black bow for about $20.00. I had been stalking the dutch floral sweatshirt so was glad to get it for a good price. I figure it will get marked down in the store this week. The store is very boring as some have stated above.

  4. I went, but was disappointed. The only thing I even tried on was the cocoon coat, which seemed shapeless on me even though I sized down.

The whole store felt depressing. Hope holiday rollout is more festive.

    2. I shop at the GSP store that gets all of the rollouts first, and so far, they have not "brought the festive." There is absolutely nothing that seems even vaguely reminiscent of holidays past. According to my VSP, tomorrow is the last holiday rollout, so I'm crossing my fingers. Will report back!

    3. ::sigh:: I was hoping that the final holiday rollout would be a wonderland of festive, cute clothes, but I came away with...another plaid shirt. And a cute, simple necklace.
There was a cute, ski-type sweater in red/blue/green/white/etc, but man, was it scratchy. You'd definitely have to layer it. There was also a very nice Aran sweater (comes in cream and blue, which I didn't see) that was still a sample. Super soft and not too short, but at over $200 (and not cashmere) it was a bit steep. Some cute t-shirts, but nothing that can't wait for another promotion.
I was there early, so all of the mannequins were still being dressed, but it seemed like the majority of them were wearing pajama bottoms, button down shirts, scarves and slippers. Most peculiar. All in all, completely underwhelmed. I hope you all feel differently.
I saw maisonkmv.blogspot.com (who I did not realize works for JCrew, so maybe she's got a better eye for these things than I do) in the store, so maybe she'll be posting some new photos on her website. Again, I hope that there's still more coming in and that things start to look a little more jolly!

  6. OT Did anyone get an email from Madewell about a 20% promo. It's not storewide, it was sent to me via email with a code to apply for online or store. One time use, and the coupon is good from 11/3-12/3. And it seems like you can order anything, there were no exclusions on leather or 3rd party brands. Might consider that motorcycle jacket...I don't really need it but... :-P

I wish Madewell does another promo with spend $200 and get 30% off. :(

    2. I did not get the Madewell email, either. If anyone who gets a code isn't going to use it, I would love to put it to good use. :)
