This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)
Stores still had the 50% off final sale. Lots of items in the sale area, exp. at the West Van store. Scored the Back-Zip Sandals.

OT, but I have been interested that J Crew has started carrying a new size: "000", which translates into a 23 inch waist. Yowser. I guess this is good news for women who are quite slender (and typical height), who may have a hard time finding clothes.
ReplyDeleteI'm startled only because I just bought one of my 11 y.o. daughters her first pair of Andies in size 00. She is just under 5 feet and 95 lbs, which is quite average for her age.
I'm just trying to imagine a woman of a typical adult height needing a skinnier size than my tween. Yikes!
I heard from Ema,that the 000 is made for the Ladies in Hong Kong.
Delete<----- See my profile picture, I promise that women of average height who need a 000 (I guess this is their way of dealing with vanity sizing) don't look strange!
DeleteWhat Steph said. I have pants from Jcrew that are everything from a 2 (circa early 2000's) to a 00 (current). I'm tallish but petite (slender boned I mean), I do get called skinny a bit here in the USA but when I visit my home country of Australia, I'm just normal. Vanity sizing really annoys me. A 000 is crazy! And the measurements they give online are not always accurate. When I buy european clothing, I'm always several sizes larger than I am in US sizing and their sizing is standardized. How good would it be if the rest of the world- it's not just US- could do that too!
DeleteIf anyone is looking for the Panama hat in blue, the Sacramento CA store had 3 as of this afternoon: 1 S/M and 2 M/L
ReplyDeleteEven with the 50% off I haven't been excited to visit my local B&M. The selection in the sale section there is so blah.
