This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.
So
if you have recently purchased,
or stopped by a J.Crew store to try
on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you
might be willing to share that
information with us in this post.
Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.
In
particular, if you could
mention a few of the noteworthy
details like fit, size, fabric, and the
like— that would be fantastic! Thanks
in advance! :)
Received the Metallic Suede Slingback Pumps in black pewter. They are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAlso have some reviews from my Sunday trip to JC on the blog.
The Andie chinos are on super-sale right now - I know way cheaper in-store than online but still a good deal online. I love these pants. I bought them in the dark grey in the regular length (I am 5'7") & they hit me right at the ankle. They're really soft & they wash well. I also bought the vibrant flame color - they're a softer shade than the normal vibrant flame you might be used to from the Crew. The grey I bought a size 8 & they're kind of loose but not annoyingly so (I am about 137 lbs) & the vibrant flame I bought a 6 - they fit better. I'm trying to stop myself from buying a few more pairs! They're a great casual chino yet not sloppy or boyfriend-style, which I think are kind of hard to find lately.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I've had a terrible time finding chinos that worked for me and I really like the Andies. The fabric is a good weigh and very soft. I like the wide waist band - flattering. I take a 4 in the campbell capris but the 6 was better for me in the Andies (5'5, 125)
DeleteI received two pairs of the Andie shorts yesterday and I think they are winners too! I'm not a big shorts fan but the silk leg on these makes them look much better than most other shorts. I live in a cooler climate so the longer length is good. Also, I can get away with wearing them to my office (paired with a nice top and heels) which gets very hot due to large windows and no AC.
oops "slim" not "silk"
DeleteJust ordered my first pair of these (in navy) and am now excited to get them. Hope they work as well for me!
DeleteI bought the olive one in store for $23 and they will be perfect for fall.

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if the washed chambray dress (A6236) is on sale in store? I like it, but only if it's on a decent sale:)

I also just came back from the store and tbought the lace shift dress for $50 and tried on the poover in california poppy, which is very nice!
Not really a review but...JC needs to keep up with their inventory. The second time in 2 weeks when my order can't be fulfilled!
ReplyDeleteAnd if anyone wants to order swim...go with your ACTUAL size based on your cup size! Like, I am fairly slim so I usually get xs or 0 in JC tops, but I have to get a Medium in swim tops.
A review of the on sale Sparkle Cardigan and not on sale Marc Alary Songbirds bracelet HERE
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried the J.Crew Culottes in Hibiscus Floral. I am normally a 6/8 and ordered them in an 8 today because it was the only one of my two sizes left. I am hoping them fit, but in most J.Crew pants I generally wear a 6. Any input would be appreciated.
