Yes, I need to return a keeper chambray shirt. I got it in PXXS and it's too big for me! I'll try to see if I find one in the girls' department. It's weird because jackets and tippis are fine for me, the smaller sizes even too small sometimes.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, the one dress I like Manuela crepe dress is almost $300 and is POLYESTER. I am not against wearing poly but for that price crazy stupid. Not a fan of JCrew right now!

ReplyDeleteIf your store has an addtl 50% off, it will be helpful to list the store name. Someone shared that Princeton NJ has addtl 50% off final sale yesterday. The stores near me have all still had addtl 40% off. Still going today, I should add.

ReplyDeleteMy store was still having 40% off, and I saw the perforated metallic cleos and the Suede metallic Cleos marked down to $89.99 minus 40% off. Tons of chino shorts marked down to $29.99 minus 40% off.

Deletecc - My vps happily matches in-store prices & promos. It seems like they are now able to look at in-store prices. Overall, J Crew has gotten more match friendly, so I think you'll be able to get it done.

ReplyDeleteWent to crewlet to do a few returns. They had a new dress....Derby dress in royal blue/white stripe. Really cute! I sized up bec it ran small on me. 30%off plus I had 20% off coupon and came to $50 and change.

DeleteI've had good experiences with SAs in store applying the 40% (or current percent off) to on-line items. If I call or (if I can) go in the store and request the specific item(s) and mention that I saw them on-line, they've been awesome about ordering them for me and applying the percent off (with free shipping). Keeps me coming back! The drawback of course is that if it is a rare or coveted item, by the time I make the call or visit, the item has been bought by someone else. And so it goes : ) HTH!

The pants have a seam down the front and fit strange...tight on calves ? the dress...well who are they fitting for these dresses ? the porportions are so off....too much material under the arm...too short...too deep of a slit neck ??? just so off its comical.
linen drapey drawstring pants #A7090...nice in the iris color but really baggy in the front...too PJ like but would by on super super sale for a song to wear only at home.

I wanted to mentio the antique floral print....well the discriptive word "antique" ...IRL the word would be "old" it is muted in colors ....rather dull in sheen and just looks OLD .... not antique which only sounds better.... but it is dull for a J crew
DeleteWent yesterday to the Lincoln Park Chicago store...it was pretty quiet, with not much on sale. The sale rack was pretty bad. That said, I did pick up a Vintage tee for 30% off. Only the scoopnecks are supposed to be on sale but this one seems like a V, which is what I had wanted. Anyway, I returned the skinny zipper pants. J.Crew pants are just not doing it for me anymore. I don't know if they changed their sizes but they're all too big or too small or too short...especially compared to Madewell.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with your assessment of J Crew pants. It is extraordinarily disappointing. I would love to have some full length options in the cute colors and styles of the one billion capri or cropped versions that abound. And how many times is one size too large and the next size down too small? Really? And if I chance it and hope it shrinks- it won't- or hope it stretches- it doesn't. I just seem to be stuck in J Crew in-between size purgatory.

DeleteMy store (Short Hills, NJ) had 50% off sale and honored 15% teacher discount, I got the patio skirt and seersucker puff sleeve blazer for $85 total (forget the breakdown). This store had a ton of sale - more than I have ever seen.
