"Looking to VENT" with J.Crew

This is the weekly "Looking to VENT with J.Crew" post, a place to share our not-so-stellar experiences with J.Crew.

If you have recently experienced a frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

  1. There are a million capri styles, but where are the Full. Length. Pants?

    1. I sent an email to J.Crew about this in April:
      Please bring back an updated version of your everyday chino or heritage chino. Capris are nice and your always backordered Bristol trousers are great, but where are the pants that are in between capris and at work trouser pants?
      Also it's great to see casual dresses in Tall, but why so few casual dresses with short sleeves?

      JC Response: I'm glad you like our Capris and Bristol trousers, but I can understand that a nice middle ground would be perfect and I'm happy to share your thoughts with the rest of the team. As for our casual dresses, we're still in that between period of spring and summer, so that little bit extra can keep your arms warmer on the colder (or rainier) days.

    2. st... Thanks for sharing your note to J Crew and their response! Lame J Crew, lame. Is a full length (middle ground) pant that unusual a concept that you have to share the thought with the team (it should be obvious). And a short sleeve dress is awesome and a very basic concept as well. If one gets chilled, one can wear a cardigan. Hmph!

  2. Exchanged a pair of ONLINE ONLY shoes and was charged return shipping and shipping to get the item back to me!! Seriously?

    1. Robyn - They might not refund the return, but they shouldn't have charged you shipping for the re-order, per their policy. I'd follow up via email or phone about getting a credit for that.

  3. Will J.Crew Factory take back a pair of shorts (tags still attached) that I bought in February? I don't care if I get a gift card for them; I just know I won't wear them so I'd like to get my money back if at all possible. TIA!

  4. I thought it was a mistake when I was poking around online and saw size '000'...I spoke with the Associates at the store today who confirmed that, sadly,m it is not an error! Size 000? Really....
