Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new FALL arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. I stopped by the Las Vegas location this weekend.

The Tillary purse is now down to $59.99 in stores. I picked up one in brilliant purple. On Saturday night, there was at least one in every color left. See post here: http://thepetitefittingroom.blogspot.com/2012/09/tillary-purse-reduced-even-more.html

Also, the two-tone leather belt is down to $14.99 in stores. See post here: http://thepetitefittingroom.blogspot.com/2012/09/j-crew-two-tone-leather-belt.html

  2. Sweaters were 25% off, cashmere included. Sale section in the Robson store was quite large. Lots of snake print and multicolor tweed pencil skirts, cafe capri in silky dot, navy tweed jacket.

  3. I visited the Grove in Shrewsbury, NJ this weekend, and they had a number of Zebra Blouses($29.99- but I think they ran small in the arms/shoulders) and striped Tippi sweaters left. They also had a few Leopard Scarves available and I saw 2 Edie (Grand, I believe) Colorblock bags . The sale section was relatively large, but nothing was tempting enough to buy...

  4. I did, and picked up the Tippi in Crushed Grape. Gorgeous! I do have a question about sizing. Anybody who has this sweater, did you need to size up? The arms were uncomfortably tight but the body fits perfectly. Please tell me they are going to stretch out, or I really need to take another trip to the store to exchange for the XS.

    1. I am between sizes XXS and XS in the Tippis. I like XXS in the polka dot Tippi but XS in solids, mainly due to the super-tight arms. I purchased an XS turquoise pool this weekend but have yet to wear it. I found that some XS's fit slimmer than others, so perhaps some XXS's will also fit slightly looser?

  5. I went to the Georgetown DC location today and spotted the following:

Cafe capri in wool: retro jade @ $49.99 compared to $89.99 online, modern red @$69.99 vs $98 online

Rugby striped boatneck top @$19.99 vs $34.99 online

  6. Visited the Palm Beach Gardens store Friday evening and was able to take home the bennett chinos in snowcat, in the correct size. [Backstory: I'd ordered them during the most recent 30% off sale promo and it finally happened to me...they sent the wrong size and of course when I called CS they were all sold out.]
Back to the snowcat chinos...the cut is really flattering, 10x more so than the cafe capris, at least on my figure. The SA honored the 30% discount on the pants and on the linen sparkle scoopneck sweater I purchased as well.

  11. I went on Friday, but I am eagerly anticipating the next batch of new arrivals, especially the double serge hacking jacket.

The long silk twill scarves, which don't seem to be available online right now, were marked down to $19.99. They had a blue floral print and a leopard print. Got both!
