Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new FALL arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  2. I *did* visit this weekend and got the zigzag tee and something else I will reveal later in the week.

Retail & factory picks for the LOVEIT promo in this post. I recently visited a J'Crewlet and will post irl photos soon. In the meantime, I shared some fit info.

  3. I got the new October catalog in the mail on Friday there is not a single thing in it that would make me want to go to the store! I don't think I've ever been more disappointed in fall offerings in my 12 year history of buying with J Crew

    1. Went to my local store and felt the same way. Nothing I loved and certainly not at FP.

The fall collection is seriously all over the place. I really hope they get it together for spring, the lack of love is making me sad!!

  4. I ended up in store for a return and bought the olive color in the Snowcap Quilted Jacket. Now I have to decide which to keep, olive or red... I can't decide. Anyone else have either color or have an opinion?

    1. I personally love olive and think it's a good fall color.

    2. Thanks Greta, me too. I'm so excited that J. Crew is doing a true red for a change and I think that's clouding my thinking about which color to buy.

  5. I am with you, Genny. So disappointed. I was in the mood to buy a lot until I saw it. I hope this is a temporary blip in their planning after losing Marissa Webb, but somehow I doubt it.

  6. Thanks for the coupon code. I got the printed snow leopard pants (marked down to $74.99) and used my $25 rewards card and got them for $49.

  7. cate,
That is a hard one. I love both olive and red and have lots of those colors in my wardrobe. If the red is a true red, I would keep it as technically red is a neutral and really goes with everything and would be a nice pop of color for daily wear. If you plan on wearing the vest more for outside activities though I would go with the olive.

    1. It is a true red, a rarity with J. Crew lately. Thanks Genny!

  8. Well, I got the new catalog. And no, I didn't go to the B&M this weekend. It's not that I didn't go shopping and spend money, just not at JC.

  9. @ (original)Genny re: the October Style Guide...I think J.Crew needs to hire GOOP's styling team to help make sense of the Fall rollout. I wasn't feeling anything until I saw how it looked on G. Seems like they're chasing trends so hard that they've lost their identity along the way.

  10. I was in store for a return. Didn't buy anything, but saw markdowns of things still FP online: colorblock top 79.99, cheetah brocade dress 99.99, sandwash silk long sleeve top 59.99, light turquoise, pink tippi cardigans 39.99, kelly green tippis 39.99 (but covered in pills!!).

    1. Wow the cheetah brocade dress was already on sale at the stores?! That was fast. It must've not been selling.

    2. Oddly, it was still FP at the Rock Center store but marked down to 99.99 at the Columbus Circle store...a whole rack of them. A lot of the gold threads were already coming loose, so maybe they decided to write them off as a "mistake"?

  11. I was at the beach this weekend and popped in to the JC at Mayfaire. All I bought was a sale-priced FACE Stockholm nail polish, a polka-dot Baggu bag and a small spray of a Caudalie fragrance ... omg it smells SO GOOD I wish I could bathe in it! Unfortunately it's an eau fraiche so it doesn't last very long. I hope to find it in an EDP someday, sigh ...

They had a few things in the sale section but they were not doing extra 30% off, so I didn't bite.

  12. I called the Columbus Circle store yesterday and was told that there were only 2s and 4s. Boo! I was SO excited.
