This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopping
by a J.Crew store this weekend to see
what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in
person, maybe you might be
willing to share that with us in this
post. In particular, if you could
share with us a few of the
noteworthy items that are available, at
what prices, and potential sizes
the store is carrying (as well
as the store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also,
please let us know if your local store is
carrying an additional percent
off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S.
I noticed that many of
you have already been reporting sale
items (and in which stores) in
other posts which by the way "thank
you!" :) I really appreciate how
helpful we are for each other!
I was by Rockefeller Center yesterday and popped in for a quick look. Everything still looked very basic with washed out colors. Did not see anything summery - still spring. The only things that stopped me in my tracks turned out to be Liberty prints because they actually had personality and were colorful, but I didn't love any of the fabrics I felt. The sale section didn't have any addl % off. Sale shoes were all sandals.
ReplyDeleteUnrelatedly, my neighborhood is getting a JC Factory! The street is becoming a magnet for outlet stores - we already have a Gap Outlet, BR Outlet and Ann Taylor Outlet, so a JC Factory fits right in. I admittedly haven't been inside a JC Factory in 20? years when my family used to make annual trips to outlet malls. I don't peruse the site either. How are brick and mortar JC Factory stores now? Is it all Factory-branded stuff or do you still get the occasional regular JC deadstock or lost warehouse stuff that show up?
I'm no longer shopping at J.Crew. It's just not for me these days with the colors, shapes, quality, etc. I've never shopped Factory. Is that the same as J.Crew Mercantile? I never knew the difference. I am glad that I have the nice things I kept that I purchased from them through the years, but the relationship is no more.
ReplyDeleteI haven’t bought anything from jcrew in a month, and the last thing I bought was a bunch of white perfect turtlenecks for me and my daughters. I noticed a few styles I like at banana republic and in the FB group BR factory was mentioned. I tried a few pairs of pants and the quality and fabrication is comparable to what I’ve bought at JCrew but the shapes seem to work better on me. Tencel seems to be everywhere these days and I’m unsure how it will wash— I’ve had some Everlane tencel that washes well but have had other pieces that disintegrate after one wash.
ReplyDeleteThat said I did a little research and found high rise, wide leg pleated trousers in tencel/Lyocell ranging in price from $30 from banana republic factory, $80 from Gap to $100/120 from Everlane and $500-1000 from more designer brands…

ReplyDeleteyes its sad but i dont shop at any j crew company now. theast thing i purchased in quite some time was the liberty notecards. theyre cute. clothes are no thank you now. so sad
ReplyDeleteI actually bought item BF214, the Copenhagen shoulder bag in croc-embossed leather, since the price is only around $43. It's my first J.Crew handbag purchase so we'll see how that goes. I also ordered the slim perfect t-shirt in stripe, item BF362. I actually like the striped colors and I noticed that one or two of the reviews states they're longer than the solid colors. Of course this year the solid colors are shorter than last year. Another way to ruin a great basic.
