Lots of crop tops. They must save a lot of money with the cropped pants and tops. I like the madras baseball cap BH139 and the Cotton sweater in checkered stitch BG932. Both of these are in the Men's section. I like the summer garden floral print and the indigo patchwork print of the Puff-sleeve wrap top BI760, but once again, why so many puff or flutter sleeves? I'll probably get the Sculptural spiral drop earrings BI300.
ReplyDeleteIf you like madras cap I would suggest looking in store if you can or order multiple. Each cap is different and you will want to look at a few to find your favorite color placement.

I bought the Collection A-line skirt in champagne leather, Item BG166
It’s lovely, leather is lien butter and fully lined. TTS! Not tight but it’s way passed my knees. Little long! No clue for shoes! It’s very pretty!!! I bought it in some super sale with points but I am lost with it

I went in the store last week and I found the women’s offerings downright depressing. Questionable fabrics, bland color palette and limited prints, aside, It’s the styles and lack of options…they have leaned so hard into smocking, cutouts, backless and crop tops. JCrew historically designed pieces that looked great on all ages/shapes/sizes. It seems this design team only wants to design for the young, thin and perky (braless). I get that that this season’s “it” styles are challenging for those of us who are a bit older but other retailers can still figure out how to cut a dress that looks good on most. I can’t help but think they are going to use this seasons sales metrics as a reason to cut extended sizes.
ReplyDeleteI also wonder how the men’s offerings seem to have remained more consistent/true to the brand despite designer changes. Why can’t we get some of the fabrics they are using on the men’s side? I’m also really loving some of the madras pieces.
