Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Sezane lovers: Trinny Woodall was wearing this top for her FRIDAY twinning episode today. I don’t always love her outfits but I do find her entertaining. This shirt does remind me of some recent JCrew styles.

    2. I’m tempted to try her makeup too, but I’m trying to use up some of what I have first.

  2. I’m glad I don’t really “need” anything because as soon as I find something to put in my cart it seems to disappear. I don’t know if things are selling out that quickly or if it’s website issues. I am trying to remember to put things in save for later because it seems they don’t disappear as readily, at least they say “out of stock.”

  3. No J Crew this week for me, but I am really hopeful about next season based on Shopping Celle’s and Lynn’s intel on new arrivals. Esp cashmere in new colors. Every year, as soon as July 4th is over, my brain ms to be off and running to fall clothes!

Speaking of J Crew cashmere, I’ve had really good luck finding beautiful, artisan accessories (natural fibers) and jewelry (real stones) in the Sundance Catalog. There are vibrant colors that pair well with J Crew colors, esp featherweight cashmere. The mountain boho vibe of the clothes is not for everyone (including me), but every time I wear a scarf, jewelry, boots etc. from Sundance, often mixed w J Crew, I get stopped in the street w inquiries about where I got them.

  4. I did a walk by of my store yesterday. The only thing of interest was the Ratti compass print dress and halter top. Both are a weird fit for me so I skipped. I wish they would release a skirt in this print. I think I said this before. My store had 25% off certain regular and 50% off sale. I did not walk through sale racks.

  5. I stopped by my store yesterday for a return (smocked skirt and vintage tanks). I was able to see the one dress from the last rollout that interested me. The dress is AZ812 the button front dress in English garden. It’s completely see though in the white spaces of the floral print. I wouldn’t feel comfortable without a slip. Not sure that’s worth the effort of this dress. Hoping for better items with the new designer!

    1. Liz, I agree. Same with the smocked Ratti print dress. Why make the chest area unlined and see through? Such a waste of a beautiful pattern.

  6. Big everlane sale. Not a ton of fun stuff but I might grab a few things. Some parkas are reduced to 79 from 198.

    1. Ended up getting my husband two pairs of tech shorts, two hemp/cotton henleys, a short sleeve polo/sweater without buttons, two pairs of lounge pants, seersucker dock pants and a slim chambray shirt. Spent about $200 and that’s basically a warm weather weekend/lounge wardrobe for him. He’s got a lot of clothes but wears only a few things most of the time.

    2. Nothing for me though. I have a few things in my saved for later but nothing I must have. Didn’t even order anything from everlane—yet. Contemplating a few things.

I did pick up short sleeve cashmere in mint and seersucker shirt in natural stripe!
My daughter is toying with the Riley sandals in suede with glitter sole Item AE925. So if she decides on size I may get them. She is 9.5 or 10… thinking of 10.5 so she has the width ….

    6. thank you for the heads up Kate! I popped over and got an extra pair of the short sleeve pajamas ($22!), and the midi in vintage plaid (AW497) for $24. Couldn't talk my husband into the Wallace and Barnes chore blazer which was under $50...contemplated getting one in navy for myself but not sure of my men's blazer size (36?)I should pop into a Kohls and try on some men's blazers sometime - I'm tall so sleeve length is usually not a problem.

  8. Cheri, I'll let you know! :) I've also been eyeing that skirt since it was a new rollout but it looked tight on the model's waist in the photo, and also they did not list the length in the description so I held off. Someone here - I think Liz, tried it when it was new but now I can't remember what she said about it... Kate the PJ tops do wrinkle, I take them out of the washer and smooth them out and hang to dry and then they look presentable. they are such soft, cool cotton and so nice in Summer. Of course, my pair is about 3 yrs old maybe the newer ones are not as nice.
