  1. I picked up a few bathing suits for my kids during the sale earlier this week. Today, I picked up a Camille sweater blazer. I have shoulder problems and earlier this week I tried to wear a blazer and it was not a good idea. So, my Ella sweaters and hopefully now the Camille will be great toppers for me this fall and winter. Not sure what I will do when coat season comes! Hopefully my shoulders will be improved by then.

    1. I also have a shoulder mobility issue which is why I can’t do all my side zips (right shoulder, left zippers). Did you say you had surgery or what that someone else. Hope it heals quickly. This is one of the reasons I buy my coats and blazers a little bigger. I am very uncomfortable when the shoulders and upper back are too tight.

    2. Hi Suz! Sorry to hear you have mobility issues too. Yes, I had surgery this spring on the right but hoping to avoid surgery on the left. The left doesn’t seem to be as bad so here’s hoping just physical therapy works. I remember someone shared some you tube video tutorial for some stretching or training and I can’t remember. Will have to go and look again and give it a try.

  2. Hi Liz, so sorry to hear about your shoulder problem. I tore a rotator cuff and the pain was excruciating and it was so difficult to put anything on. I hope whatever issues you have they heal soon. In other news did you see my post about the new Sezane x G. Kero? She also has her own brand. Beautiful items. Have a nice upcoming weekend and feel better soon.

  3. OT but does anyone have Judi Rosen jeans or pants? I am late to the game but with my current high rise pant obsession while I was researching Kamm pants I found her and she’s got a NY boutique and a cult following. (I found an older NY magazine article that talks about her jeans). I was thinking I’d treat myself and picked out what I wanted to try and last night they went on sale and my size is the only size available. Not sure I can make it into the city but not sure it’s wise to not try them on first (even if the measurements are the same as my Kamm pants—they did give me all the measurements).

  4. Posting a surprise love today! I was able to take a sneak peek at Jcrew for holiday. It looks like color is back which is wonderful after the muted shades we’ve had all summer. The pieces that are coming in the next rollout of July 27th are starting to be from the new women’s wear designer but Holiday will be full on from the new designer. I wish I had a photographic memory but a few pieces stood out. There was shot of a rack of hanging clothes featuring a dress(?) in a gorgeous floral print in rich saturated colors. There looks to be a new blazer (might be a coat) with ivory background and red and blue plaid. The other thing that jumped out to me was a blue sweater, or maybe it was a blouse, that had marabou feather cuffs and looked fantastic. Hope this makes everyone’s day!

    5. This is certainly good news! I didn't know if the new designer was responsible for the spring/summer collection, but I was not excited about it. I hope the fabrics are nice, and I would be so happy if the shoes returned to the quality they used to be when the were all leather and Made in Italy. Too much to ask?

    8. @fleur de lays, Are you in the NL now? Asking because of the terrible floods which occurred in Germany, Belgium, NL and several other countries. Hope anyone who has relatives in these countries are safe.

    10. @fleur de lys, good to know. I was concerned for all. I like both countries pure presently traveling in. I’ve posted before about doing a lot of business in Norway. I love the land I’d the Midnight Sun. Got a lot of use from my Jcrew cashmere sweaters and scarves. Have a difficult time falling asleep though in summer! Enjoy your travels.

  5. @Shoppingcelle, Thanks for posting. I received an update from a store manager again this morning about this rollout. She also told me that Jcrew is going back to old Jcrew classic styles. There should be red items, lots of green, blues, etc. Did you happen to see any red or the new cashmere featherweight colors? Hopefully there will be a return to some beautiful items. Quality will be my main concern. Thanks again and have a great day! Always look forward to you posts

    1. I did not see any specific cashmere but colors were jewel tone. I am hopeful about the quality and stylishness! If Jcrew wants to go fast fashion, I hope the at least keep the higher quality collection line to satisfy us!

    2. I saw a partial paid news article on fortune.com’ s website regarding where the CEO of J.Crew Is leaning towards bringing back the prep look in order to win back its once loyal customer base. I don’t have a reader to pull the complete article so perhaps someone that does could post a link here. Makes sense to most of us here. Hoping for the best. Have a nice day all!
