Over 5,600 items in women’s sale. Looks like perhaps the liquidation didn’t happen. Happy shopping!
ReplyDelete93 pages!!! There was a lot of junk to sort through, and my hopes were dashed a few times seeing quality items pop back only to find they were the wrong size (looking at you, Gemma flats, Italian Dulci heels and Italian cashmere). I also bought 3 pairs of Ceces before realizing they were the new version, whoops! I definjtely indulged in sale goggles but it’s all returnable and hopefully if sale goes on sale with a promo later this week it will be eligible for PAs for further reductions, too.
DeleteNOT FALLING FOR IT!!! Nope. Not looking. Nope. (But happy shopping to those who do!)
DeleteI cannot believe they have been sitting on this much old inventory.
Delete@eeps Exactly! I’m embarrassed to say but I’ve been checking for a few of these items daily since The Purge, so I know they weren’t there before today. Somebody, somewhere took all this stuff offline when customers still wanted it in January, and then chose a day 8+ weeks later to bring it back?
DeleteAnyway, my brief flash of excitement at seeing the old items I wanted quickly changed to “Meh” when I saw my sizes weren’t available anyway. Prices for some items were good and I would have purchased if sizes were there, but other items seemed way overpriced, especially the older items.
Cardlove can't be combined with retailmenot code anymore?
ReplyDeleteI just tried it and "cardlove" gave me the 20% off but I couldn't stack with the retailmenot code.
DeleteThe combo has not worked for me since my last order on yesterday, although it may have stopped working before then. I have tried every way I know how to make it work!
DeleteI don't even know where to start! So many pages of sale
ReplyDeleteBut nothing off sale items!! Will wait for off.... don’t need anything but definitely browsing....lol
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or did anyone else see a change in their rewards amount???
ReplyDeleteI thought I hallucinated this morning when I saw that update. I even refreshed my browser. It took 2 hours of scrolling between getting ready for work, eating breakfast and walking to the train to get through about 70 pages and then I gave up. Really grateful I’m not most of these lucky sizes or I’d be in serious trouble. As it was, I had to pare down from 8 items to 4 and then a second order of 2. I feel like everything I’ve bought in the past 3 years came back to haunt me!
ReplyDeleteNothing for me, the prices are prohibitive. I would have pounced on wool or chino maddies in my size.
ReplyDeleteI did pick up the $6.99 tri-color stacked circle elastic bracelet for my co-worker. She always admires mine and we do a gift exchange with the entire office so I'll give her that at our holiday party.
I cringed at most of the prices -- triple or more what I spent on the same items a year or two ago when they were on sale.
DeleteOh my goodness the pink tweet flats are available in my size but I don't need another pair of flats...
ReplyDeleteI ordered a couple things-- H7201 and K5305. I've been buying fewer things generally, and these are two pieces I've been interested in for a while.
ReplyDeleteIt was so overwhelming trying to look at everything and there was a lot of regular price stuff clogging up the pages as well. I did purchase a few things that I was willing to pay the prices for - hoping for perhaps a % off sale to get an extra off in the next week but I'm ok if that doesn't happen - I feel I purchased items I'll wear. We'll see. Used the 20% cardlove code. I got a grey merino sweater blazer, ivory silk Carrie cami, grey wrap bodysuit, a pair of jeans and a grey cocoon coat - the older style with the functional pockets. Even for $120 I know I'll wear that coat and will be thrilled if it actually ships to have the older style with the pockets. But I still wonder - WHERE HAS THIS STUFF BEEN HIDING?
ReplyDeleteI did the same, just a few items that I will keep at the price, but hoping for a future adjustment. The ruffle sleeve cashmere sweater in navy/tan, a skinny navy belt for $7, a tissue turtleneck for $6 , two tank tops at $4 etc.
DeleteOh, and I was finally after 7months able to call CS and get a replacement for my red patent ballet block heel pumps that were shipped with two different size shoes. The price I paid was less than 1/3 of current, but they honored it. If you had any cancelled items that are available now you might want to call.
Oh that’s great!
DeleteI managed to avoid the sales temptations but I did buy the ruffle neck eyelet top that popped back in my size as Canada has been sold out of it for a while. Also picked up some crewcuts items from the daily deals the other day.
ReplyDeleteNothing for me this time around. The inexpensive jeans I ordered last week are going back. I couldn’t resist the price but the cut doesn’t work for me.
ReplyDeleteI did however get another Everlane order. The bone carpenter pants are so flattering. I initially thought I wanted them looser but my smaller pant size fits really well. These are all cotton, nice weight but not too heavy. They will be great in the summer but can be worn year round with ankle boots. Unfortunately the utility jacket isn’t as flattering. The adjustable cord inside the waist is very high so it looks odd cinched, but without it is just very boxy. Pics on IG @ wearthislikethis
Pants look like a perfect summer pair. Sure you will find a less utilitarian utility jacket. Agree the waist is high.
DeleteThanks P. I don’t even know what kind of jacket to look for. Blazers aren’t right, I tried a few. I find denim jackets too boxy, the chore denim/cotton twill jackets from Jcrew and also Everlane look too swingy and cropped. My trench coats are a little dressier than I normally need.
DeleteThe pants are great! I agree that the jacket is boxy. I also think it looks quite visually heavy without any visible snaps, etc., to break up the all black front. Although I was initially leary of the brass snaps on my downtown field jacket, I now realize it adds visual interest and a bit of definition. I agree with pbanos, you just need a less utilitarian utility jacket. Maybe something a titch longer to reduce the boxy factor?
DeleteThank you. I actually tried on my black Everlane trench and my army green Jcrew military trench. Both work with these and my black wide leg crops/chinos. They are a little dressier, but so what, right? They do look good and they elevate the outfits a little. Why not get use out of them. Problem solved and money saved.
DeleteKeeping the carpenter pants and returning the black jacket.
I also have three of the Jcrew Excursion vests if I need a more casual option.
@Suz Shop that closet! You can always buy another jacket later if you’re really not happy with your current “inventory.”
Delete@shopgrrrl, well that was fast. I decided to add the denim trench to my collection . Let’s hope it ships,
DeleteHave no idea where JC has been storing all this inventory, but I found some gems this morning. I ordered Italian cashmere ribbed turtleneck ($34) and an Italian cashmere featherweight boyfriend sweater in black ($19). I love the Italian cashmere and happy to score some basics that I’ll wear next winter. Also ordered Stubbs and Wooten Celebrate loafers. Stores started a new promo today with 30% off your purchase, including sale. If you spend $200 or more, you’ll save 40% off. Plus you can stack 20% off with J Crew card. I called CS for PAs and they honored. Both sweaters and the shoes were just over $100. Sweaters have already shipped.
ReplyDeleteSigh...the celebrate loafers are the first thing I looked for this morning when I saw the Sale update, but I was too late (assuming my size actually ever popped back). Lucky you!
DeleteJ. Crew is apparently consulting bankruptcy lawyers again....

I fear another cycle of deep discounting by J. Crew and excessive stockpiling by me
Same.
DeleteThe stockpiling will happen as soon as the deep discounts do.
And same.
DeleteI placed a large order and an additional small one this morning. So worried that they're going to go out of business. I have enough clothes to last me until I die but still always want new things.
@shopalot “I have enough clothes to last me until I die but still always want new things.” Ha ha...Story.Of.My.Life.
DeleteSadly, I'm in line right behind you all...every time I think (know!) that I don't need one more thing to stuff in my closet, there is a major sale. I'm not complaining
DeleteI purchased the Harper backpack in black and it looks lovelier in person. It's just the right size for me to carry my stuff around without hurting my shoulders. I was surprised it was shipped and delivered in less than a week. I even contacted customer service on a price adjustment, and they responded within a day with happy results.
