I don't want to be horribly negative, but even with this amazing promo, I literally can't find anything! Where are the sweaters and beautiful holiday skirts? By this time previous years I'd be plotting how to get the best price on a list of pencil skirts.

I am away and placed two orders before I left, but just placed another order for the new cable knit/fair isle sweater—hoping the design is red and black, not navy. I also re ordered some of what I ordered the other day and asked for a PA for some items. Hey, it all adds up. Last year I remember the cyber Monday deal was better than almost any other promo until after the holidays.

DeleteJust went to the website to check for sale updates ... WHY does the male model in the “Men’s Sweaters” link on the landing page have to be biting his fair isle? It looks so stupid - is this attractive to anyone? Turned me off (I’m starting to not recognize this brand anymore) and went to Cuyana for cashmere. Hope you all find great deals today!
ReplyDeleteI did not venture out to the store this weekend but planned to place an order. Everything is either sold out in my size or exempt from the promo. I realize that updates to the sale section usually do not occur on the weekend, and especially on a holiday one, but a restock would have been so nice today.

DeleteSo the factory items are 60% off for Cyber Monday when most were 50% for Black Friday. Pretty annoyed that both my retail order and factory order are cheaper today. Granted not a ton of dollars per item but it adds up! This is the first time I placed an appreciable order in a while I still feel like I got good deals it is frustrating to see the same items cheaper. I know I can ask for price adjustments but it is a pain.
ReplyDeleteI did not visit over the weekend but did reorder the black watch Marties and the paisley silk pants in the tall length. Glad I pulled the trigger Saturday since the tall plaid Marties are now sold out. I received my original order for the plaid Marties on Friday and my usual size was a tad small in the waist and short in the length...(may have been too much pie :)) Hoping the tall will give me the extra room I need.
ReplyDeleteI was also a little disappointed in the sale section and there really is not a lot that I need to have at this point. Glad I ordered at the beginning of last week's promo when everything was included, now we're back to the regular exclusions. The only thing I may order are the high rise jeans in black, I have been wearing my Prescott wash high rise jeans like crazy.
I ordered the black watch Marties and was on the fence about the paisley silk pants since I couldn't find any reviews. Also couldn't think what would match the paisley pants other than a black top. Can I trouble you for model pics on IG?
Deleteeeps, when I get my tall pair, I will post photos. I did some video reviews on my Insta story but spaced on taking actual photos. The paisley is blue/white/red/yellow - I'm not sure I would pair yellow or red with them but maybe a blue/turquoise top or a neutral top with colored shoes. With a 26" inseam on the regular length, they were too short on me (I'm 5'8"), but my regular pants size was good, if a tad tight so didn't need to size down due to the pull on nature of the pants. I wasn't sure I was going to like them - the print up close is a bit much but they look a lot better from a distance.

It's super great that the site doesn't work properly 15 minutes before the x10% expires. You'd think they would have all their tech support on call on a day like today. Of all things, the shopping bag page doesn't load. How is this even possible on CM?!

DeleteI placed my order at 11:40 or so and the website bugged out - couldn't tell if my order went through and then I couldn't sign in to see. I called and CS confirmed it had gone through but it took about an hour to get my email confirmation. I ended up with the black high rise jeans, lambswool cable sweater in heather cilantro and a calf hair belt.

I ordered the cable sweater(Item H4386), too, in heather nickle. I can't speak to the length, but the product description is confusing. I called CS and was told that the sweater is a blend as indicated in the bullet points and that it is hand wash. This works for me, but may not work for someone wanting a sweater that is 100% lambswool.
DeleteJan, I'm not sure, I haven't seen it in person, 21" is definitely short so we'll see how it is. I was between the black and charcoal jeans, I couldn't decide. For the sweater, the description on the website says 100% lambswool yet the detail below says cotton/nylon/merino. How tough is it to get these descriptions right? I'll report back when I get it or when I go to the store next weekend, whichever comes first!

ReplyDeleteHi Lindsey-3rd party brands aren’t usually included in promos. Unless it’s Spring or Summer and no one’s buying it, then it’ll go on sale or they ordered a lot and needed to get rid of stock by spring...

DeleteI visited the store with over the weekend to pick up an online order and see the new arrivals. I purchased the silk paisley pants - love at first sight! They didn't have my size in stock so I ordered online. I also tried the top and I'm debating on whether or not to purchase it. I tried them on together; however I probably won't wear them together- too much print for me. I did receive compliments in the dressing room. My sister did point out to me that a few pairs were frayed on the edges.
ReplyDeleteI caught the drapery top in green on pop back and got confirmation that it shipped! Hope it fits ok, I took a chance and ordered my normal size. That along with the white ruffled turtleneck are on their way.
I also like the new Jacquard skirt from Factory and for $35, may order tonight.
The mall was very quiet. Thank went to two separate malls over the weekend and it was really sparse on Sunday. Thank I've seen it more packed on a regular non holiday weekend. I guess everyone really is showing online now.
Hopefully the ecommerce and web site won't have any more issues. I also had trouble starting around 9:30/10 am Central.

ReplyDeleteThe crew got me again today. I attribute it to crazy almost overdue preggo brain. I just want to wear regular clothes! Anyways I got the lace pleated top, tie back tops in red and stripe, penny top in black and navy silk, and the Eiffel tour tee. Not all of that will work so I anticipate returns. I also scooped up 2 tops at Kate Spade with 40% off sale. It’s final sale but I know the fit of that brand so well so I’m confident in my purchase (it’s nice to know that sizing is almost perfectly consistent). I guess it’s good that 90% of my Christmas shopping is done so it’s nice to spend a little on myself.
ReplyDeleteI will say the high waist (9") skinny jeans in Prescott wash have been a hit for me and I've bought a few pair of them. Also got the critter chinos and the slim chinos, so basically pants. The rest is mostly from the Men's section for gifts but the 40% was definitely motivating in stocking up.

ReplyDeleteContinuing my trend of raiding the men's and children's section. I bought the patterned cashmere scarf in grey navy Winslow check. I got it with the 40% off in-store plus the $25 holiday coupon. The scarfs are just gorgeous. The online photos doesn't do them justice.
DeleteOnline I ordered the scarf in the blackwatch. I actually own nothing in blackwatch, even though I like it. I also bought the boy's cotton-cashmere cardigan sweater in a 16, I am closer to a size 14 in kids, but I want it to fit looser, as well as the men's Italian merino wool cardigan sweater. I'll keep whichever I like best I guess.
I can still use the $25 holiday coupon online. I'll probably buy tights/socks.
I'm so annoyed. I ordered the men's alpaca fair isle sweater because the description only listed alpaca as the material. it arrived today, I pulled it on and immediately start itching. my throat started to close up and the eyes start itching. I am allergic to lambs wool. I pulled it off at checked: it's a alpaca/wool blend. Not cool! the description is false and I actually went out of my way to find alpaca sweater not a blend. I could have just ordered one of the women's ones! I don't trust anything JC lists anymore.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is terrible! I’m so sorry that happened to you. It really does seem to be a problem lately. And sadly, their not the only offenders. Something I was going to purchase online at Lands End said it was 100% merino wool (vs just merino wool) and it was incorrect. That is very misleading!

DeleteWow just rereading what I wrote last night. Holy typos. I was belligerent with anger. I'm still annoyed. On the upside, if you're OK with the alpaca blend and the itchiness, it's a beautiful sweater. I got a men's XS and it fit like an oversized women's S. Cozy and just perfectly oversized for hiding holiday weight.
