I did! I had a few things in my cart - was waiting on a decent promo to pull the trigger. Ordered the tunic pocket sweater & suede Amelia flats, both in the green, & the black sleeveless infinity shirt which had gone to clearance. Hopefully they won't take over a week to ship like my last order!
ReplyDeleteDo you guys have any thoughts on the long puffer coat? I would like a longish coat for my trip to Europe this winter and was wondering if anyone had experience. There are no reviews online. I have the short version from around 2011 and it has held up great. Wondering if I should take the plunge or wait for a retail version to come out. TIA!
ReplyDeleteHi Sara Lee - last year, the puffer coats on both retail and factory sides had quite a few complaints about their "wet dog" smell, which I think was attributed to using down feathers that hadn't fully dried before being sewn into the coats. I really hope they were able to fix that this year - I have a 10 year old down coat from Lands' End that needs to be replaced and I like the shape of the JC long puffer. That being said, you might want to check out LE if you're looking for something warm - my coat has been awesome! : )
DeleteI purchased two puffer coats from Eddie Bauer last year and love them - good quality and not too puffy.
DeleteI have the long puffer coat from a few seasons ago. I use it to take my dog outside in the winter when it is really cold...It is nice that it comes down longer to provide more warmth. I usually prefer a shorter coat for everyday wear in and out of the car, etc. If you need more coverage I would definitely recommend.

DeleteUnrelated, but: did anyone try the women's Burbridge Parka from last winter? What was it like? Was it actually flattering? I'm interested in a serious winter coat for NYC (my down coat is on its way out), but don't want it to weigh much more than a down coat would.

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have an opinion on the factory military shirt dress in green? I sort of liked it when I tried it on but waiting on a better price and free shipping, which is today.
ReplyDeleteI also tried it on and liked it in store, although it looked better from the front than from the side (from the side it looked a little shapeless on me -- am 5-7 and a 36DD though so with no darts, that is to be expected) -- so for me, $55 still seems like I'll wait it out a little longer and see. Nice fabric and great color.
DeleteI have it and love it. It fits me much better than the retail short sleeved dress they had this year. The retail version was more fitted; Factory is a looser, easier fit.
Deleteamazing and yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy offer .
ReplyDeleteAnyone have the linen-cotton stripe shorts, item c5364? Are they comfortable, true to size, see through?
ReplyDeleteI also had a bunch of stuff in my cart and was about to go to bed last night when I saw the offer come out and immediately hit purchase. I went back this morning to get the banded dress in dusty port (it seems very Claire Underwood to me), and I noticed they had increased most of the prices by $10. So the 30% off is less generous when things are 10% more expensive... But a discount is a discount is a discount! I'll take it.
ReplyDeleteIn my first order I got the lightweight wool suiting pieces in grey heather (tailored shift dress, jacket, pants, and skirt). I really needed a grey suit in wool to replace the sad polyester mess I have from Macy's, so I'm really hoping it works out. I already had the dress in black so I'm confident the sizing is right at least.
