Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  2. At Palos Verdes, Calif., store, I bought two vintage polos. Sticker sale price of 14.99, plus additional 30 percent off. Also bought a v-neck tee, sticker price of 10.99, same 30 percent off.

Three pieces for less than $35. Can't beat it.

  3. The 30% off sale is still on and the Robson St. store still has a lot of merchandise: raj paisley skirt & dress, anchor tops, luxe pants, cashmere cardis, jackies, tippi in linen stripe, stripe popover (which I got today). Also spotted one last ram's head necklace in the sale section, and MANY shoes.

    Some reviews here.

    3. brandi, the skirt would have come to about $42 after the discount, I believe. I didn't take a look at the dresses. You can call the store at 604-684-2367 when they open and ask.

LizT, I am pretty certain I saw a fair number of those in the white. HTH

  4. I am trying to keep up and I am certain I do not have all of the info include. I have quite a bit of it, though. Thanks to all of the JCAs who are reporting, sharing & helping one another. I have been enabelped quite a bit. That's enabled+helped.

    * In-store price notes - incl the whisper gauze blouse now $39.99 in-store, still $69.50 online, in this post look for dates in red font and those are the most current updates

    * New cuts & sale - links to irl pics, check 'em out before committing to final sale

  5. Slightly OT but didn't know where to post. If you love the Tippy in Heart Me but hate the lopsidedness of the heart, I found a nice alternative here
    Review forthcoming.

  6. I didn't make it in this past weekend, but do have a couple of items arriving that I ordered online before final sale hit. I do plan to go in later this week though.

Also, just a reminder that today is the last day of the extra 30% off MUSTHAVE promotion online. I have all the Promo-priced items (they receive the extra discount, but are not final sale) for both the Women and Men on my blog.

    *Women's list here.

    *Men's list here.

    1. i think they'll adjust your prices in the store if you ordered within 7 days of the price drop; i took in my seahorse necklace and havana clutch and saved about 90 dollars. the store didn't have the items in stock...all i did was bring in my online receipt and said that the store price had dropped and then asked them to check for any price adjustments. They didn't give me any problems at all!

  10. Hi!
I am very interested in the Seville wedges in modern red. The sale price online + 30% is a great deal!
I am normally a size 7 in shoes. Do these fit TTS or should I size down?
    Thank you.

  13. Has anyone seen/tried the Kimono Sleeve Maxi Dress? I love the look but am not close to a B&M so would love some info. I'm 6' tall and pretty slim fwiw.

    thanks.

    1. Marisa, I haven't seen the kimono sleeve maxi on anyone. I'm not risking it on final sale, personally. It sounds like you're built like the model so I would think it would look the same on you. I *did* get some measurements from cs the other day:

      * Size XS - chest = 33", waist = 21.5", hip = 43"

      *Size S - chest = 35", waist = 23.5", hip = 45"

    2. I ordered it, does not come up as FS, so hopefully will post reviews soon.

    3. Awesome Slastena! Thanks for pointing out that it doesn't come out FS. I'll buy today and cross the fingers! BTW, gigi, did they happen to tell you length? Maybe it's time to chat!

      Delete
    4. I did chat and got some length measurements. The XS is 50.6" long and the S is 51.25" long. Now, I know I'm tall but that falls mid calf for me. CS insisted that the measurement is taken from the high point on the shoulder to the hem but I don't think that's correct. If I take that measurement from my high waist it sweeps the floor... thoughts?

    5. Marisa, of course chat is not showing up for me to see if I get the same measurement info for length. I wouldn't be surprised if it's very long. The Amie maxi, for example, is quite long. Well, this coming from someone that's 5'2". Remember that the measurement given is flat and doesn't account for chest or hips taking up the length in some ways.

    6. Hi Marisa,

I just recieved the kimono sleeve maxi in the mail. I am 5'10" and the dress falls low calf to ankle (it stretches slightly during the day). I will be adding an additional piece of either black or white jersey to the bottom to lengthen it so it sweeps the floor when I wear heels (tall girl problems)

PS: I am wearing the size small in my post. I should of ordered the XS - it runs slightly big, but not enough to warrent an exchange

  14. NorthPark store in Dallas still had a fair amount of sale items yesterday for 30%off, and I think I might head back by today on my lunch break to look a little more. I was running short on time yesterday, but I did pick up a No.2 pencil skirt for $30 total (marked to 39.99 with 30% off plus tax). I had been wanting to add a No.2 to my closet for a long time and I couldn't pass up that price!

  15. Re: Jules dress in stripe. Someone asked about it. I checked over the phone, giving the sa the style@ and it's still $89.99 in-store.

Mr. Brown Shorts arrived early and I was so excited...I knew the Lucille dress in lace was arriving today and I thought I was going to miss it because I was leavin or the airport....the dress is gorgeous but feels a little smaller compared to the other Lucille dresses... Anyone else compare the Lucille dresses?

  17. Lisa, it felt ybe same way on me, smaller than the cotton-faille one. HTH!

  18. On another note, I let the ring around eyelet top go when it went on sale in store because by the time it went on sale I was a bit over it but now I have the perfect skirt to go with it and I need it in the blue grotto. Has anyone seen a xs recently, specifically in NYC? TIA!
