Today is the last day J.Crew is offering customers to take 40% off all sale items (no min) with promo code OURTREAT online.
Unclear if this promotion will end in the brick & mortar (B&M) stores too. Does anyone know?
In any case, J.Crew is making room for their Fall arrivals by reducing their Spring & Summer stock. No complaints here! (Well, maybe on the Final Sale aspect...) ;) But overall, prices are very tempting for those of us not "shopped-out" yet.
Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?
Can anyone comment on the schoolboy blazer in Prince of Wales wool? I am between a 0 and 2 (own the confetti tweed in size 0). But it seems like their blazers are sometimes tight across the shoulders. Hesitant to order due to FS. Thanks in advance!ReplyDelete
Some have asked, so I've posted pics of the anchors aweigh pant and café capri in geranium lace here on my blog.ReplyDelete
can anyone speak to quality of the suiting in wool crepe - is it nice? I am contemplating the dark charcoal suit as it is such a great price. I have the wool gabardine and the super 120s, but not the wool crepe...ReplyDelete
There are some new Promo-priced items (that aren't final sale) this week, so I've updated the lists. Women's list here and Men's list here.ReplyDelete
A lot of the sale stuff isn't showing up as final sale this morning. For example this and this. It may be a mistake, who knows, but this might be a good opportunity for those who don't like final sale.ReplyDelete
Looks like there are some new markdowns and additional cuts, too...flowy cami in polka dot (was on promo), Edith A. Miller contrast stripe tee, and Altuzarra for J.Crew Sabrina dress to name a few.ReplyDelete
Many of the items that were once on promo have now received second and third sale cuts. I have those noted toward the bottom of the page (after the current promo-priced items). :)ReplyDelete
Does anyone know how much the featherweight cotton cardigans are in store? The newly marked down colors??ReplyDelete
I saw the purple last night at $29.99 at my storeDelete
i picked up a bunch of things this morning. only three were fs. a few really good new markdownsReplyDelete
Same here! I really want the multistripe dolman-sleeve tee but they only have xxs left and I called CS and will not do a find it for me!! Ugh!,ReplyDelete
How horrible is the neon peach or neon pink in person? Tempted by the cashmere but really don't like neon. Anyone seen these colors?ReplyDelete
@pathos, I ordered the neon peach in the Indian Voile shirt & blythe blouse earlier this spring, and both times the color was so loud and cheap-looking that I didn't even bother taking it out of the plastic wrap. It went right back to the store without being tried on, and this is from someone who likes bright colors! I do like brights but prefer classic saturated colors (like modern red & bright yellow), not the neon.Delete
Not sure about the cashmere, but I've gotten the neon peach chino shorts and the ballet henley-at first it's a rather obnoxious neon, but there's a tag that says to wash first-colors may bleed-yadda yadda- and I've wash them several times and they now look like the pictures. That said, I also got the neon pink chinos and like Connor, didn't even open the package-they reminded me of pink Cheetos.Delete
Sequin anchor tank just went on sale and my fingers are itching...ReplyDelete
Sigh, caving and am now in search of these:ReplyDelete
Martime anchor dress sz small
Sequin anchor tank Sz medium
Silk bow tank in garden floral Sz 8
Minnie pant in deep orchid sz 10
If spotted in any NYC stores please put on hold for me. Will be visiting a few stores later this evening. Thanks a bunch.
Candece, if you don't find the Minnie in deep orchid in NYC, try calling my local b&m (Walnut Street, Pittsburgh -- 412 683 8021). As of Wednesday night, they had Minnie in deep orchid in a 10.Delete
Thanks so much Janet. :)Delete
Anchor tank and minnie found.
Still need help in finding:
Silk bow cami in garden floral Sz 8.
Maritime anchor dress Sz small.
Candece, try Park Meadows, CO 303-649-9620 for the Silk Bow cami in garden floral. I posted to another JCA that I saw a bunch of them there on Monday. HTH.Delete
BTW. Reply never works for me in IE only FireFox and Safari.
Thank you so much JRSConifer :)Delete
Cami found and is on it's way.
I've had the same issue with reply but it shows up once I click the refresh/reload button a few times.
I now own three pairs of the Bette wedges, at $29.99 a pop I couldn't resist getting them in yellow and red in the leather and blue in the suede. I also picked up the leopard linen pencil skirt. Plus my eBates 6% and I'm very happy.ReplyDelete
I snagged the Edie Attache' in Oasis Green this morning! YAH!ReplyDelete
straycat: Have you seen the Oasis Green color in person? I'm wondering if it is close to Kelley Green, or if it is a lighter shade.Delete
I've seen it. It's kelly green to me.Delete
Nice new markdowns today! I don't think I can resist the altuzarra gingham dress for $60...ReplyDelete
I ordered an Altuzarra Odette blouse yesterday with the ourtreat promo and they did another cut on the item today (with the 40% off its somewhere around 50$). I called them to say that's not fair, and I was insulted as I did not even have the shirt yet. The phone lady said they do not do price adjustments on sale merch, only full price in this instance. Can anyone else confirm this? Should I try to get a different person on the phone? TIADelete
It's definitely worth a try to call again to try to get another rep. I have never tried it myself, but I know others have been successful!Delete
It is true, I never received a price adjustment on a final sale item.Delete
I got one, there was a $60 difference, so I felt it was worth grovelling a little. The SA was delightful. Once she had agreed to the PA, I didn't have the nerve to suggest she take off the student discount as well. So - definitely worth trying!Delete
I just called online and received a price adjustment on the Carribean Tweed capris. I purchased each color on Monday for $59.99 each + the discount. Today they were marked down to $39.99. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she would only be able to adjust the price this one time and they normally don't adjust on final sale. I put on the sweetest voice possible, so maybe that worked. In the end I got my discount and they can keep me as a customer. Win Win!Delete
Nice that they added new mark downs to those wishing to buy final sale. Too bad they could not have thrown in a free ship/no minimum on this last day...I miss the old days where you could find free J.Crew shipping codes.ReplyDelete
I miss that too but you can't stack codes so you'd have to choose between 40% off and freeship.Delete
The neon peach cashmere is about the same as the Ankle stretch toothpick jean in garment-dyed twill in neon persimmon. I returned it last week because it did not match the pants I was trying too, but I did think it was pretty even though it is bright
Ok thanks. That persimmons reads as orange to me so I guess I'll pass on the peach.Delete
I know this is a long shot, but if anyone sees the ultra eyelet skirt in Chili in either size 2 regular or 4P please let me know. email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. One of my few FP regrets...ReplyDelete
Fabulous Florida Mommy....I haven't seen the Oasis Edie in person. My stores get very few bags and didn't get this one. I'm thinking it's a medium kelly green. It's not on final sale. I loved it the minute I saw it in the promo pics and have been hoping it would hit sale. I never thought I'd get it on super sale!ReplyDelete
Thanks straycat! I just looked at the one selling on Net-a-Porter, and they describe it as a fresh shade of apple green. You can get a better idea of the color in their photos, too. Click here to see them. :)Delete
Thanks to stray cat about the Oasis Green Edie Attache. I am trying it out. A little worried about how easily the Edie pieces scratch though. Can anyone else comment who has one?Delete
The new items (175 to be exact) are in Factory stores according to an email I just received.ReplyDelete
I also got an e-mail this morning that new arrivals are at the Factory stores, and sale there is extra 50% off. Could be worth a stop if you are near one!Delete
Decided on my first fall pick: the blue Brompton.
ruffles, do you know when the additional 50% off sale items ends? Thanks!Delete
Fabulous Florida Mommy.....thank you for the link. Are you getting the Oasis Green Attache'? I love the classis simple shape and hope the color will be appropriate for all seasons. Let's keep our fingers crossed!ReplyDelete
straycat: Congratulations on getting the bag, and at such a fantastic price, too! I do love the silhouette of the Attaché bags, but am looking for a different shade of green, so I'm not going to get it. I may consider one of the camel and black bags coming out for fall that AJC showed in her preview pix though.Delete
Could someone please comment on the fit and quality of the Edith A. Miller contrast stripe tee? TIA!ReplyDelete
I have 3 other Edith Miller tees and what I can say -- NEVER put them in the dryer-- they will shrink big time. I also think they are a little short in the body but I am tall, but I still love them! I ordered this one too and it is one the way, I hope.Delete
I miss free shipping codes too. Also, another thing that drives me crazy...no price adjustments on sale items. I just bought two items on Monday and now they are both reduced an additional $10 each. Not cool J.Crew, not cool at all.ReplyDelete
kind of frustrated that a lot of the new sale items, such as the promenade skirt, are only available in extremely limited sizes. just XX-small and X-small? really?ReplyDelete
I finally bit, purchased the Sydney patent sandals in poppy and golden sunflower, and the cafe Capri in desert (promo priced) and sequin anchor top ( did not ring up FS). Officially done with summer, looking forward to seeing the fall rollout but with temps in NY over 100 degrees with humidity I don't think I'll be purchasing anything Fall related for awhile!ReplyDelete
Fabulous Florida Mommy....Thanks! I think the Edie is lovely in all colors and I would have gotten a basic if I wasn't a huge purse nut and have lots of basic colored purses already. I did snag the calf hair Edie Attache on sale about a month ago and am looking forward to carrying it alot this fall and winter. Hope you find the perfect green bag!ReplyDelete
I think that I will be very happy with my sale purchases for a while, as this heat does not show any signs of abating! OT, but I posted some more Fall pages on my blog... www.ontrendorchids.blogspot.comReplyDelete
KnitYarns, thanks so much for posting those pictures. I can't wait until tomorrow!Delete
AD MD: Me either!!!
Thanks KnitYarns....I can see ALOT more jools in my future! I'm so weak. I can not pass up pretty jools! And I love that black/white polka dot dress! Meow!ReplyDelete
Ok....why aren't those kooky kaleidoscope capris' on sale yet? They couldn't have been that popular!ReplyDelete
HUGE thank you to JRSConifer -- I called the Park Meadows CO store and they had Minnies in British Khaki in my size on the sale rack! $29.99 before the 40% off! If anyone else is looking, it seemed like they still had a variety of sizes.ReplyDelete
WMM - I think you can hardly go wrong with J.Crew's suiting, especially at a really good price, though I haven't purchased any for years except for the superfine cotton I just got. The wool crepe is a looser weave than the other wool suiting, and of thicker threads. Feels more wintery than the gabardine but seems to be more wrinkle resistant.ReplyDelete
I wish someone who has the new catalogue would post all the pics...a few a day are just a tease. Anyone able to do this for us who obviously are not very patient. Thanks.ReplyDelete
I'll post the new catalog to The J. Crew Archives as soon as I get it, which should hopefully be tomorrow when the stores get the new arrivals!Delete
I don't know where to post this, but I got a postcard in the mail from the J. Crew Factory store that is good for 20% off of a $125 purchase. I didn't look closely, but the SA told me it is good for today only. The Factory store got its new arrivals today and the store looked great, lots of new transitional/fall merchandise.ReplyDelete
Some things looked like they are retail items being sold at Factory now, a season or so late. This seems to be a recent trend there. The Mirabel skirt and dress, the Souvenir dress, the African Violet ikat prints, etc. Wish I knew the names of the items I recognized today. One is a pretty plaid perfect shirt that was out last fall/winter. There was also the Factory version of the bubble necklace, now out in a black version and a red version.
I found a beautiful pair of red suede ballet flats, real red, not orange-y red!
I visited a factory store today too, and it was like stepping into the JCrew twilight zone! The plaid perfect shirt you saw was a reproduction of the Quincy. Lots of bright dahlia items too.Delete
Quincy, yes thank you! They also had a color-block Maritime dress with navy on top and a bright green on the bottom, very cute.Delete
Patience paid off for me today, the Marrakech swimwear finally went on sale, so I was thrilled to grab it for extra 40% off and free shipping. A rare true win. :)ReplyDelete
On the downside, my safari cat skirt arrived Monday and the hook at the top of the zipper was totally mangled! A minor fix, yes, but I paid $50 for the skirt so it's going back as defective. I already ordered a replacement.
I was trying to remember who was waiting for the Marrakech swimwear when I saw it this morning! I'm so glad it worked out!Delete
I already did: the polly popover and the denim pencil skirt in farmstand wash.ReplyDelete
Danielle - I really like the sequin anchor tank and seems it can go casual easily with the bold anchor graphic, see here for a styling idea. wince, not trying to enable ...ReplyDelete
The Columbus Circle store helped me order the Polly popover, honored my student discount AND waived shipping. I'm thrilled!!ReplyDelete
Janet, you are so welcome, glad it worked out.ReplyDelete
I bit on this sale since all items I purchased were 40% off and not FS. Trying the Marrakech swimsuit in 2 different sizes and a jackie cardigan, plus the altuzarra gingham dress, not sure about it but again not FS. Then I am holding out for fall items and the Brompton bag in green.
TR I just checked out your blog and loved your outfits! because of you i'm contemplating the navy Cafe capri in domino eyelet and wondered how they fit compared to the wool cafe (which I own) or the cotton cafe (which I don't but have tried on). Thanks so much!ReplyDelete
Can anyone comment on regular sizes compared to petite in the Minnie's? In the classic cafe Capri I got a 2p and I'm 5"3. What size should I get in the Minnie's? Or has anyone my height experienced them being too long?? ThanksReplyDelete
Hey there! I have Minnies in both petite and regular (in all possible colors, I am a big fan of them). I choose one size smaller in regulars compared to petite size, for example, I buy 0P and 00 regular. The regular lengths look good and I don't think they are too long. I wear both the regular and petite with flats and heels. For comparison, I am 5"1. Hope this helps!Delete
I have the Minnie's in petite and preferred the length over the regular (I'm also 5'3") but I think this really depends on your body proportions. I have regular torso, shorter legs, so petites (or tailoring) is a must on the bottom for me.Delete
OWS, I always get the regular minnies and find that they hit at the ankle. I don't dry clean them but wash them (gentle cycle/no dryer) and find that the length shrinks. I am 5'1" for reference. HTHReplyDelete
Haven't bought anything at J. Crew in months -- couldn't resist the Lula snakeskin flats today, I've been waiting for the vintage linen color to go on sale all summer!ReplyDelete
Tiffany Rose - many thanks. I think a skirt suit for $110 is likely worth it!ReplyDelete
Where does one draw the line on anchors? And why is the anchors aweigh tee pretty much the only anchor item not on sale? All pressing questions as I sit with three anchor print items in my cart :)ReplyDelete
I think the line would be at least 6 items :) I grabbed the anchor cardigan this morning, the anchors aweigh blouse the other day-returned the Dizzy dress though. Still waiting for the flats to popback in my size.Delete
Is anyone still looking for the seahorse necklace? I saw one at Bridgeport Village J. Crew (503-598-7414) in Portland, Oregon this morning. I can't believe it's still there! 40% off! Hope someone happily snaps it up!ReplyDelete
I couldn't help myself and got the Schoolboy blazer in eyelet (only white is available, it looks like) and the Altuzarra gingham dress. That one wasn't final sale, but both were great prices! Since it's still going to be hot for a while, I'm excited to add two more summer pieces to my wardrobe!ReplyDelete
I saw someone wearing the white eyelet Schoolboy today, it looked great!Delete
I was able to get the striped dolman tee. My ps let me buy it over the phone since I'm not making a trip to my b&m until the new items arrive. It is still full price in stores. He also told me that new arrivals have been pushed back to the 27th (they were suppose to be at my b&m on the 25th).ReplyDelete
Connie - I'm delighted you like what you saw! On me, the wool cafe is baggy while the cotton cafe is a good fit. I think the domino eyelet fits like the cotton cafe, perhaps even a little slimmer.ReplyDelete
ObsessedWShopping - I am 5'2" and wear regular length cafe capri and minnies all the time, and prefer the regular length. I wear 0P or 00 pants so guessing you might try the 0. I can't embed links at the moment but you might check out my blog to see how regular length pants fit on a shortie. ;)ReplyDelete
If anyone is still considering the cotton-silk faille Lucille, you can see it a review of it on me here:ReplyDelete
It's a great little dress! :)
Last post today, I promise. For all of you Collection shoppers Tice's Corner, NJ had a variety of small sizes in the Porcelain dress, an absolutely beautiful shawl collared ivory dressy light wool blazer definitely some 2's and I don't recall what else, a strapless black frayed ribbon covered dress and some S and XS in a tweed? heavy black and white wool mix shawl collar coat.HTH someone!ReplyDelete
Are those new collection pieces or on sale? (E.g. I don't remember any ivory wool blazers this summer...)Delete
They were on sale, but I believe the 40 off ends tonight...They had Collection tags, but I don't know the names of the pieces.Delete
I'm leery of the Edie bags because the hardware is prone to bending and even breaking off. I sent mine back.... I hope you all have better luck with them than I did.ReplyDelete
Has anyone visited any of the NYC stores? What are the sale sections like? Worth running over to Rock Center or the one near Grand Central?ReplyDelete
I'm having trouble with the code -- everything (incl sale but not final sale) items in my cart are discounted when I apply "OURTREAT", but when I go to check out, a number of them are no longer at a discount -- including items that end in .99. That's a big difference. Any suggestions? Just call?ReplyDelete
Is this the number to the park meadow store with the Minnie's?ReplyDelete
I just called and the sa told me the only color of Minnie's on sale was purple and the khaki was online only :/
Yes, call back and try another SA. I saw them there on Monday and Janet posted..Delete
JanetJuly 18, 2012 11:20 AM
HUGE thank you to JRSConifer -- I called the Park Meadows CO store and they had Minnies in British Khaki in my size on the sale rack! $29.99 before the 40% off! If anyone else is looking, it seemed like they still had a variety of sizes.
Does anyone know the price of the lena wedges in store? Thx!ReplyDelete
West Coast Crew - I saw the Lena wedges marked $69.99 in Walnut Creek on 7/15.Delete
Thanks Gigi! It's getting to the point now where I just wait until my size runs out on line and then ask my PS to find one in the stores for me. Seems ridiculous to have to do that, but I'm getting WAY better deals doing it that way!Delete
Dropped by the Georgetown store in DC. The sale section which is usually huge was dismal. Mainly tees tanks, some chinos, and shorts. The entire sale section was bare and overall the store looked pretty empty. They are definitely clearing out for their fall rollout. Also some stores are starting to send their sale items back to other stores or warehouse.ReplyDelete
I went to the Gtown store yesterday, and it was just as picked over. The SA said they had a busy weekend. Darn!Delete
Lots for polka-dot lovers in the new stye guide!ReplyDelete
The Jackie cardigan in Byzantine Blue is finally marked down to 39.99 before discount! It is not final sale, but the 40% off applies to it. All sizes so far look available. Great price at under $40 including tax and shipping. I am sad I missed out on the green cardigan earlier in the week, but I wanted the blue one more so I feel pretty great about this score. :)ReplyDelete
Went today and saw some cute cute cute earrings to match the bubble necklaces!ReplyDelete
I saw those cute earrings too! I saw navy (matches the navy bubble necklace) neon orange and pale pink. They looked like a small half circle post earring. Saw a couple of other pretty jewelry pieces too. Can't wait to see more!ReplyDelete
Yes, they are cute, aren't they??? It also comes in green and turquoise (the colors I picked up). Studs work best for my ears (weird piercing) but tend towards dull, so whenever I see some I like I generally pick up multiples. (There we go with multiples again...)Delete
Oh, and I also got very lucky and got the floor sample of the dusty clay monas for $50! I think JC is done with this color, and on this particular pair, the heel was scuffed (which does bug me a little...) so they took 50% instead of 40% off the sale price of $100.
The new stud earrings are so cute! So are the new "ball" necklaces (long gold chain with a fancy beaded ball on the end - can't think of what else to call them). Love the mint and the coral.Delete
One more trip to the sale well for the Olympia Suede Sandals in the Grappa color for $42! And a beach cover-up. I'm done now, I swear!ReplyDelete
* anchors aweigh pants & Caribbean tweed capris in this post
* filigree strapless beach dress, midsummer maxidress & dizzy anchors dress in this post
I keep saying I'm done too....but this morning I "realized" I wanted the Raj Paisley pencil skirt so I emailed my VPS and he found me one! Just waiting for confirmation that the skirt is on it's way to me. I think it comes in at $29.94 after the 40% off in store price. I passed it up for months not sure what colors to wear with it, but I think for that price I can buy something to go with it! Hee!ReplyDelete
can anyone tell me what color "morning fog" is? Beige or gray ? :)ReplyDelete
beige definately. not a creamy clean beige though, more of a 'dirty' beige if that makes any sense?Delete
yep, beige with mostly brown, not gray undertones. It's a solid color with no heathering.Delete
Went to the Lenox store in Atlanta this evening and the sale section was pretty cleaned out. I was happy to get the boucle tweed jacket for $60, though. The SA said that they were moving lots of new things to the sale section tonight. He wasn't sure, but he seemed to think the additional 40% off would continue in stores through the weekend.ReplyDelete
I'm super excited because I FINALLY got the featherweight cashmere boatneck stripe tee in nectar azalea :) Can't wait to get it! It went on sale for 159.99 from the initial $228 AND the 40% off promo worked! I do wish I would have shopped the final sale sooner though, would have loved to get a pair of navy cafe trousers but they are sold out in my size. The promo also worked on the long double serge cotton pencil skirt that I've been eyeing for months even though this too was not final sale, yay!ReplyDelete
My local stores didn't get the sequin anchor tank. Congrats to you lucky gals who scored one! Fingers crossed I can find a small on eBay ...ReplyDelete
ObsessedWShopping - just got home and remembered I have a picture of me wearing regular length minnie pant here if that helps you see how long they'd be on you.ReplyDelete
I bought the long no. 2 pencil skirt in black - with the discount, it's a great price for a basic, and I already own another (in safari cat) so I know the fit will work.ReplyDelete
Oops I did it again! Thanks to the updated price info from you jcas,I ordered both green and mango of the caribbean tweed cafe capris which came to $24 each when extra 40% was applied. I'm a sucker for anything tweed & I can justify these since I probably buy 20 tops for every 1 bottom. I also picked up the ultra eyelet shell in white which I've had my eye on for a long time $30 after promo. If this pace keeps up, i'll be featured the next episode of that intervention show.ReplyDelete
FYI, the J.Crew website JUST updated the sale section.ReplyDelete
Two new arrivals are already on sale?? The collection organza jacket and the color crush necklace..crazyReplyDelete
Also, if you are in the NYC area, expect your sale items quickly. I ordered three chino shorts and a tee shirt around 8 AM Monday morning, I got the shipping confirmation Tuesday mid-morning, and I got the items Wednesday mid-morning.ReplyDelete
The "light cintron" perfect tee is more neon than on the website, I am hoping some of the radioactive hue washes out a bit.
Thanks so much to everyone who helped with the Minnies! Sadly the store's smallest size was a 8, :(, does anyone know if the stores are still offering % off sale? Also, does anyone know another store who may possibly have the minnies for 29.99? Thanks!ReplyDelete
ObsessedWShopping-I just received my size 4 minnies (in orchid) from the following B&M in NYC 769 Madison ave. -212-824-2500. I placed I called my local store on Tuesday and they put in a search for me including free shipping! My package just arrived. Hope this helps oh and the store are still offering the discount.Delete
I just received the Collection Neon-stripe skirt in a size 0 and plan on taking it back tomorrow. If anyone is interested email me at trestippy(at)gmail.com It would be the price I paid, $119.99 plus shipping ($4-5 depending on your location)ReplyDelete
Anyone else still waiting for shipping emails from this sale? I have two orders, one placed on Tuesday morning (17th) at 8AM and one placed on Wednesday morning at 7AM that still say "Released". Wondering if they are waiting for returns from stores??? I know our sale section looked like half of it was shipped out.ReplyDelete
Does anyone have any sizing feedback on the Two Tone Circle Skirt (item #49604)? True to size or no?ReplyDelete
WMM - I think a skirt suit for $110 is a wonderful price. I just hope I didn't steered you wrong on the wool crepe. I just came across some of my J.Crew suiting that could be the wool crepe, I'm not sure it is, but if so, it is not of thicker threads and more wintery looking/feeling than the garbardine (I have other wool crepe that is). What I'm seeing is looser weave and seems to resist wrinkles better, but in many ways it could be lighter weight than the gabardine. I think it is a beautiful fabric but I hope you weren't looking for something heavier and like it when you get it.ReplyDelete
