  1. Off Topic, but has anyone else recently got a Magic Wallet from Jcrew? I just got the coral/gold one to replace one I got about 5 years ago and I see a difference in the leather (if it is real leather). The first one I bought said handmade in England on the inside and feels like real leather. I really love it but the metallic gold has totally worn off after all these years so got a new one but it doesn't feel the same quality. Not sure if anyone else has noticed...

  4. Love that all of my orders have been fulfilled correctly except for one thing. I will grant the warehouse that it was bagged w/the correct style# so they get a pass. Ish.

  5. Happy that my b&m at Yorkdale adjusted my bill from last week - I spent $200+ on the 30% off final sale, only to find out that they increased the sale to 50% half an hour later. I was a bit ticked at this when I found out, but the staff happily adjusted my bill and saved me $65.
Which I promptly spent on new sale items. Since the 50% was still running. Since I was there, y'know. *sigh*

  6. J. Crew customer service sent me a new swimsuit strap to replace one that I lost (wasn't even their fault). Thank you that was awesome!!!

And the customer service at our little mall J. Crew store continues to be fantastic.

  7. J.Crew, THANK YOU for offering tall sizes in your new double serge pencil skirt. I might have to buy every color and then ditch all my regular length ones... I already have so many of the colors. Seriously considering that!

  9. Off topic but I wasn't sure where to ask this. I just placed my first "we will find it for you" order. It's for the double serge golden burgundy skirt which is promotionally priced on the website but I believe marked down lower in stores. If they do manage to track down the skirt for me which price will I be charged? Also if stores still have the extra percentage off will my order receive the promotion?

    1. Yvonne: You should be charged the in-store price, as well as any discounts they are currently offering. Since the stores also have final sale, your skirt will arrive with Final Sale on the receipt, as well. HTH!

  10. I caught a wool coat on early morning pop back, I paid $150 and at the time there was no additional % off sale, but since it was a $400 coat, I thought it was a good deal. Upon receipt of the jacket, I was in love with it, but after looking at it closely I realized there was pet hair all over it. So obviously it was worn the season before and then returned (thanks a**hole). So I emailed customer service venting that they would ship me such a coat but told them I didn't want to return it b/c I loved it. They offered to reimburse me for the cost of cleaning, but after pressing further for a price adjustment for a "used" coat, I was quite happy when they took an extra 50% plus a credit for the cost of the dry cleaning. Very pleased with customer service making this right!
