JCA "Help Style Me!" Weekly Post

This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this post) says it best, "You know, that thing you bought because you love it and you keep pulling it out and then putting it away without wearing it?"

Please share your J.Crew item (either that you own or are thinking about getting) that you would love help creating an outfit with.

Also, please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel free to include links to your blog (where you incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance! :)

    1. I already WANT a fancy dress that I have no NEED for. The organza sheath.
      Someone please advise!

Aside from that, two pairs of cords, as that's my every day winter look.

Shoes are lovely but at the UK rate, another £200 gets me Manolos, so I'll only bite if a JCA's scores them for me on a percent off deal in the US.

    2. I've been awake since 3:30 and I finally just got up at 4:45. Lots to love, I posted my own picks just now.
Tabs I thought of you when I saw that dress. It's beautiful. I am in love with the organza silk dress coat and the green wool Collection dress. And the elephant bracelet of course!

    3. I thought of you when I saw the navy full skirted shirt dress!

I've come to my senses, I have nowhere to go in that dress, I need "street clothes."

  3. The corduroy shorts remind me of OP or Jams shorts of the 80s and makes me want to get out my skateboard haha. Loving the new rollout!

  4. How would you wear the Café capri in geranium lace? I bough it during the sale in bohemian red but am having a hard time making an outfit. I keep wanting to put on a white tee...

    1. Hi Wanderlust, I'm going to style the capris three ways on my blog tomorrow, http://everydaymusingsetm.blogspot.com/

    2. To dress it down, maybe a navy and white stripe boatneck tee? Or the chambray shirt the website is showing it with? I think this would also look pretty with the peach colored painter tees that came out this summer. Maybe also a butter yellow (not a neon) or a lighter aqua?

    3. Do you remember the catalog picture of the eyelet pencil skirt in Chili, paired with a blue & white striped shirt and yellow Sydney sandals? I wonder if that same pairing would work with the geranium lace Cafe Capris.

    4. My local B&M showed those capris with the Gondola stripe top and the schoolboy blazer in seersucker.

  5. I have added a new window display with styling ideas for a silk dervish paisley tunic here and there are more older displays with various items here.

  6. I won't say I am regretting all the neon I purchased during spring/summer, but it does look like it will not be easy working it into fall outfits :( I'm an 80's child, I couldn't help embracing neon.

Also, this seems like a lot of cropped pants for fall?

  7. OT, but has anyone seen the lightweight Leopard print scarf in their stores?

Or, does anyone have one they are looking to sell??

    TIA!
