Ends Today! {extra 40% off Final Sale}

Today is the last day J.Crew is offering customers to take 40% off all sale items (no min) with promo code OURTREAT online.

Unclear if this promotion will end in the brick & mortar (B&M) stores too. Does anyone know?

In any case, J.Crew is making room for their Fall arrivals by reducing their Spring & Summer stock. No complaints here! (Well, maybe on the Final Sale aspect...) ;) But overall, prices are very tempting for those of us not "shopped-out" yet.

Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?

  1. Can anyone comment on the schoolboy blazer in Prince of Wales wool? I am between a 0 and 2 (own the confetti tweed in size 0). But it seems like their blazers are sometimes tight across the shoulders. Hesitant to order due to FS. Thanks in advance!

  2. Some have asked, so I've posted pics of the anchors aweigh pant and café capri in geranium lace here on my blog.

  3. can anyone speak to quality of the suiting in wool crepe - is it nice? I am contemplating the dark charcoal suit as it is such a great price. I have the wool gabardine and the super 120s, but not the wool crepe...

  4. There are some new Promo-priced items (that aren't final sale) this week, so I've updated the lists. Women's list here and Men's list here.

  5. A lot of the sale stuff isn't showing up as final sale this morning. For example this and this. It may be a mistake, who knows, but this might be a good opportunity for those who don't like final sale.

  6. Looks like there are some new markdowns and additional cuts, too...flowy cami in polka dot (was on promo), Edith A. Miller contrast stripe tee, and Altuzarra for J.Crew Sabrina dress to name a few.

  7. Many of the items that were once on promo have now received second and third sale cuts. I have those noted toward the bottom of the page (after the current promo-priced items). :)

  11. How horrible is the neon peach or neon pink in person? Tempted by the cashmere but really don't like neon. Anyone seen these colors?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @pathos, I ordered the neon peach in the Indian Voile shirt & blythe blouse earlier this spring, and both times the color was so loud and cheap-looking that I didn't even bother taking it out of the plastic wrap. It went right back to the store without being tried on, and this is from someone who likes bright colors! I do like brights but prefer classic saturated colors (like modern red & bright yellow), not the neon.

      Delete
    2. Not sure about the cashmere, but I've gotten the neon peach chino shorts and the ballet henley-at first it's a rather obnoxious neon, but there's a tag that says to wash first-colors may bleed-yadda yadda- and I've wash them several times and they now look like the pictures. That said, I also got the neon pink chinos and like Connor, didn't even open the package-they reminded me of pink Cheetos.

    Sequin anchor tank Sz medium
Silk bow tank in garden floral Sz 8

If spotted in any NYC stores please put on hold for me. Will be visiting a few stores later this evening. Thanks a bunch.

    1. I ordered an Altuzarra Odette blouse yesterday with the ourtreat promo and they did another cut on the item today (with the 40% off its somewhere around 50$). I called them to say that's not fair, and I was insulted as I did not even have the shirt yet. The phone lady said they do not do price adjustments on sale merch, only full price in this instance. Can anyone else confirm this? Should I try to get a different person on the phone? TIA

    3. It is true, I never received a price adjustment on a final sale item.

      Delete
    4. I got one, there was a $60 difference, so I felt it was worth grovelling a little. The SA was delightful. Once she had agreed to the PA, I didn't have the nerve to suggest she take off the student discount as well. So - definitely worth trying!

    5. I just called online and received a price adjustment on the Carribean Tweed capris. I purchased each color on Monday for $59.99 each + the discount. Today they were marked down to $39.99. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she would only be able to adjust the price this one time and they normally don't adjust on final sale. I put on the sweetest voice possible, so maybe that worked. In the end I got my discount and they can keep me as a customer. Win Win!

  24. I miss free shipping codes too. Also, another thing that drives me crazy...no price adjustments on sale items. I just bought two items on Monday and now they are both reduced an additional $10 each. Not cool J.Crew, not cool at all.

  26. I finally bit, purchased the Sydney patent sandals in poppy and golden sunflower, and the cafe Capri in desert (promo priced) and sequin anchor top ( did not ring up FS). 32. WMM - I think you can hardly go wrong with J.Crew's suiting, especially at a really good price, though I haven't purchased any for years except for the superfine cotton I just got. The wool crepe is a looser weave than the other wool suiting, and of thicker threads. Feels more wintery than the gabardine but seems to be more wrinkle resistant.

  34. I don't know where to post this, but I got a postcard in the mail from the J. Crew Factory store that is good for 20% off of a $125 purchase. I didn't look closely, but the SA told me it is good for today only. The Factory store got its new arrivals today and the store looked great, lots of new transitional/fall merchandise.

Some things looked like they are retail items being sold at Factory now, a season or so late. This seems to be a recent trend there. The Mirabel skirt and dress, the Souvenir dress, the African Violet ikat prints, etc. Wish I knew the names of the items I recognized today. One is a pretty plaid perfect shirt that was out last fall/winter. There was also the Factory version of the bubble necklace, now out in a black version and a red version.

I found a beautiful pair of red suede ballet flats, real red, not orange-y red!

I bit on this sale since all items I purchased were 40% off and not FS. Trying the Marrakech swimsuit in 2 different sizes and a jackie cardigan, plus the altuzarra gingham dress, not sure about it but again not FS. Then I am holding out for fall items and the Brompton bag in green.

  40. TR I just checked out your blog and loved your outfits! because of you i'm contemplating the navy Cafe capri in domino eyelet and wondered how they fit compared to the wool cafe (which I own) or the cotton cafe (which I don't but have tried on). Thanks so much!

  41. Can anyone comment on regular sizes compared to petite in the Minnie's? In the classic cafe Capri I got a 2p and I'm 5"3. What size should I get in the Minnie's? Or has anyone my height experienced them being too long?? Thanks

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey there! I have Minnies in both petite and regular (in all possible colors, I am a big fan of them). I choose one size smaller in regulars compared to petite size, for example, I buy 0P and 00 regular. The regular lengths look good and I don't think they are too long. I wear both the regular and petite with flats and heels. For comparison, I am 5"1. Hope this helps!

      Delete
    2. I have the Minnie's in petite and preferred the length over the regular (I'm also 5'3") but I think this really depends on your body proportions. I have regular torso, shorter legs, so petites (or tailoring) is a must on the bottom for me.

      Delete
  42. OWS, I always get the regular minnies and find that they hit at the ankle. I don't dry clean them but wash them (gentle cycle/no dryer) and find that the length shrinks. I am 5'1" for reference. HTH

    ReplyDelete
  49. Connie - I'm delighted you like what you saw! On me, the wool cafe is baggy while the cotton cafe is a good fit. I think the domino eyelet fits like the cotton cafe, perhaps even a little slimmer.

    ReplyDelete
  50. ObsessedWShopping - I am 5'2" and wear regular length cafe capri and minnies all the time, and prefer the regular length. I wear 0P or 00 pants so guessing you might try the 0. 1. Yes, they are cute, aren't they??? It also comes in green and turquoise (the colors I picked up). Studs work best for my ears (weird piercing) but tend towards dull, so whenever I see some I like I generally pick up multiples. (There we go with multiples again...)

Oh, and I also got very lucky and got the floor sample of the dusty clay monas for $50! I think JC is done with this color, and on this particular pair, the heel was scuffed (which does bug me a little...) so they took 50% instead of 40% off the sale price of $100.

The "light cintron" perfect tee is more neon than on the website, I am hoping some of the radioactive hue washes out a bit.

  76. Thanks so much to everyone who helped with the Minnies! Sadly the store's smallest size was a 8, :(, does anyone know if the stores are still offering % off sale? Also, does anyone know another store who may possibly have the minnies for 29.99? Thanks!

  78. Anyone else still waiting for shipping emails from this sale? I have two orders, one placed on Tuesday morning (17th) at 8AM and one placed on Wednesday morning at 7AM that still say "Released". Wondering if they are waiting for returns from stores??? I know our sale section looked like half of it was shipped out.

  79. Does anyone have any sizing feedback on the Two Tone Circle Skirt (item #49604)? True to size or no?

  80. WMM - I think a skirt suit for $110 is a wonderful price. I just hope I didn't steered you wrong on the wool crepe. I just came across some of my J.Crew suiting that could be the wool crepe, I'm not sure it is, but if so, it is not of thicker threads and more wintery looking/feeling than the garbardine (I have other wool crepe that is). What I'm seeing is looser weave and seems to resist wrinkles better, but in many ways it could be lighter weight than the gabardine. I think it is a beautiful fabric but I hope you weren't looking for something heavier and like it when you get it.
