  1. Loving that I just read JCrew is opening another store in Baltimore (Balto City that is): "J. Crew will move into a 7,188-square-foot space at the Legg Mason Tower."

    1. I saw that too! I am so excited. I was sad when the store at the Harbor closed a couple years back.

  2. OT: there's some new stuff on final sale this morning, including the feather paisley pencil skirt, sovereign paisley pencil, feather paisley talitha....probably more but haven't combed through yet.

    1. Also some new "raj paisley" items up and the sale items I mentioned above don't actually show up under final sale yet. You need to hunt for them.

  3. I just called for a price adjustment on an item that I ordered from Final Sale two days ago. JC's policy is no price adjustment on sale items however they honored a one time price adjustment for me. Thank you J Crew!

  4. Not sure where to post but lots of markdowns in final sale, esp. sweaters, $19.99. It doesn't look like JCrew's sale site with all these low prices.

Constrast stripe tee, along with some other 'newish' stuff moved to final sale too.

Tillary tote in canvas stripe is $99.99.

There are some new items added to the website so maybe they're finally spring cleaning to make way for more summer items.

  5. Guess they really want to move these sweaters now that we're in April. lol

  6. Love that they finally went fire sale on a ton of sweaters and a few other lagging winter items. I snagged several things for $19.99, so am happy about that. Oh, and ebates is 6%!

  7. Glad I saw your blog post today shopwithm! I was tempted to get a lot of things, but settled just for the leopard Tippi sweater. Who knows what's going to fit in the fall after I have my baby!

  8. It's nice sale prices have dropped to move merch, and I'd definitely pick up a few things if they ever had more sizes other than xx-small and x-large available!

  9. I love the open stitch cardigans I bought . . . of course, just as I start to wear them, they go down to $19.99. Highly recommend the beige/taupe color and the navy!

    1. Am considering these. Any help on fit would be appreciated . Have you seen this in shallow seas color? If so is it aqua, mint or gray?

  10. I'm so shocked that the Tippi leopard sweater has gone so low. I'm surprised it even made it to FS. I looooooove mine so much that I bought a backup to squirrel away in case I ever ruin the first one! Are people just not feeling the print or what?

Yes, there are many things I would have liked to buy, but none in my size. I did manage to grab 2 pair of wool cafe capris for next fall/winter -- $49.99 seemed like a good price to me. I also grabbed a pair of bright flame matchstick cords I'd been eyeing last week at $34.99. Glad I waited, I like them at $19.99 better. :)

    1. I for one really am not feeling the print. It is too... literal, or something. I placed an order today and had it in my cart but removed it, not wanting to give in to the crewlade. I love a good merino sweater but I know I wouldn't wear it. I guess I prefer more subtle animal prints, or something. I was shocked to see the low price because I really thought I was in the minority of not liking it!

    2. That's what I wondered, whether the print was too much for people ... being crazy like a fox at the ripe old age of 39, I will wear just about anything as long as my jiggly bits are well-covered. So I've worn mine with many of my crazy-colored no. 2 pencil skirts!

Here I thought I did well paying $45 apiece for the two I bought, lol.

So sad that I could barely wear any of my Tippis this year. It's just been too warm. The few times I tried, I'd end up sweating by the end of the day, urgh.

  11. Snagged two lace front tees at $25 each and two cableknit wool sweaters at $19.99 each. Then added some pants to get free shipping. I do hope there is no 30% tomorrow.

Nicole - J.Crew was a godsend when I was pregnant and looking for professional stuff to wear and for a dress to wear for a wedding when I did not know what size I would be by the time the wedding arrived. They let me order final sale stuff in different sizes and let me return the stuff that did not fit before the date of the wedding. And my baby is one year old now and my old stuff fits. So don't expect you will be bigger - my chest shrank after nursing to smaller than what I was before.

  12. I haven't been checking the website as much as I usually do, but decided to take a look at the new arrivals today - spotted some new things I haven't seen before that I am totally crushing on. Now if only they would do a FP % off promo! I have a mountain of stuff in my cart right now!

Oh, and I was at the Yorkdale store a few days ago and really cleaned up in the sale section! Sales associates were very friendly and helpful. I came away with two cotton V-neck sweaters (those sold out online ages ago), a pair of navy blue cafe trousers (less than half price!) and a stretch perfect shirt, plus I couldn't resis splurging on the new painted rope skirt which is TDF, one of the most gorgeous pieces I have seen from J Crew in a very long time.

    1. hi Louise, how is the length on the rope skirt?

  13. Some really great prices in the sale section, but not nearly enough things I'm willing to risk final sale on to reach free shipping. Now, if there wasn't final sale, or there was a lower free ship min, you bet I'd be making some purchases!! Really want to try those patent Valentinas but not at final sale when I've never tried them. Oh well, JC, your loss! :)

  14. ajc, the painted rope skirt is 21.5" long so it falls to just above the knee on me (I am 5'4"). HTH!

    1. thanks Louise! I love the skirt but it will be too short on me :(

    2. How long is the hem? I recently discovered that a JC skirt I love has an extra 1.5" that can be let out - making it a perfect length for me.

      (Sorry to be an enabler!)

  15. I just wanted to mention that the Jenna cardigan popped in the sale section this morning for $19.99 in navy, ivory, camel, and blush. Such a great cardi over dresses--hits at a perfect spot. For at-waist skirts too.
