J.Crew is currently working on their Fall 2011 Lookbook. They are sharing some behind-the-scenes looks with us. For pictures click HERE. For video, click here (or watch the video below).
I can't believe Fall styles are in the works! (I know that is how the fashion world works. While we are thinking about Spring and Summer, they are onto Fall and Winter. But I am just starting to adjust to Spring!)
It looks like they are updating the photos every so often. From the limited views of merchandise, could it be that J.Crew is over their crazy layering phase? I hope so! :) And so far, me likey!
Mini Update: For more pictures (with higher resolution), check out the "J.Crew Fall 2011 Collection" post over at the Pursuit Aesthetic blog. There are great shots of both the Men's and Women's line.
This makes me surprisingly antsy. My closet is still full of spring 2011 with tags on! I am excited to get a peek at what's to come, but this reminds me once again to BUY CLASSIC and refrain from splurging on the super trendy pieces.
ReplyDeleteCourtney: The advice is so right. Buy classic and wait for the trendy to go on sale (which it always does!) :)
ReplyDeleteAlways :) and fast too! Sometimes before the catalog for the next month rolls out.
ReplyDeleteI am already so excited for Fall! I'm a fall and winter lover. I've already been scrutinizing all of the Fall collections. I can't wait to see what new shoes J Crew will offer, because lord knows I need to blow some more money on shoes. :D I'm also looking forward to seeing the colors they've chosen.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely not ready for fall to be here again. I am actually really looking forward to wearing all of my spring and summer dresses, shoes, etc. right now.
ReplyDeleteHey, can anyone zoom in on that board at 00:26?? I see lots of narrow-legged pants. And I also see a longer (for J Crew, at least) gathered skirt in one of the photos pinned to the board, just below the knee it appears, and I think someone is wearing it at 00:27. I can't see the shoes, too blurry.

WOW. I'm seriously hopeful! Thanks for the sneak peek. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like J.Crew is updating their photos. I just posted two more images. I will reserve my final judgment for later, but I like what I see so far. Classics with a twist. Yey!
ReplyDeleteOh I like Marissa's pants. I wonder if they are J.Crew? Maybe part of the big rollout scheduled for May?
ReplyDeleteI like what I see so far. Goodness knows, I'm ready for some more classic looks (bring back Paris 2007!).
ReplyDeleteIs it me, or do those pants in the second shot look like Lollis?
I am ready for Spring Summer as in "I am ready to NO LONGER look at the color scheme from this past Fall/Winter." Wasn't it drab and depressing?
ReplyDeleteFFM: I also liked those orange trousers! Knowing Marissa's love for other brands, I bet they are not J.Crew. ;)
ReplyDeletePatmosJD: Agreed! I often think that they should re-introduce their best sellers of 2004-2008. They could make a fortune. I have seen J.Crew items from those seasons sell very well on eBay. I saw a 5 year old School of Fish dress (with no lining!) sell for $200 on eBay.
Pathos: I am ready for Spring too! Bring on the 3/4 sleeve tees and bright shades like yellow and green! :)
AAAAHAHHHHHHHH!!! I see a below-the-knee skirt!! And it's not a pencil! Bless you, J Crew! (I am very seriously excited about this!)
ReplyDeletePatmosJD, those look like Lollis to me. It's nice to see that color come around again. it's very pretty. I like the dark denim shirt w/the long tan skirt. I can't think about FA2011 as I'm still finalizing my SP/SU11 vibe.
ReplyDeletegigiofca: I like the bright dahlia color, too. Nice to have a sneak peak at FA2011, even if we're not ready to go there yet.
ReplyDeleteAlexis: Unfortunately, I didn't get into JC until late 2008. I've learned from this blog about all the lovelies that I missed. JC would definitely make some money off of me if they brought back some of those looks.
I'm not ready for fall, still waiting for warmer temp's here in MD, but it's always fun to see previews of what is to come!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting!
Thanks for sharing these photos and the link Alexis. Really happy to see some saturated color in the fall lineup. I love the royal purple that was out a few years ago and bought several items, it is similar to the color of the top in the first photo in your post but of course will not be an exact match because J.Crew always keeps it fresh. I live for saturated blues, purples and pinks.
ReplyDeletejust came from the presentation. ah maze ing!!! the womens collection was a breath of fresh air! alexis, had a chance to talk with marissa and everything she had on, including the bright colored pants are J crew. i think she said they would be available for summer.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to spring first, then summer. :)
ReplyDeleteHere are some good pictures:

I googled "j crew fall 2011", someone has some rather high quality photos, I see some very nice things. Like a gray pullover with a white design either knitted in or added as an embellishment, a modern take on fair isle. And it looks like a very long and full skirt paired with it. Good stuff, I'm looking forward to seeing more. Just have to whip through spring and summer first. :)
ReplyDeleteI was totally thinking those bright pink pants looked likt Lolli's, too!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I'm still waiting for this spring skirt to be available. I love the look.
ReplyDelete@alexis & fidele: thanks for sharing the links! I see lots to like but like others, can we please enjoy Spring and Summer first? I haven't had a chance to work my spring outfits yet, and I'm already bombarded by images from fall collections (eye roll). Will file this in the back of my head when August rolls around and I need inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI feel my wallet draining already! I love the new looks. But didn't I just purchase a slew of brand new spring/summer dresses??
ReplyDeleteTamara: I saw that skirt and loved it too! It reminds me of their 2005-2006 skirts (which I own and still wear). A classic is a classic. :)
ReplyDeleteGigiofCa & XOXO: I agree, that color is so nice. I am happy to see them bring it back.
Lindsey B.: They totally do look the Lolli pant! :)
PatmosJD: Those were some very good years. Thankfully those pieces pop up on ebay and the Great Weekly Exchange once in awhile. :)
IRL & Rose & Closet Crisis: LOL! Me too. I am waiting for warmer temps and a forecast of no snow! :)
moon kon: congrats on going to the event & getting to meet everyone. If you don't mind me asking, how did you get an invite? :)
Lolita.lee.love: LOL! I know, there seems to be a lot of great stuff that I will have to plan my budget for Spring/Summer accordingly, for Fall. ;)
P.S. The Pursuit Aesthetic blog's has additional images of the event if you are interested: "J.Crew Fall 2011 Collection"
ReplyDeleteI just spotted another thing I want in this new collection.... the animal print jacket, slung over the shoulder of the model with the rugby-stripe pullover. I hope it's not a Collection item with a start price of like $595. :)
ReplyDeleteThere are lots and lots of pictures out now. Alexis, thanks for being so quick with this that I saw them last night! I feel privileged. :)
ReplyDeleteTHIS dress from the Fall 2011 collection preview, looks very similar to THIS dress from Chloé.
ReplyDeleteI think I just found my new winter coat. Sorry for posting 3 times in a row. I am very excited about this fall line. And even I, Ms. Neutral, am loving the color.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I like that Chloé dress, FFM! Are pleats a trend for fall?
ReplyDeleteFFM: thanks for the link to the photo's!
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to see new items but there isn't anything I see that I feel I need to have - yet. Not sure I'm feeling the Bonnie & Clyde vibe either. Maybe I need to refresh my memory. Also, is it just me or does the make-up impart a very pale (sickly) look to the some of the models? Part of the look I guess, but I like when the models look fresh.
I was taking a closer look at the shoes .... looks like pointed toes, some classic-type pumps, some flats, and pretty much nothing that appeals to me. THANK GOD!!! I have bought enough shoes, I was seriously worried that I'd fall in love with the entire fall selection. Of course I'm only seeing a small hint of what's to come, but I'm hoping they dump the straight heel and platform because that's what I like. :)
