"Thanks!" to Marietta who shared the latest email Madewell (click here) sent yesterday.The email features the City Slouch Trouser Jeans ($110.00) which are described as the following: "they're our latest stroke of denim genius: tailored pleats meet a modern, boyishly slouchy silhouette".
Is it just me or do these pants look weird around the crotch? Instead of these pants, Madewell should have featured the Mayfair Dress ($98) which is too cute for words!
What are your thoughts on the City Slouch Trouser Jeans? Do you like or dislike the style? Are you a fan of the pleats and/or length? :)
All the fashion tips I read tell me to avoid pleats on pants as they add bulk around the waist and hip. This cut is not flattering on anyone.
ReplyDeleteThey look a bit like harem pants, which are all the rage in France. I think it looks like she's wearing a diaper that needs changing.
ReplyDeleteThese couldn't be MORE unflattering. My rule of thumb is, if it doesn't look good on the model it's sure as heck isn't going to look good on me.

Yeah, but I clicked over to the madewell page. Overall, it's a cute collection. Much better than the dirty-denim look in the last bunch of stuff they had.
