This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)

I really think J.Crew is hurting to move merchandise. When I was in my local store yesterday they were doing more mark downs which I know is unusual for Sunday. All the sale stuff was 50% off. They said the same. I got a price adjustment on the striped bow top that I had bought last week so I only paid $29.99 in the end. The shirt was really not worth more than that to be honest. Just a simple piece of fabric with a grosgrain ribbon. The quality really is pretty poor when you really look at things. The material of the white off the shoulder top reminds me of bed sheet material, it is really a very average cotton shirt for $88.00, really??? I paid less than $20.00 at the clearance store, can't even imagine that I would pay close to $100.00 for this top. I wore it yesterday and it drove me crazy as it would not stay down on my shoulders. It moved every time I moved. It is making me reconsider my purchase of the Into the Wild print dress. I will probably take it back. The fabric on this is not that great either. My mother used to sew most of my clothes growing up and so I know quality fabric and sewing details.
ReplyDeletethe silk (greenish plaid) off the shoulder dress ...the one Jenna wore at fashion week... is in the on line sale section in many sizes. the flamingo skirt as well.
Deletei just received a perfect shirt and the material is so thin it looks like it is threadbare.....
@DD, agree that J Crew is still struggling with sales & the financial results reflect that. Nothing that hasn't already been addressed on this blog ad nauseam.
Delete@unknown, I ordered that dress in store this weekend. With the discounts, the net was $63. I'll take a chance on a silk collection dress for that price & see if it works. A full size run, however, says a lot about the dress & reinforces there not being a need to pay full price @ JC. Hope the dress stays up on the shoulders since the shirt in the same style did not. The shirt moved up with any sort of normal movement. I also picked up the garden linen shorts that are now less than $20. I bought a similar style last summer on super sale & they've worn well. I'm not helping J Crew's bottom line paying these prices, but they're great for mine.
Sale updated to 1500+ items on Saturday. Wasn't going to buy anything but somehow ended up with the navy washed trench coat, a merino cardigan in vintage elm and a Tippi cardigan in heather acorn. Have been looking for the Tippi for ever, on eBay too, as I have the sweater and together they make a great fall/winter twin set (yes, I love preppy;-)). As it disappeared from the website immediately after I placed my order I wasn't expecting it to ship. But just now got the shipping notice.
