I ordered the long-sleeve striped maxi dress in my usual 4 and was surprised to find it was too large in the waist and shoulders, so I returned it and reordered in a 2 when it popped back. The 2 arrived yesterday and it is so small everywhere that I could barely zip it up (not a good look, especially combined with head-to-toe horizontal stripes!). I'm assuming that the dress I originally got was a mislabeled 6/8. So now I have to return the 2 and wait for a 4 to pop back again, order it and hope it's a "true" 4? Eh, I don't know if I want to bother.
ReplyDeleteLooks like petite sizes have pulled out of stores once again. I stopped by the Eaton Centre (Toronto) store and found that their (tiny) petite section disappeared. I asked a salesperson if it had been moved, and she told me it returned to online only. Well, J. Crew didn't really even PROMOTE the fact they had a petite section. Guess the pop-up (which was in a few other stores) didn't work.
