ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, JA. I always forget to search 'Preorder'.
DeleteLove seersucker and saw the top and the matching skirt, each at a decent price point. I'm interested in trying those on. If i do end up buying the skirt, I would need to have it altered, since it's not petite.
I think my wallet is *mostly* safe with this rollout. I'm not really feeling the tropical prints as I'm more into nautical prints. Slightly intrigued by by the knotted ribbon sandals but not at full price. ( 1. I think JCrew shoes are overpriced for the quality 2. My feet are also slightly on the wide side and i run into size/comfort issues). I also kind of like easy linen midi skirt but it i suspect it won't be flattering on me.
DeleteI like the grograin sandals, too! J.Crew never makes enough size 5.5, that's the first to go out of stock. I always have to pay full price for it. I have enough J.Crew sandals for now... :-)
DeleteWhat I really need to do is to save my $$ for Fall. That's my favorite season from J.Crew.
The grosgrain ribbon sandals are very cute. The Easy linen midi looks promising. Also liking the matching seersucker cropped top and skirt.
DeleteLooking forward to getting the new Style Guide. Hope it comes in a timely manner.
I tried the linen midi in store - I thought it looked really cute on Ina (she posted it on her IG), but I didn't love it on me. It's very heavy in the hip area - so perhaps if you're straighter than I am on bottom it would be ok, but the pocket area didn't lay totally flat on the hips and the three ties on the side have to be manually tied/untied each time you wear/remove the skirt - not exactly my definition of "easy." The ones in my store were still fairly wrinkly which I think also detracted from my experience but honestly untying/tying the bows was annoying, fwiw. Will try to post a few photos on my blog soon.
DeleteAs far as the rest of the rollout, I think my money is safe in my wallet, which was my plan this month!
I've wanted a white midi skirt in linen since I saw a young woman wearing one last summer in Greece. So, I really like JC's option and it's a really reasonable price point. I actually like all of the colors in this skirt. Seems to be late in the season for releasing, but who knows. Into the wild print is cute & I like the button down version but will wait for sale. This would look great with green midi linen skirt.
DeleteI'm with JSR, I've got my eyes on the seersucker hookup! That was the only thing that caught my eye.
Delete@fablifeforever, thanks! Didn't realize it was the same skirt. I'm going to try on today.
DeleteHas anyone reviewed the linen tank top with fringe? It looks cute, but probably a piece that's not worth full price.
ReplyDeletei'm interested in that one too... would love to hear feedback on it.
DeleteI saw it in my local store yesterday in navy, white and the red/orange color. It looked like a cute top, quality looked nice. I did not have time to try it on. It looked like it would require a strapless bra but the fringe was a nice touch. I didn't see much that interested me although they did have a lot of the new stuff. I did order the gingham Campbell blazer in blue on Monday. I haven't bought any blazers from J.Crew in quite some time due to the discontinuation of the schoolboy blazer so I need a few blazers for work. I think this one will be versatile. Today is Thursday and it still has not shipped, it is coming from retail. I wish the stores would get on the ball and ship a littler quicker.
DeleteI reviewed the fringe tank on my IG @inawonderland5
DeleteI've said it before, but I love that there's a market for old JC on eBay, Poshmark, etc. I recently scored a backup pair of my favorite jeans - the midrise toothpicks in carbon (12453) - new with tags!
ReplyDeleteGotta give a shout out to J Crew's 24/7 Team, who found a short sleeve cropped popover at a deep discount and sent it to me speedily -- having a team working for customers is so appreciated in this day and age. Thanks again, Leigh!
