This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopping
by a J.Crew store this weekend to see
what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in
person, maybe you might be
willing to share that with us in this
post. In particular, if you could
share with us a few of the
noteworthy items that are available, at
what prices, and potential sizes
the store is carrying (as well
as the store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also,
please let us know if your local store is
carrying an additional percent
off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S.
I noticed that many of
you have already been reporting sale
items (and in which stores) in
other posts which by the way "thank
you!" :) I really appreciate how
helpful we are for each other!
July items starting to roll out slowly on Pinterest
ReplyDeleteStopped into my B&M last night - the sale section was full of garment-dyed tees (after reading the online reviews, I can see why) and Laila wedges. Additional 40% off sale.
ReplyDeleteyup....same here. boring...
DeleteAny thoughts on the high heel ankle strap sandals? I was thinking of splurging on the Stuart Weitzman nudistsong, but I saw these are half the cost of them and made in Italy. I've been eyeing this type of shoe forever and this is the only other one than the nudistsong that doesn't have a small heel...I need a big heel for leg lengthening possibilities ;)
ReplyDeleteI bought them and returned them- the placement of the strap in the front was weird and was not at all flattering on my feet
DeleteBlast! :(
DeleteWhile definitely not Stuart Weitzman quality, Steve Madden makes a very similar pair. I've also seen some similar styles at Nordstrom, I believe.
DeleteThe blog Fast Food & Fast Fashion just had a really good compairson of the Stuart Weitzman and Steve Madden. I'd suggest checking it out before you buy!
DeleteThank you! I checked it out and I saved the Steve Madden's in my Amazon cart! For $28 I have to try, right? Thank you so much, Stacy!!! :D
DeleteGoing to stop in for price adjustments. Also, I put the easy linen skirt on hold and I'm going to try it. I need a white linen skirt for my summer vacation to Greece and Kenya, so hope this one works. Store only had blue, but if it works I'll just have SA order. This is one of the few items I'm really interested in from the upcoming roll out.
ReplyDeleteI ordered the skirt in white; fit was tts. Store had the green one so I tried it. Pics posted on IG (peterst1). Also, store is 50% off sale.
DeleteIm currently on vacation and was able to stop at the clearance store in Lynchburg last weekend. Sadly I didn't have luck and was disappointed overall although I did arrive in the afternoon on sat. so not sure if good items sold earlier. I did call ahead when they opened in am and they were very nice to check shoes for me but said they were light on shoes and had none in back.
ReplyDeleteVery little shoes (quite a few green Laila wedges); skirts; shorts; dresses very sparse. The only current item of note was one clip dot midi charcoal in p10 and a couple of white SS popover dresses.
I was hoping to find some lookout or toothpick jeans but there was only one pair of toothpicks and no lookouts in total for sizes 27,28,29.
They did have a ton of swimwear and pants (ie pixies, marties). My only purchase was a pair of favorite fit black pants for work and a sun hat for total $20. Hubby got swimtruncks $8 so that was a great deal but that is all we bought.
@mygoddy, I'd suggest calling the night before to see if it's worth it they seem very helpful. When I was there it was 35% off prices but you couldn't use teacher discount with it. Hth
I asked about sunglasses they said occasionally they get some but they're gone right away.
jan, I wish you would have had better luck. At least you can say you have been to the infamous clearance store.
DeleteThank you, DD and thank you for your help with questions. It was pretty exciting anyway lol.
DeleteJan, thanks for the update. Agree with DD on wishing you'd had more luck. I'll give them a call to help set my expectations. But I know I'll go since I'm so close. Looks like @Monica Bonica had a lot of success in Arden. Fingers crossed it's a good visit for me too since I'm headed to that one.
DeleteWhen I visited the clearance store in Lynchburg last month I was very lucky, found some beautiful things, some even only recently rolled out. That being said it can be hit or miss. So maybe the best thing is to just let yourself be surprised: none of the things I bought were on my wish list exactly but I was so glad to find a Collection short that I had wanted last year, a pair of calf hair loafers (not the season for them now) and so on.
Delete@Mygoddy, I hope you find some great items! Arden seems to have a lot of good scores, wishing you good luck!
Delete@jan, thank you! I'll post after I go.
DeleteI returned the midi skirt in the morning floral print. I decided I hated it. With those pleats in the front it reminded me of pants from the 1980s and frumpy. When I sat down that area pooched out.
ReplyDeleteNo store trip for me this weekend, but I do continue to stalk for popbacks of a few ever elusive items each morning. It would be nice to catch them at 40% off & free shipping, although I know those odds are pretty slim. ;)
ReplyDeleteFor those interested, I've shared my weekly post of sales & deals taking place around the web this weekend, as well as my personal picks in this post.
I will be stopping into Madewell for a new Transport Tote. I have the Transport Zip Tote, now called the Transport Satchel but I am dreaming of something more easy-breezy for the summer and the tote is perfect. Other than that, I am bored with the summer offerings and trying to keep my spending at bay until the fall arrivals.

DeleteWow! Monica
DeleteGreat finds! I love my clip dot midi.
DeleteOT - found an old article (3 mos old) on why Madewell didn't release their fall 2016 collection to the press, online, and social media: http://fashionista.com/2016/03/jcrew-madewell
ReplyDeleteThat explains why I've been searching 'Madewell Fall 2016', and no pics available online or on IG. it's not a good idea not to release pictures of their collection to the public. Showing it generates buzz, and makes you want the products.
JSR,
DeleteMaybe they are also trying to prevent knockoffs from saturating the market. Jcrew showed lots of gingham and off the shoulder at spring 2016 Nyfw and those trends are at every retailer this season.
I have some returns to do if I have a chance. Finally return the bow shoulder tank to jcrew and the embroidered wildfield top to madewell.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I totally missed it but when do the Spring Rewards expire?
ReplyDeleteJune 30th. :)
Deletehas anyone seen the linen shorts in real life? F1571. The descriptions says the inseam is 7". Customer service says it's 7" but I really don't believe that - they look longer.
