This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.
So
if you have recently purchased,
or stopped by a J.Crew store to try
on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you
might be willing to share that
information with us in this post.
Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.
In
particular, if you could
mention a few of the noteworthy
details like fit, size, fabric, and the
like— that would be fantastic! Thanks
in advance! :)
GOSHOP legalese has been changed. Promo was set to go thru 11/16. It says 11/12 is the last chance for 25% off $100+. Maybe we will see free shipping no minimum?
ReplyDeleteReview of the Cate camis in gilded paisley lamé & iced lilac paisley here.
The Berry Kikis and Calf Hair Kikis:
ReplyDeletehttp://onecantgetoverthehabit.blogspot.ca/2013/11/cuckoo-for-kikis-and-quick-review-of.html
Loved them both - the berry print is gorgeous and goes with burgundies, pinks, lilacs, black - just gorgeous.
The calf hair kikis are excellent quality - very chic and such a great neutral for the closet!
Has anyone tried the double-faced wool crepe dress? If so, is it TTS?
ReplyDeleteHi everyone, I just posted a bunch of (random) reviews: Double-Faced Cashmere Tee, New Balance sneakers in the dusty beechwood color, Linen Rose tee, Fair Isle Leggings and the Boys' Puffer Jacket here.
ReplyDeleteSome reviews here.
ReplyDeleteI realize I am late to the game, but I love the Merino Pocket Tunic sweater. I originally bought a M (my usual alpha size), but later exchanged for a L for a touch more length. I love the ease of it, and don't find it unflattering. Plus, I know there was some concern about last year's version pilling; I'm happy to report mine has zero pills after three wears. Hip hip, hooray :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it isn't pilling! I love mine too, so easy to wear and I like that length, it's hard to find in a warm-ish sweater.
DeleteI have some belated reviews that may or may not help any of you, but hey, you never know. :)
ReplyDeleteEmbroidered-front tee (ivory/grey), funny birds tee, and the pebbled leather tartine satchel (grey) are reviewed here.
There are still plenty of the funny birds tees hanging out, but the two colors I have of the embroidered front tee and the tartine satchel are sold out. However, I can highly recommend them both, even if you have to get them in another shade.
Hi all, a few collection items and the coated toothpick jeans. Jeans look great and definite keepers.
ReplyDeleteCollection silk embroidered cashmere sweater - with the giant carpet motif on it. First, the silk embroidery is as vibrant as pictured - rather than dull and dowdy. Fit is loose. Wierd. Don't know if I love it. The wool is 85% cashmere, 15% mohair. Soft but a touch mohairy.
Collection foulard trousers in navy. These are great. High waisted for sure, so I took my larger pants size. Not for the petite ladies, sadly. 34" inseam! Silk-wool cloth, very nice. Fully lined. I am returning, though, because I am just too short for these. Bottom line: take into account that these will fit like the "favourite fit" of yore.
Bonded wool baseball sweater jacket. Got sent the acorn colour way by accident first. Very grandpa. Prefer the other colourway. Also, oversized for sure - I NEVER size down in anything, but my usual XS had odd little wings forming behind the shoulders in the stiff oversized fabric. If you want a boyfriend fit, get your regular size; if you want a trim fit, size down.
HTH!
A few reviews from the crewlet on my blog.

I reviewed the collection no2 pencil skirt with leather panels. TTS, it hits right at knees for tall girls; wool and leather; I'd recommend if you are into tuckin so that you the leather trim at waist can be seen.
ReplyDeleteNew arrivals are up on the website - lots of loud sweaters and a few lovelies!
ReplyDeleteAnd a huge update to the sale!
