Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. I keep checking this site every day hoping someone has found some cute things that I missed. Jcrew has been so disappointing this season. I haven’t bought anything which is very unusual. The only piece I’m interested in is the afternoon dress in gathered floral block print. There aren’t any reviews yet and I’m waiting for a sale.

    1. I check too and I have visited the store several times. I like some of the basics like the cotton button downs but not much else, unfortunately. I like some of the new sandals but haven't seen them in person and they’re quite expensive. Sport sandals I got last summer are falling apart after minimal wear so there is no way I’m spending the prices being asked.
I noticed a few things I liked at banana And in the FB group a few people mentioned banana factory. I ended up ordering a few pairs of wide leg pants, in linen cotton blend and tencel, for $25/30 each and not final sale. I don’t wash my pants a ton but I’ve had mixed results with some of these fabrics. My Everlane Lyocell (aka tencel) pants have washed well but that’s not always the case IMO. Maybe over time the tencel fabrics have improved.

    2. @Suz. Thanks for the prior reviews. I was unable to comment on blog for a while. Same here. Nothing to love in current JCREW. I did try the linen mini tiered dress in white from Banana. The arm holes were too big for my liking. Quality was good.

    3. I've noticed a few things I like from winter just sit there. In the past I'd have to check for popbacks but now they just sit there.

I am interested in item BF214, the Copenhagen shoulder bag in croc-embossed leather. In all my years of shopping at J.Crew, I've only bought their canvas totes. Has anyone seen this bag? I'm wondering about the quality.

    4. @Suz - I have sworn off JC sandals entirely after a leather pair that I'd only worn a handful of times completely became unglued while i was walking home. The soles now are also super thin and hard, like leather-wrapped cardboard. Every pair of JC sandals I've purchased in the past 3 years have left me with more blisters than ever before.

    5. EEPS, thanks for letting me know. I tried a few of the more flat ones in store and found them Inconsistent in sizing and uncomfortable. The more padded Menorca looks like it could have potential and I keep looking at the Mallorca platforms…with the promo and mailed coupon ($25 off $75) it would cost about $60 for both colors which is a fair price but the final sale and other issues make me really reluctant to buy them.
